  1. You must be readin them there Yankee histree books then . The "Allies " won WW2 and don't you ever make the mistake of forettin it ! Mubbee you should done check the list of "Allies" at the time ! Or does you only likes "fair weather friends"?
  2. I entered to topic the same way ....via the unread topic list. I was unaware there was an lgbt or xyz category but regardless I gave my responses without the prejudice or scathing that has eventuated.
  3. Job done then .
  4. Is unclear if your brother has spoken directly to you about it or has just "let be known" . But either way I would just wait until there is an opportunity to let him know and understand you are happy for him. And unless other people try to probe your opinion keep it as private information.
  5. Did I mention war mongering? Or being pro putin at any time? You seem to have an uncontrolled predilection for projecting paranoid assumptions.
  6. I can only agree with those who confirm that it is the constant high temps that are wearing down tolerance . Everything is hot to the touch even well after sundown and night temperatures stay in mid to high twenties. Bonus time for ice factories but bad for the economic capacity of even those who have only electric fans to cower in front of. Have not noted any dire warnings of electric supply issues due to low hydro capacity and with Thailand about to enter wet season maybe not a problem as only a couple of years back.
  7. The US sent massive military supplies to the UK, China, and the Soviets on a commercial interest basis nearly 1 year before opting in to ww2. And that only happened when the Japs declared war followed very soon after by Germany. Funny no really how the $ Cost of war features so high ahead of human deaths.
  8. I have had one of two different results when renewing extension. Some times regardless of when 90 day is due I have been given an updated 90 day form in passport along with new extension. Other times I have only received the extension and the 90 day is ignored . If exiting and returning with re entry permit any previous possibly convenient coincidental dates get disrupted anyway by a restart of report span so I have formed to habit of making no assumptions with Immigration stamps and outcome for anything.
  9. I feel...reassured !
  10. Take it to the extreme then ...Will we be allowed outside ?
  11. Lol. True for those who desire the image. Unfortunately the reality so often featured not only in Thailand is that money .does not purchase driving competency .
  12. Or are well funded lobby groups countering competition with propaganda and bureaucratic obstruction? Perhaps not dis-similar to initial resistance to Japan then Korea then Taiwan then Chinese whatevers?
  13. In "real " terms of usage for that majority? IMO no.
  14. Why can't rational people come to terms with the fact that "horses for courses" still applies ? Somewhere I recall reading that the average speed of a horse and carriage along the main street of New York in the early 1900's was about 16 mph. Now supercars in traffic average about 4 mph.
  15. Does the typical owner of an ev require 100 kph in seconds in urban streets?
  16. Whoah Neddy ! Less assumptive aggression please! I am merely adding opinion to an aspect of ev operating costs that I have never seen mentioned or "factored in ". I do not own an ev but I do agree that in most ways they have an advantage over ICE vehicles. The simplist explanation to support my approval is explained just the same as EV versus ICEV. But more to the point of road/highway taxes to offset costs of creation or maintaining I have yet to see mention of such imposed on ev. The historical imposition of fuel taxes theoretically based on providing transport corridors has long been made illegitimate by use of public taxpayer funds to create toll roads operated for profit . OSY ! Regardless it is road user levies that keep wheels turning. Best efficiency is rail !
  17. To fish and chips nothing other than perhaps recycled vegetable oil . But I understand the question raised is when will Govts. introduce an identified levy ( tax ) on EV charging stations ? And will that extend to the home charger plug in wall socket arrangements people have?
  18. Don't inform the troops then !
  19. Really? So you have no problem explaining why you would equate vaccines effective against bacterial infections with equivalence to antivirals ? I ask this of you with zero reference to my educational background , expertise or such other.
  20. IF there is/was/ will ever be an application of Thai road rules under law then it states that a vehicle that approaches a 4 way intersection a "give way to the right" applies unless controlled by traffic lights giving priority . However the recent proliferation of small electric vehicles that so many now inflict themselves arrogantly and dangerously do so illegally in any road traffic scenario. Unfortunately in this situation the victim of injury is a foreigner and the SUV driver I assume is Thai. Outside of a degree of expected humanitarian considerations the SUV driver is right . In countries where electric buggies even for disability use are limited to specific speeds on established footpaths , not roadways. Here I have witnessed 3 up children intermingling with street traffic on such a unit displaying an attitude of legitimate correctness despite several RTP advertisments stating not ! But then again motorcycle sidecars , roof-racks are illegal. While I have sympathy for the injured Swiss man I would like to understand why he thought to have the right to cruise through a broad intersection on a tediously slow unlicensed electric toy ?
  21. Did you ever research how those vaccines invoked immune protection?
  22. Medicine? I read a proposal to create a man made laboratory intervention that supposedly will be superior to a normal immune response that has developed alongside viral mutative presence. Same viral presence that is acknowledged to have had a major impact on evolutionary processes. How clever have we already been on preserving non viable specimens of many species including our own and in cases encouraging proliferation? Even the Greek example of genuine understanding of the natural selection process included "offering" newborns that demonstrated obvious deformities to the Gods at the bottom of cliffs by the sea as special . As doctors now do not try "too hard" to ensure the survival of marginal medical victims the ancient Greek authorities understood the implications to society of lifelong dependency. In these oh so modern times the opportunity to have mandated medical products is a corporate investor's dream. Especially when given everlasting indemnity . You don't happen to own a "fainting goat" for entertainent do you?
  23. Dare? Like a kid's game or a pay tv contest for Homers ?
  24. No sale. I have no affinity to the political regimes of any YOU have nominated. But in isolation of consideration what exactly is it that Cuba presents as big a "threat" as North Korea that deems it worthy of gross suppression while maintaining a prison camp there housing individuals without charge or acknowledgement in contravention of international law that on the other false hand of democratic principles is denied and ignored? I will waste no more effort in pointing out multiple causes to dismiss your sad delusional loyalty to a country you do not live in.
  25. Did you enter Thailand at the start of the validity period of your Non O visa? Long stay visas are valid ( or used to be) for entry for 12 months from start date of valid for use . In which case you may be correct if inside of valid for use date but safest to ask at any Imm.Office.
