I wish I could post the dashcam video, no voice in it, but I loved watching him scurry back to his BMW huffing and puffing with his tail between his legs....LMAO -
Patong punch-up: Foreign man swings at loud restaurant worker

Met one yesterday (same shorts and T-shirt look) on the way back from picking up my daughter at school, I was stopped at an intersection with a traffic cop directing traffic. A BMW M5 pulls up next to me over the yellow line facing oncoming traffic next to my car (I'm like what?), I assume he was trying to cutoff the oncoming traffic to turn right into a parking lot that was there, NOPE! Soon as the guard gave the OK for traffic in my direction to move, he floors it into the intersection as we are moving forward, almost hitting the traffic cop/guard and the side my car as he cut me off. He then goes about 150ft and slams on his brakes in front of me and gets out of his car and approaches me (all 5 ft 9" of flexing gym ape - tattooed everywhere). Soon as he got to my window, I asked him "are you F&%King stupid?", he then sees I am not a scrawny 150lb Thai that he can intimidate, mumbles under his breath and then heads back to his car as I told him "learn how to drive you "F&%King idiot". Maybe he should go back to the Russia and head to the war front and show the Ukrainians how bad*ss he is.....LOL My daughter asked me "Daddy, why does he look like a monkey?" ......I almost died laughing!!! -

Thailand set to ‘stir up’ the economy with juicy stimulus carrot

Vote buying and corruption appear to be the economic strategies of the Pheu Thai party, this should end well, not. -
Thailand’s debt drive: Putting the brakes on cars and homes
lordgrinz replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Almost everyone you meet here is in debt that would make most of us foreigners want to commit suicide, they have almost no way of paying back the debts they have racked-up, let alone add new debt. I mean is there even a check against peoples ability to repay debt here? -

That's what I told my wife, we will never see positive changes in our lifetime, especially after what happen in the last election. We are decades away from even the most modest of changes, anything else is a century or more away. It's sad because other countries in Asia are quickly surpassing Thailand, either they smarten up, or they will sink under their own ignorance. -

The RTP is nothing more than a mafia, at least that is how it is currently run, and with basically no oversight. They should be disbanded and a new police force should be put in it's place, one with government and community oversight. Let them earn their positions by merit, not by purchasing it with ill-gotten gains. -

Pretty much the same attitude I have, done with this country, let them do whatever they want. We live among barbarians, they have no intentions of becoming a civilized society. We have the same issues playing out in some demographics in the West as well, the barbarians are trying to make a comeback. -

Which means its doomed to failure here in Thailand, but I think culture needs to change as well, but that's obviously another doomed endeavor. -

Not sure about RTP per area, but I once did a lookup of the RTP to population ratios of Thailand vs the USA (per 100,000 population), they were almost identical. Which begs the question, where are all these RTP officers, and what are they doing all day? -

They really need to put together a tourist pamphlet with all these wonderful oddities, it could attract just the right people from across the globe. Should read something like "Welcome to real Sin City!" -

The people of Thailand will first need three things to happen before anything will change, none of which are present in Thai culture. In fact, number 3 below is so far down the list of importance to Thai people that it doesn't even register in their brains. 1) Common sense 2) Care for ones safety 3) Care for the safety of others -

The understatement of the year, maybe Thai's can see the obvious after all, it had to be hammered into their heads with a sledgehammer.....but hey, better late than never. Now will they do anything to fix the issue? Not a chance in Hell, now move along, nothing to see here. -

For this type of crime, serious penalties should be handed down, indeed... "Burn them at the stake".
