POTY has been discontinued as it was found by leading experts in the field (nine out of ten proctologists concur) to have no socially redeeming value whatsoever.

Queers for Palestine is apparently a thing
Jingthing replied to Jingthing's topic in Gay People in Thailand
I don’t think the bug chasing analogy really works. We could into what motivated bug chasing but it's way off topic. -

Unfortunately, not a joke. “Queers for Palestine” must have a death wish (telegraph.co.uk) When I first heard the phrase “Queers for Palestine”, I assumed it was a joke, a meme dreamt up by some Right-wing wag on Reddit. There is surely no way actual gay people would cheer on a state infamous for its loathing of homosexuals. For all their zaniness, surely not even purple-haired, post-gender activists would take to the streets, Pride flag in hand, to champion a country that would jail them, if they’re lucky, and bump them off if they’re not. -
Nothing works with Israel demonizers.

Exactly. What matters now is what Hamas is now. It's not as if Netanyahu hoped or expected Hamas to become what it is now.

So you're saying Izzie is established slang in some regions? Please expand.

Oh lordy, what's with this Izzie schtick? I get what you mean, but is that really a thing anywhere but with you? In any case I think to really be an Izzie you've gotta have a proper Jewfro. (Frizzy Izzie.)

Absolutely no problem! Jomtien. I have gotten that demand previously. I complied the first time. Then repeatedly did not. There are no consequences for ignoring it. But you must be in compliance with the bank balance rules to be shown during the next extension. Compliance with those rules and that three month report demand are not the same thing. Also some people confuse this with the 90 day address report which you must do and has nothing to do with the bank balance report (which can be ignored). I did do a recent extension. This time -- no demand letter. I would have ignored it anyway.

Barbarism? In the case of Queers for Palestine perhaps extreme stupidity is more apt. The Left can no longer hide the barbarism of its anti-Semitic worldview (telegraph.co.uk) -

Thai HIV patient admits having one-night stands with many men
Jingthing replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Most men that go with LBs are straight, but I get the point as far as risk factors. Mainstream gay men (who don't go for LBs) are definitely are quite aware of risks. -

Assume that every casual sex partner may well be positive and many a non-casual one as well. Especially prostitutes as if I even have to say that. Then take responsibility for protecting yourself. Nothing short of celibacy is fully risk free. End of. -

I'll give my subjective impression. It's obviously impossible to precisely quantify this sort of thing. Definitions of left and far left are not precise things. You can only generalize. So here goes. It is my subjective impression that siding with Palestinians over Israel has evolved into a sort of acid test for western progressives, far leftists or whatever label you prefer. This includes buying into the full package of Israel demonization such as Colonialism Apartheid state Terrorist state Occupation state Jews viewed as all white oppressors over persecuted people of color Israel should have never existed Israel should commit suicide now as they're not legitimate Exaggeration of Israel's territorial ambitions Blindness about all the good aspects of Israel that compare favorably to every other country in the region / Muslim country, etc. In the context of this topic, freedom for LGBTQ people not to be murdered. Which has come to mean progressive Jews who have more moderate views such as opposed to west bank settlements and Netanyahu but in support of the continued existence of Israel as a state with a Jewlish majority with a right to defend itself are not accepted, are rejected, are even subject to antisemitic hate crimes from the left. This is a shame on many levels especially considering the vital importance of Jewish people in historic progressive movements. -

Of course. Very advanced. World class health care. Choice of climates. Beautiful beaches. Good Chinese food in the city. Out of the hurricane strike zone. Major finance hub. -

I was going to say the French but was curious to see if they were mentioned already. I kind of like the French but they seem to hate everyone including themselves. I visited one time backpacking at 15 and vowed never to go back and I haven't and won't. I don't even want to change planes at De Gualle airport. I spoke beginner's French and was universally met with derision and disdain just for making the effort in bad French. I still respect French culture but at a distance please. Montrealers are much nicer. -
OK, now I have an update to my update. As previously mentioned, the Jomtien TM30 desk told me that because I own my condo and live in it, I am NOT required to file a new TM30 when reentering Thailand and coming back to the same owner occupied condo. But I still wondered if the retirement desk agrees with that. I asked. I was told that they do.
