  1. If he doesn't watch out..... a black van, a belly full of cement, and a river bottom might be his next stop.
  2. I agree, all countries should not allow foreigners to own land if they are not citizens.
  3. Inching closer to a Civil War, to tell you the truth, I think it's inevitable......but needed.
  4. I'm biting the bullet too for now. Cleaning the house and cars, doing laundry, walking the dog, exercising, taking care of my daughter through middle school while my wife gets the glory working as a director in higher education at a hospital in Bangkok. But I am now catching up on a lot more reading, just purchased a new Kindle (6 books this month alone) 😉
  5. I don't even understand what the endgame in Ukraine is, they aren't going to win, if anything this could eventually spark a World War (with a NUCLEAR POWER!). If the West had stayed out of politics in Ukraine back when it was under different rulers, this would never have happened. We shouldn't have been screwing around in Russia's backyard to begin with, anyone with half a brain would have known Putin would annex Crimea where he had an important military base to protect. This whole thing at this point is nothing more than a cash grab for the military industrial complex and politicians looking to grab their share of loot in the process. Meanwhile people are dying in this lost proxy war, and the cost to rebuild after it is all done will be worse yet.
  6. 10,000 Euros a month? Out of my league....LOL But yes, worried about the cost failure, family hating it there, and me being 55 is not exactly a great age to find work after spending the last 3 years unemployed (My employer got bought out while I was here as a digital nomad, I was let go in the transition - took 3 years for the new owners to get rid of me though....LOL)
  7. AMEN! I just wish my wife would make the choice to leave, I decided forcing her to do so would not be a good choice, it has to be her choice. But I personally hate our life here, I just want to go back home where I can drive, walk, cross a road in peace and safety. To where the air and water are clean, people follow rules and laws, and life is not so fast paced, get back to hiking, camping, and fishing back in the rural USA. My daughter would also gain from not growing up in this cesspool of selfish people, mass-corruption, pollution and lawlessness.
  8. Now they've just stepped over the boundary, your masters will be very disappointed! You wouldn't want to become like the Philippines to the Chinese, the Chinese don't play very nice.
  9. Really?! In Thailand it's the Modus Operandi of the RTP, there is nothing "allegedly" about it.
  10. Who brought the Arabs into this?
  11. Probably because their "major" cities are dumps.
  12. I hope they don't find him, and I also hope they prosecute the ladyboy for assault.
  13. It's self defense to me, I'll protect myself whatever way I see fit.....I don't care about the consequences afterwards, as long I am walking away in one piece unmolested.
  14. I am hoping so, if I and the wife are allowed to call ourselves transgender, we can get this to work.
  15. Nope, just for the Elite and their friends.
  16. I live in Mueang Thong Thani, it is what amounts to the "Wild West" over here, no road laws or rules are followed, and absolutely no police enforcement of any kind. I don't know if the police are even allowed to police this area, I believe it's considered some type of large private community. I compare it to the slums of New York, its a pit for which I wish I never moved, all I hope every day as that we can get out of here and never come back. I am all ears if someone can suggest an area of the city with good police presence/enforcement and a decent and safe English school program.
  17. It will be used to buy cigarettes, beer, and lottery tickets.
  18. You're naive to believe you can stop the money, the best course of action is to stop the career politicians who control the money and never leave.
  19. "Pollution" is a byproduct of "corruption", remove the latter to fix the former.
  20. Its like a religious cult, dangerous.
  21. For the right money, medical records and doctors can be bought.
  22. The problem is career politicians, the sooner we remove that barrier, the better for everyone. Very short term limits should be imposed, and no golden parachutes allowed.
  23. Technically isn't this the 3rd time?
