No!!! That would be foster care. Adoption is final. -

Or don't retire to Thailand in the first place. There are many other options. -

I used to buy the Royal Project ones a lot. I don't understand why they lack the real deal flavor and heat though. Buying in the US they have the flavor but the heat is surprisingly inconsistent. Always there but occasionally wowza Katie bar the door.

Your opinion on that noted ad nauseum. So in your opinion a ten year old with severe aspergers is better institutionalized or in foster care football than adopted by a loving gay couple? -
The best country for expats to relocate to has been named
Jingthing replied to ezzra's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
It wouldn't likely be relevant to you. The sound of European Portuguese annoys me greatly. Similar to how I feel about Vietnamese and German. I like Spain and have visited numerous times. However a particular place there didn't call out to me as a place I'd want to live at. I don't qualify for residence in Spain so it's academic for me but if I did I'd be curious about Valencia. -

Indeed. It's amazing. But I feel it's a bit too much for most RETIRED expats. No doubt there are downsides of Mexico like everywhere else particularly many specific locations there. But I feel dismissing it entirely because of crime reflects ignorance. -

For working and business expats Mexico City is one of the most fabulous and cosmopolitan big cities in the world also offering easy connections to the US and Canada. Just live in the best neighborhoods there are use common sense. -

I wouldn't call the requirements low. More like moderate. Numerous desirable countries like Portugal and Ecuador are much lower. I don't have a complaint about the financial requirements here particularly because there is a bank method. The primary flaw here is the lack of a path to permanent residence from retirement status. -
Yeah. Not only less hot but less flavor too. I use this now: https://www.tabasco.com/hot-sauces/chipotle-sauce/

US Secretary of State cancels visit to Thailand over COVID-19 concerns
Jingthing replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Even though this is not a good look for the U.S. (what else is new?) it was much better to cancel than risk being among the Patient Zeros for importing Omicron to Thailand. -

I wish more people believed that tripe because it would decrease expat housing demand in desirable places like Puerto Vallarta and San Miguel de Allende. To me the worst thing about Mexico now is that it has gotten too expensive and too many people moving from cities in the U.S. that think 1000 dollars a month rent is cheap. -
Any MGTOW "red pill" bros in here?

Incels are not a gay thing at all. Never heard of a gay incel. These are men that can't get laid by women. Gay men that can't get laid by men don't have a special club. -

When I talk about retired expats, I'm talking about people that move to a country initially and specifically to retire. Most countries don't allow that. Taiwan is in the most category. Of course many countries have other paths like marriage and become a resident other ways, then retiring. -

I don't recall if this was mentioned already, but I'm loving Swedish BEARTOWN. I'm not even a hockey fan either. -

Yeah we need more apps like that like a hole in the head. Lipstick on a pig controller app for other annoying onerous apps, it sounds like. If and when they ever want a reasonable volume of tourism then it's time to eliminate apps, not add more of them. Maybe ONE app, deeply pared down, and associated entry requirements also deeply pared down. No predictions on how many years until that might happen. Look at Colombia for an example. They're already there. -

Yeah, the list is about expats in general probably skewed towards working expats, not retired expats specifically. Retirement in Taiwan? No visa for that. Vietnam, also no visa for that. . -

I could have told y'all that without any report. It's freakin' obvious. -

This topic is about marriage equality specifically. Boys in dresses is something else. Can you say you're not sure about Adam and Steve? Dude, you just said it. So you can say it but it does make you sound like an ossified fuddy duddy. My suggestion to you and everyone else that opposes gay marriage is simple. Don't get gay married. -

No. If a child has been legally adopted the child then has parents with the exact same legal parental rights as any other parents.
