Sure the Thai banks will start to expand and increase their cash flow...starting by increasing the bank fees for all those awful farangs and their huge amounts of money they bring in !!!! And of course, saving account high interest only for Thai, no for phalang...Farang only bring money and that's it. But I sincerely hope I am wrong in this rather trivial statement ?

Apart from innocent but naive tourists, who takes those touristic traps know as tuk tuks ?

Everybody with a brain gets to struggle at some point in Thailand. No matter if rich or poor. Struggles with the greedy local in-laws. The inefficient and excessive red tape and bureaucracy of the Immigration offices. Various handymen or service technicians who either overcharge or just do not know the job. Crooked real estate managers or developpers who do not do their job and just try to squeeze out as much money as they can from the foreigner. Crooked taxi or tailor cheats who will overcharge or who will outsource the work with crappy jobs: Watch out also how some tailors in Bangkok or Hua Hin do the cloth quality trick,. They will show the material unstiched which will be of decent quality but the cloth used will be another very similar of lower grade. Often done in making suits. Getting ripped off with the taxi or tuk tuk cheats refusing the meter... Restaurants that cheat on the bill...and so on

What on earth is wrong with all these foreigners who become totally mad, stupid and crazy in Thailand. To much booze ? drugs ? both ? God knows. Such "fine quality" tourists give a bad image of all foreigners in the Kingdom. England should step forward and request a warrant and have the bloke deported and jailed once back in the UK.

Sure, as the USA needs to sell more of it's weapons to finance even longer wars all over the world and mainly in Ukraine. While millions of americans are living on the threshold of poverts on the streets of NXC, LA, Detroit, New Orleans..... ole Biden is trying to get more budget extensions from Congress to finance his buddy in Kiev. So the best guilable are the NATO members who have to shell out hefty billions to be part of the club.

I was no Trumper. But on seeing the disaster with Biden and how his rogue cronies are creating wars and leading to global economic doom, I think that Trump was not that bad after all. And of course I rather see Trump with his hottie wife then see Biden slipping on stairs and mistaking names and countries in public.

These people comming to Thailand and paying all the absurdly high prices are causing inflation for the entire country and putting the entire tourism industry to risk. There is more money to be made in large amount of luxury resorts with crashed prices...then with a few exclusive resorts that charge 1000$ a night or even more for a bunch of spoilt millionnaires or billionnaires.

With all the cars that are allowed in Bangkok the pollution with pm2.5 particles will hurt even the rich and hi-so.

With emirates, the cabin staff is far more polite and generous in giving free wine and booze, compared to Qatar.

So the chap is openly wasting the most valuable commidity of the world that is getting scarce in Thailand....that is water ?

What if this falang gets finally kicked out of Thailand ? Will the in-laws grab all his assets in Thailand ?

The retiree was what he is, not doubt. But not to overlook the local thai lady showing her farang bf/husband all around, acting big with his money and acting like a pop star. Their heads can turn also and cause such heated incidents.

Good idea as most sales staff barely speak english mostly in towns like Bangkok or Hua Hin, with big spending power from the foreigner retirees. When you shop and the sales girl just shakes her head as they do and says the usual "no can do" perhaps due to not understanding, it's a big loss for the business.

Thailand on the other hand must urge airlines to offer cheaper rates from the west if Thailand wants to continue to get the good foreigner money.

Lazada will shut down !!! But the chinese who are smarter will crash prices even more and offer their crap at even cheaper rates then now, incl. VAT. It's the supplier at the end of the food chain who will suffer a bit more or stop doing business with the ruthless online platforms and their crashed prices with free shipping.

What about the tax issues that are pending against foreign pensionners ? No fear at all on a tourist visa.

Better to plainly avoid comming here, if possible, during the hot season that runs from march to october.

Wow...drug dealers and murderers have got out with far less and sometimes with no jail time. Guess they want to get back at the rich maybe ? But what about all those fine young ladies of 30 years old who scam the guilable falang retiree boyfriend-sponsor ?

The main point should be is to look how much cheaper is the cost of living in the Philippines, compared to Thailand that is getting more and more costly day by day.

Can one have a LTR retiree visa and use it only for a few months each year and thus not be subject to the new tax rules ? Or does the fact plainly to have a LTR pensionner visa mean that the tax lads will be after you even if you don't stay more then the 180 days ? Is it 180 days for the fiscal year that is from jan to december or how is it counted ? Thank you.

Use Bolt if you can, cheaper and more available in outer parts of Hua Hin. If you are say in Hin Lek Fai area near Black Mountain, you may have issues as they are often rather reluctant to serve that area.

Biden is a disaster for global peace and prosperity. Even a fool would know that.
