The symptoms are the result of both the pathogen disrupting cellular activity and the immune system ( yes we have such a thing ) attempting to destroy the pathogen. It seems lost in general opinion that there is a difference in creating antivirals and antibiotics. A Vaccines by definition is a word that applies to both but antivirals are notoriously much more difficult to develop than antibacterials . Natural immunity is decidedly enhanced by maintaining bodily fitness but certainly does not guarantee infection by a pathogen. There is the example of acquired immunity demonstrated by milk maids who suffered the annoyance of cowpox and when smallpox was circulating a population they never succumbed to that often deadly disease. That was at a time when the existence of such distinct pathogens was unknown. But the association of one illness providing protection from the other was certainly recognized. I am however very suss on the mRna question. Our immune system has a procedural methodology. The mRna idea bypasses pretty much all of it and I believe that is why it creates more issues than it solves.

I find it odd to see someone defend autocracy as a bastion of democratic principles . Do those who identify as "left leaning" actually advocate transing kids as a political partisan ideology or unconditionally welcome open borders or is that simple disingenuous counter partisan propaganda you mindlessly subscribe to? Is it socially advantageous to encourage unrestricted autocracy that will eventuate in dictatorship not dissimilar to that of Iran or Afghanistan ? Personally I have no objections to the limitation of legal recognitions pertaining to distortions of social norms any less than to witnessing the infiltration of fringe evangelical influences within the Oval Office .(Paula W ?) Political extremism is a danger in all and any direction.

An unspoken reveal of the proliferation of fake IDP's ? No surprise given that these booklets ( or at least the one I have recently renewed legitimately ) are not very sophisticated in any way and so open to fraudulent production as were passports in years past. Or is it due to lobbying from disappointed investors in "Driver Training Schools " that have not experienced any lucrative stampede of compliance minded expats ? One that I drive past regularly rarely has any activity and weeds are prolifically invading the tracks. IDP's are nominally valid for 1 year from date of purchase but only 3 months recognition from date of last entry in(to) Thailand. So that validity was always intended for tourist drivers on maximum duration of "tourist " stay. Various methods for extension of stay as a tourist have created some conflicts. My experience in requested presentation of IDP and origin country Driving Licence usually results in confusion at the IDP and sometimes enthusiastic discussion about origin country. In many years since I have had two attempts at declining validity of my IDP . One was simply a denial due to ignorance and the other an attempt to invalidate on the grounds it had no Thai translation page. That latter one was resolved by indicating the "International" title which gained a laughing dismissal of the request for Bht 100 and a wave to proceed. The former was resolved after a quick reference to a senior which resulted in a sulky wave of dismissal . But in serious contemplation of real risk impact of foreign drivers from the US and Europe who drive on the opposite side of the road to Thai I do have some sympathy to the move !

Of interest is that this drama arises from a supposedly loyal Red Shirt stronghold that some strangely still believe holds Godfather Thaksin in awe !

In an honest opinion I would suggest that regardless of whoever was POTUS that the same or similar outcome would have eventuated, As is becoming increasingly made clear it is the dictate of those who cling to the control of the global administration of wealth that determines Govt. policies even when in total contradiction of claimed electoral public mandate. The real danger is in the presumption of the contrived right to dominate/ subjugate another nation for anything other than demonstrable immediate threat. Iran had/has been complying with the provisions it agreed to while in pursuit of peaceful nuclear domestic energy development even after Trump so dramatically complied with background directives to revoke participation on non evidential grounds. As a nation that has survived the imposition of theological social constraints and sanctions that have only inflicted/constrained the general population and yet has developed and is currently demonstrating a capacity to defy yet again an assault by a US backed counter theological enemy is there any doubt as to the resolve ? Is it so easy to forget the historical US supported war between Iraq and Iran in which the US supplied the ingredients for chemical weapons which later provided a basis for a fictional excuse to take US dominance of Iraq and a lingering hatred for having failed to dominate Iran? The Persian Iranians have a united resolve to retain Nation in spite of Mullahs or the etc's !

A principle reason the US has historically funded such research in many global locations is that institutions such a Universities that receive grants and have fee paying students undertake the work is that the results become the property of the US.
