I like a healthy balance. I hate businesses that won't accept cash and I'm reluctant to travel to countries (China) where you absolutely need digital.

I call B.S. The River to the Sea brigade were protesting immediately after October 7, many celebrating it, well before there was any response from Israel. Anyway, it's been obvious to me from the start that this was the Hamas plan. Bait Israel into a ferocious response, maximize their own civilian casualties, and take the win though P.R. It worked better than they could have hoped for in their wildest dreams. Yes Israel because they're still stuck with that horrible Netanyahu took the bait to a higher level than a more moderate Israeli leader would have done, but any Israeli leader would have responded as would any leader in any other country so attacked. As far as your definitive conclusions about what how the food kitchen workers got targeted, those conclusions can't honestly be taken as fact at the moment.

Disingenuously pleading ignorance. Here's the deal. Isis is solely responsible for the horrible terrorist attack in Moscow. Dictator Putin feeling vulnerable that Russians will see him as failing to protect their security predictably and falsely implicates Ukraine and the collective west with the attack for propaganda purposes.

What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2024)
Jingthing replied to Rimmer's topic in Entertainment
"History" as entertainment. Americans anyway will know at least a little about the assassination of savior of the Union Abraham Lincoln and his assassin John Wilkes Booth the actor while attending Our American Cousin at Ford's Theater. But there is so much more to the story. I think this one is well worth a watch but you will be asking yourself just how historically accurate is it? How Accurate Is 'Manhunt'? The True Story Of Abraham Lincoln's Assassination (variety.com) SPOILER ALERT: This article discusses plot twists from the premiere episode of “Manhunt.” The assassination of Abraham Lincoln was one of the biggest turning points in American history, and the new Apple TV+ series “Manhunt” examines the behind-the-scenes drama of a wartime government thrown into further chaos. Edwin Stanton (Tobias Menzies) leads the series as Lincoln’s close confidant and secretary of war, who goes on a mission to track down John Wilkes Booth (Anthony Boyle) after he shoots President Lincoln (Hamish Linklater). The seven-episode series is based on executive producer James L. Swanson’s nonfiction book “Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln’s Killer,” and episodes will be released weekly after the first two debuted on March 15. -

Isn't fish sauce which is in the majority of Thai dishes made from fermented fish? I like the very yellow southern Thai curry with chunks of fish and sour bamboo shoots? -

Sorry user error on that 100 baht delivery issue. That was for express delivery. I just forgot to select a free delivery time. So that still works for free delivery for orders over 900. So I had it all ready to go but when I clicked the final order placing button nothing happened and no error message either. Turns out that was related to a One Card linkage process that I hadn't done yet. So I just turned that off for now, and the order went though. Of course who knows if they will actually process the order as usual as customer service didn't seem to be encouraging anyone to even try to place orders before Saturday.
