  1. The joys of living in a 3rd World <deleted>hole.
  2. Yup, the article said he should have been at no higher than 200 ft and near the east bank of the river, and he was half a mile off the approved route.
  3. I read an article a few minutes ago, where they state the helicopter was not at a proper height or the correct flight path for military helicopters travelling though that area.
  4. According to the video above, the military helicopter took over responsibility for "visual" separation at night, that's just bonkers! A busy airport with multiple planes landing on that runway, and the ATC hands over safety to a helicopter trying to cross the runway path?!
  5. I just don't understand why the military helicopter wasn't told to hold his position while the plane lands, then told to proceed on his way. Putting them both on a collision course, even at different heights (in this case 200 ft difference), is just too dangerous.
  6. So military helicopters can just cross flight paths of inbound landing craft, at will?!
  7. AQI is at 188 right now near the Bangkok Immigration office, mission failing.
  8. I know, but obviously flying helicopters through flight paths and landing zones for airliners at a busy airport isn't working out to well. The military helicopters should for now on ask for clearance before entering, and hold until given the OK to proceed.
  9. This tidbit doesn't bode well, maybe helicopters should steer clear of busy airports designed for airline traffic.
  10. Why on Earth would ATC allow the helicopter to enter airspace even remotely close to that runway with an aircraft landing? Wouldn't they tell the helicopter to hold its position until the aircraft landed? I mean a helicopter can hover for a moment, right?
  11. What I've noticed is people buy large SUV's and just fly over them without slowing down. Motorcycles fly through the curb and the edge of speedbump so they don't have to slow down either. I assume these people are just mentally ill.
  12. He's a textbook narcissist, it's all about him.
  13. Please tell me she is joking, this country is doomed.
  14. I still think he was looking at the outbound jet to his right, not the one he hit coming in from his left.
  15. Anyone with any amount of motorcycle training/experience, or commonsense, would ever fly by a vehicle stopped at a Zebra crossing (or the middle of the road), thus blocking their view of what lies ahead. You drive for what you can see, and you need to be able to stop for what you can't, anything obstructing your view of the road is a hazard, SLOW DOWN!!
  16. I bet that headline doesn't make him too happy, he is as much a power hungry person as Thaksin, this would appear to make him seem inferior (lose face).
  17. From the video, you can see an aircraft leaving the airport to the right of the helicopter, at the same time another one is coming in landing from his left. I'm wondering if he was looking at the wrong plane when talking with the ATC, looking to the right, and not his left.
  18. They are saying the Blackhawk was on a training mission, who the heck was in charge of this failed training mission?!
  19. I'd say by the description of his actions, he is more Thai than foreigner.
  20. Yup, I'd rather eat no steak at all than to eat an old piece of leather.
  21. 4000 baht and wai isn't going to cut it, satisfaction knowing he is dead and gone would be more fulfilling.
  22. Well, unfortunately for everyone who likes breathing, she isn't in charge. Daddy is more interested in inflating his coffers, Casinos and making secret deals with Cambodia over Thai own lands and mineral rights is more interesting to him.
  23. Why on earth would a military aircraft be crossing the path of an inbound aircraft in commercial airspace near an airport?!
