  1. Buy a cheap PC if you have a Mac. As they can apparently see if it's a Mac and automatically it increases the price.
  2. This is where the cheats, agents and speculators will show up and make an offer that is just a ripp off as it will be far lower then what you initially paid and it's worth. The main targets usually are the foreigners who have purchased or leasehold and are wanting to leave following the new tax rules and constant immigration hassles.
  3. Always watch how those hotel reservation websites cheat with crooked practices. Depending on the time of the day you reserve, depending on the computer you have (the algorithm of the site can detect if a Mac or a PC), depending on the country and the area where you are, the price can double. Call the hotel directly and negociate a deal. It often works. Avoid also those houses with private pools in developpments. Often they overcharge and are not very conveniently located or close to the beach. You will have to take a taxi to reach town for your meals and get scammed again. Choose a place that is close to the main commercial and entertainment areas and check it out on Google maps before.
  4. The new tax rules aimed on foreigners will make the bread and butter for a new generation of crooked tax-lawyers and accountants in Thailand. People are desperately trying to sell their property. No foreigner is buying anymore. This will also make profit and the bread and butter for the opportunists who will bid to purchase from the foreigner at ridiculously low prices. Not to mention all the side effects on foreign investments, as foreigners will think only once and not wish to invest in Thailand.
  5. As soon as a comment is directly aimed to me with rude or unplesant remarks, I put the poster on "ignore" immediately. No time to waste with j*rks.
  6. The fine falang "quality tourists" that Thailand loves to bootlick ?
  7. Many are trying to sell off their properties but nobody is wanting to buy any more. No matter what the price may be.
  8. How about taking it to a mecanic at the dealership ? But to find a mecanic who knows his job could be a long lasting saga.
  9. Read in a post that Hua Hin yesterday was under a cloud of pollution caused by the usual farmers burning their cane fields or other scumbags burning garbage and dead leaves
  10. Rule number one is never to get involved in the wars of others mainly those of the US or Russia.
  11. Money will flow in once they start to enforce the income tax on foreign income after 180 days of stay and punish all farang tax residets.....so might as well start spending government money straight away.
  12. When it comes to grotesque or reprehensible attire, nothing like going to a farang sports bar and enjoying the sight of the beer bellies mouting all over.
  13. No issue as to own or not a EV. The point here is that the roads are a constant threat to drivers and not to mention the corrupt BiB who love targetting farangs on the road,
  14. It's about time to bring those poor people back to Thailand and not allow them to go back to that region full of problems.
  15. SingAPorn replied to bignok's topic in The Lounge
Got a maid who is a hottie and does great service...as much as for the dishes and all the rest the OP hint's for. But it does carry a slightly extra tag. ????
  16. Plan B could be to move out to a more friendly countries in Asia, with less immigration hassles, hotter gals, cheaper prices and great quality of living.
  17. Netflix is the worst as they regularly detect VPN's and block,
  18. There should be a law that forces requires managers in pool-villa developpments to assist their farang residents on the immigration house registrations on-line. These people are quick to charge absurd prices for their services but do not offer any complimentary assistance to their property owners within the residential complex.
  19. It's getting tempting to start wearing a personal bodycam when dealing with the immigration or police and other BiB's.
  20. whatever you say, but how to know that you are on a legal or illegal site ?
  21. Get solar pannels. It will avoid getting cheated by those gated pool villa developpments in Hua Hin, Phuket or Pattaya who overcharge on electric and water to their farang clients residents who own property on leasehold.
  22. increase salary but lower the thb value to compensate and crash the prices... 1 us$ should yield 45 thb. but if prices increase it will benefit to exports but definately not to the foreigners who will be financing the whole scheme. a weaker thb does not mean cheaper prices and tourists will soon realise and retirees will sell and leave.
  23. Android TV boxes are illegal despite being sold all over apprently. Is there some kind of official sticker or norm not to buy something illegal ?
  24. Yes it's a classic clerk over the counter cheating tactic. Your change is put on the counter but on the side and the rest is put in front. Mechanically you will only take what is in front and ignore the bills on the side. This is used all over the world that's why i always make sure when in Thailand or abroad to have small bills etc. A nuisance but necessary, Also there have small pocket translators now on Amazon that are connected to the gsm network at no extra charge or subscription, Very useful to communicate if you do not or cannot use google translate on your regular phone.
  25. No, prices will just inscrease for the rent-à-week/per month, female entertainement guides. it will never be less as there is far to much money to make,.
