None of us will be taxed like low-income Thai's. My Scenario with my wife making close to the 25% tax rate, means that if I sent over B1 Million here, it would be taxed at about 25%. She paid B86 Thousand in tax last year, if I added B1 Million in remittance to our tax form, it would make our tax obligation B323 Thousand. So I would be paying B237,000 in tax on B1,000,000 of remittance ......I would be paying almost 3 times the amount of tax that my wife paid, that's insane!!! All this while being treated lower than a Soi Dog by the Thai people, Oh Joy!

Yeah, I am already waiting to hear the IO during my February extension process, ask me "So how are you funding your stay here, if you haven't sent money here in over a year?" If they do link visas and tax compliance, will they also give us crap about not sending money here, even if our bank account is above the Marriage 400,000/Retirement 800,000 requirements?

Lawsuit Challenges Paetongtarn’s PM Status Over Thavi Appointment
lordgrinz replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
She is a fraud, like many other so-called Thai "leaders". They like to embellish themselves, always trying to feel more important then they really are, just another pig, this one with lipstick on it. -
So they want us to do 90 day reports, do TM30's, do TM6's, do yearly extensions, do reentry permits, pay farang fees at parks, get COR's for drivers licenses, not allow us to own property, and in the news recently they want to create a farang tax on buying and selling real estate? And now they want to tax us on our WorldWide income, offering nothing in return for that money?! Give us land ownership, Permanent Residency, no more TM47/TM30/COR's/TM6/Etc., make farang pricing illegal, treat us like tax paying Thai citizens and then maybe being taxed on WorldWide income might make sense.

My wifes taxes already reach almost the 25% bracket for Thailand, so anything I add to our tax form will be taxed at 25% or more, where I am now currently paying nothing to the USA. Hopefully this new change never happens, but I am not going to give them any of my money, that's just not going to happen.

Thai court slaps 35.2m baht fine on pyramid scheme defendants
lordgrinz replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
They surely don't deserve annual 1,935.4% on their investments either....and this whole case doesn't make much sense, there are B52.8 million and B35.2 million fines, but there were 88 victims with only B7,012,150 in damages, which the defendants are ordered to pay back. So who is getting the B88 million in fines?!?! Let me guess, the Joe Ferrari's of the DSI? -
Thailand to tax residents’ foreign income irrespective of remittance
lordgrinz replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I'm wondering how fast they plan to get it up and running, as it is now the new changes on remittances for this year have people and RD employees scratching their heads. I would think it would make more sense to see how that pans out first for a few years, or suspend that change altogether and go straight to the WorldWide income method. -

Based on the damage, I am sure it's not far off from what the drivers speed was at the time of the crash. -

BangkokPost just posted again about the Revenue Department drafting law changes to move to taxing WorldWide income, the Director General of the Revenue Department seems to be Hellbent on passing this nonsense. -

They just need to get the word out, Thailand is the Land of Scams (LOS). -
So if there is a violent society where people advocate and promote terrorism and fatal attacks world wide, should we condemned to death too? We also have some very dangerous demographics in American cities where violence and fatal attacks are common among their breed, should we also condemn them to death too?
