  1. Now you're a Grab customer service worker?!? You really are incredible. Reporting on a form about double payment before you are forced to pay double pay is in my view very related to double payment and that issue could be described on their form along with documentation. I already said I get your point about actually double paying being cleaner. I haven't decided yet which I will do. So sue me!
  2. Now that's a good question. How did we live before mobile phones and a lot of things? But I do know that the service is an incredible deal in Thailand. Reportedly in Latin America as well. Compare to the U.S. where it has become a luxury service only rich people can use often plus if you don't leave a big U.S. style tip the driver might assault you or vandalize your house.
  3. You don't get it. If I get an order with a problem the form that used to be there to report is now missing. There is nothing on the app to report such a "glitch" as you call it. Are you just here to hurl personal attacks? Seems so, so again, go away troll.
  4. I was surprised to see that. I hope he won't be doing that for all videos. I would suggest fast forwarding to the MTG song because it's good as usual. Maybe for some reason he really needs the extra money. He's famous for sure, but how rich I have no idea.
  5. Yeah I do need cashless but can pay cash for the time being.
  6. I don't see how resolving the issue of the 300 baht is related to my version of the app totally BLOCKING getting help via live chat, phone, or normal form complaints like missed items. I see no form to complain about the flippin' software.
  7. Hi there special prig, I said I would pay it. I didn't say when. Then soon after I saw the info about that form. I wasn't linking paying and using that form as you assumed. You being special prig seem to ASSUME a lot of things to fuel your insults. I thought to send that form BEFORE paying as it was related to paying double before paying double. I do now see your point about paying double BEFORE filing that form which I didn't before see as necessarily related I don't know that it is or it isn't and neither do you. The form has a field to explain the problem and it is a related issue in either case (actually paying double or being demanded to pay double when it shouldn't be). it still seems silly to pay double in order to fit closer into their form, but yeah I might do. Because of that form, I have delayed doing either right away. I might pay first, then file it. I may file it first.
  8. Hopefully, your loss if you don't, many of you already know of the incredibly fabulous musical stylings of Randy Rainbow. Well, now another presidential election season is hotting up in the U.S. and no doubt Randy will be on it. In this election, as usual, LGBT civil rights will be on the line, particularly trans rights which the maga republicans are targeting viciously. Sadly I see Randy is now including sponsorship ads. Good that he is making money but it degrades the viewing.
  9. As I already said I would be happy to eat the 300 baht IF it actually fixed things. But no evidence that it would.
  10. Yes its a tad FUBAR. To add insult to injury I was getting free delivery on my plan with cashless but now fully charged.
  11. As explained before there is more than one problem. The false payment demand of course but also complete blockage fronl help at live chat, app calls, and even reporting mundane comments problems like missing items in future.
  12. Hi there. The problem order was a cashless debit card order. Its fair to assume the driver knew it was prepaid. But now their system is demanding that I pay again. They will still.send cash orders but have blocked cashless orders until I pay.
  13. No need to insult me prig. No I haven't made the demanded payment yet. The text on the double payment report form is nothing like my situation.
  14. It's an Andriod app on my phone.
  15. I think there is a range of the transactional factor for ALL kinds of human relationships but I also think because of the tourism / foreigners seen as walking ATMS culture in Thailand, there are more challenges in tempering that than in most other countries. We have some people posting here that either didn't feel that it was such a challenge and/or overcame the challenges and that's great, but I am speaking in generalities (which may or may not be true). I remember before I had a car (which I had at age 16) that I had friends who had cars and they could be real good friends but the fact that they had a car made them more desirable and that fact couldn't be denied so feelings of maybe using or being used were at least under the surface.
  16. I use it too but there are some restaurants I love only on Grab.
  17. It's subjective and I've only been there as a tourist but I felt Amsterdam was even more gay friendly.
  18. Different issue but it is finally a form I can fill out and explain the issue plus they say they will email back. So I will try. Thanks.
  19. I see your point but look how both Target and Bud caved when pressured by the anti LGBT right wing.
  20. Another funny thing. I'm a big spender on Grab. The drivers all know me and happy to see me and my tips. I'm on upgraded status with them. Yet such a problem. Oh, the humanity!
  21. OK My Grab software situation is even worse than I thought! Not only can't I contact them over this error payment demand but I'm finding that the usual forms needed for reporting any future problem like missing items etc. are also blanked out. It's insane that they no longer have a contact option outside the app. So I give up. I will pay the false charge and hope I don't have many such similar problems in the future. Even if I had to "eat" 300 Baht a month because of this stupid software problem it would be worth it to me. 3000 a month probably not Also maybe the missing stuff will be restored if I pay the false charge but that seems doubtful. BTW yes I did remove and reinstall the app. No luck.
  22. No won't starve. The apps have restaurants with dishes that I want not available nearby at places I wouldn't travel to either. far away or not on baht bus routes, etc. Plus the apps particularly Grab have amazing promotions especially if you pay for upgraded status. I also use Panda and rarely Lineman but all the apps have exclusive restaurant listing meaning if you want that place on an app it must be on that one app.
  23. Any different? I've never been a straight person in Thailand or anywhere so ... Maybe bi people can have an informed opinion on that question. But the topic isn't about that but people seem to want to push it in that direction. I can think of similarities and differences but again that isn't the topic. As stated this topic occurred to me after watching a video by a gay man talking about good places for gays specifically to move abroad. He made negative comments about Thailand as detailed before. I have often seen Thailand marketed as a gay paradise specifically a gay paradise. Obviously no place on earth is really a paradise gay or not but still, people will understandably be attracted to such promoted places regardless.
  24. None of the above. I'm here, I'm queer, and Thailand is my "home" (pending current extension stamps). But enough about me. I think the gist of this topic is that it's hard to refute that Thailand is a truly incredible destination for gay tourists. But when those gay tourists become gay expats, sooner or later, it becomes questionable if Thalland is highly recommendable to gay foreigners for the long haul. ▷ Gays in Thailand 🏳️‍🌈 Is it a LGBT paradise?
