The apple Air pod Max headphones are cool in design, give the digital co-funder-workspace look when worn in airports, but definately are not worth the trip as they are far to heavy on the head and just try to do your laces and bend down then watch how they may slip. I would go to a large bangkok store, try on each model and see how you feel weight in each one, check the sound quality next or the other way round, check on how long the claimed battery lasts, and then see how easy or not it is to pair with other devices....and write down the brand and model...smile and say you will give it a thought....and once back home, order online !! It will be far cheaper. Same procedure for headphones or ear phones, provided of course you can test them onsite but remember to desinfect as you don't want to try something gone into somebody else's ear !!

Many places avoid cash to avoid theft from the staff. Service can be awful and more the place is popular, the worse it can get. And not only in Thailand. But with all the foreigners in Thailand, trying to play it jet-set-two-week-millionnaires, who just smile and say no problem, why should tthe local popular restaurants bother to consider better forms of service ? Last but not least, often they don't care when it's a foreigner, as they only want the falang's money and not really have the falang around. Not everywhere of course, but it's the case in many restaurants. And the more popular the town with foreigners, the worse it can get. Just post the name of the place and mention how bad it is...but only once you are out of Thailand of course😁

Which is why in Thailand you never go around with no helmet and try to look like a thai on a bike and avoid driving even a car yourself. Use public transport or Grab. One is always amazed in seeing all those foreigners in Pattaya, Phuket, Chang Mai, Hua Hin and on the many Koh's... driving on 2-whellers all over with no helmet, just flip flops and no gloves, and trying to get the local-look.

What about the Brit arrested and treated like a criminal just for posting a review on Google while still in Thailand ? (the chap should have waited to be out of the country before posting just as many do here .-)

LTR is definately useless and not worth the hassle for the retirees who are in Spain or south of France in Summer and who only want to come to Thailand for 4 months during the winter season back in Europe.

And mainly how to avoid the official taxi and tuk tuk cheats. Always write down the price you see on the menu someplace or take a pic. Cause in many restaurants when the check arrives, strangely the total price does not match the total you can sum up via the menu. Of course no problem for those who love being cheated and want to feel posh by not asking. But for the others, always a good idea to see if the restaurant tries to "make a mistake". Not to mention the cheating from the tailors who show you a specific type of cloth quality but when it is stiched, (usually for suits) one can feel that the quality is not really the same as the bare cloth shown on the order (always ask for a decent size sample before and say it's to consult with your great grand uncle who is is the hotel and did not come...😆). In the girlie bars, never, never let the tab add up. You order, you pay straight away. And watch as how they frown as they will understand fast that you cannot be cheated out at the end, when half boozed !!!

Due to the quality visitors who come to Thailand with no money or no travel insurance, that things become difficult for other decent folks. RIP to the deceased of course. But after 55 years of age say, it could be a good idea to plan in advance such issues and leave sufficient funds for any form of health emergency repatriation back home or other situations that need repatriation. No finger pointing at anybody but such situations do give a bad image to the entire foreign community in Thailand and mainly the pensionners. But what is the UK embassy doing ? After all the UK like the US does have trillions of dollars to send all over Ukraine or Israël. Could the UK embassy not show some respect and use a few pennies to repatriate the remains of their citizen who has served their wars all over the world ?

Why even waste time going to court in Thailand as usually the falang is always at fault, no matter what or how.

Ever since the US sanctions against Russia were pushed in by the USA, globally most prices have increased. Not the only reason obviously,. but it did create a sense of global inflation and provided a sort of "blanc-seing" to many, to hike their rates.

Private car is far better, more convenient and door to door service, with a very small price difference for a foreigner. But you have those farangs that are cheap jacks and prefer to save a few pennies I guess. Those are the quality tourists Thailand loves to encourage.

Even when they are not on holiday depending on which government office you go to or embassy abroad, mainly the some in Europe, they will do everything not to do the job and send you back.

Because there are no garbage cans with proper disposal services. No recycling points where people can bring their used fridges or furniture to be disposed properly. One may wonder where all the public money goes...even though we all know the answer.

Utter rubbish as they are still fussing on Visa issues with EU nationals, despite the fact the the western europeans have some of the best global health insurances in the world by law and one of the highest retirement pensions.

Never post when still in Thailand. Always wait till you leave Thailand then you post your reviews on all those hotel or restaurant scammers in corrupt Thailand.

Yes let's welcome the quality tourists in Thailand and let's rather harass the retirees who own houses on lease on their visa issues...
