Whether the convicted felon wins or loses, I agree that history will show it was a mistake by Trump to do an early debate. But I think that was an accidental error. There is no way that Trump could have known that the debate would have been as incredibly bad as it was for Biden. I think its safe to assume early debates which haven't happened before, won't happen again.

He has already done that to a number of places. Putin regularly and intentionally targets civilians including schools, hospitals, and residences. Putin would have been fine with a puppet nation as in the past but that option has passed. If he is to win, he needs a slave state where all anti Russian Ukrainians will be made to flee or they will be killed. Most Russians do not see Ukraine as a separate country from Russia based on the history they were taught. A reason most Russians still support this war. Ukraine has been independent now for quite some time and most Ukrainians want to be divorced from Russia. Ukrainians want to be a western democracy no longer under the thumb of Moscow. That should be their choice to do so, not Putins. Yes there are many Ukrainians particularly in the east that are more loyal to Russia. It's not only a matter of language of course. Nobody said this was not going to be messy. As far as endings favorable to Ukraine, sure it might involve ceeding some land in the east, but any kind of "deal" where Ukraine isn't going to be NATO/EU will just be a pause for Russia to regroup their military power for the next assault. The war mongerers here are Putin and all the Putin toadies telling lies for him. This is a war of choice by Putin. He could instantly decide to end it if he wanted to.
