  1. Thailand is now fully under a dictatorship, and Thaksin is not it's leader, he is just another Chess piece on the board.
  2. Yup, one of the only things I agree with in Islam is some of their harsher laws about stealing, cut off a hand(s).
  3. It appears someone is upset, especially after his golden flour boy being ousted and ostracized.
  4. To pretend to the people that there is actually real justice in Thailand, it's just a show for the ignorant and/or blind citizens.
  5. Only one persons nod is needed for a "certificate of innocence", all others just follow suit, or else.
  6. He is in the protected pocket of someone who no one is allowed to question, until that relationship sours, he is untouchable. Lets hope he makes a horrible mistake and pushes a little too far, others have, and things went sour fast.
  7. "Over-inflated"? I see exponentially more under-inflated tires in Thailand.
  8. It's better than being found at the bottom of the Mekong with a stomach full of concrete, or erased from the face of the Earth like many others who have spoken against this countries leaders.
  9. She should feel lucky, other people who've questioned these "authority" figures in the past have been disappeared permanently.
  10. He seems to be in the hip pocket of the one we can't talk about, until that relationship sours, he isn't doing any time behind bars.
  11. Anyone eating any "raw" meat/fish in Thailand needs to have their head examined.
  12. Sadly, I agree. I have more respect for the people fighting the Junta in Myanmar, at least they are willing put their lives on the line for what they believe in. Thai people are the ultimate sheep, they keep getting kicked in the nuts, and they continue to wai and respect their oppressors.
  13. Yup, I told my wife that after MFP was kicked to the curb. I told her if they won, we might have seen some positive changes in our lifetime (10-20yrs), because obviously nothing was going to drastically change overnight. But with the way things are right now? There isn't a chance in Hell of things getting better for maybe 30 years or more, it's almost hopeless. Unless the Thai people rise up and throw out the dictators and Elites, they will be stuck with their fate.
  14. In order to become a "Hub" of anything, they are going to need to increase the education of the people first, which so far is lacking in all respects. It really is the first step, and until they start making huge investments in the education of the people, they will be left in the rearview mirror of their neighbors. A positive aspect of that would be the inevitable increase in highly educated people who would stop voting for corrupt dinosaurs.
  15. It will surely lower the PT party poll numbers, though they are as close to 0% as they can get, which leaves me scratching my head on what Thaksin's endgame is here.
  16. B450 Billion would do a lot more good being spent on education, especially in poor areas.
  17. So, based on the photos of the bike (ThaThaiger) there are no blinkers, no taillight, no license plate. He works for a delivery company that lets him drive a highly illegal vehicle on the streets?
  18. You can renew your license at the Land Transport Office on Tiwanon Rd in Nonthaburi with a Pink ID and Yellow Book, if you have them, no need for Residency Certificate.
  19. The biggest threat to Thailand is China, the sooner they realize it the better.
  20. When an entire country is built on corruption and greed, you shouldn't be too surprised when the Chinese show up to take part.
  21. Unless the people are ready to take what is theirs by force, they are just blowing smoke, look to your Northwest neighbors to see how that is done. First, gather some courage and grow a spine.
  22. If you pull a gun and not actually shoot it, don't be surprised when someone either takes the gun from you, or beats you to death.
  23. Well it's been many days since the verdict, and not a peep from the masses, the spineless are going to stay spineless I guess. Something like this would start a Civil War in most countries, here it becomes just another soundbite on the nightly news.
  24. That might finally force the EU, US, and other World leaders to put Thailand on the same list as Myanmar.
  25. No, it's definitely a lost cause, why? Because it will never happen the way they are approaching it, three times, and the same result.....at some point you have to do something different, even it is painful.
