  1. Yes, but apparently, a plurality of voters (49.9% the last I saw) either didn't think about that, didn't care, or actually support that.
  2. As do all of Trump's other suggested appointments...
  3. After Trump's election as president, does this surprise anyone? Everyone should be prepared to see things like this and worse during the next four years.
  4. Too late! My fellow citizens have either been conned of actually have the same values Trump has. We'll (USA) will have to suffer through his presidency. Hopefully, there will be something left four years from now from which we (USA) can rebuild our government, economy, and country.
  5. Hopefully, there will not be an "Exodus' of left-wing voices. I know mine will not go away. Trump's administration will start deteriorating in a couple of years, and most of those who voted for Trump will start realizing what a poor choice they made. Then, hopefully, the left-wing voices will still be here and offer a way out of the devastation Trump and his cronies have caused. .
  6. I think appointing anti-Semitic cabinet members is very disappointing, but nothing I didn't expect from Trump.
  7. Sadly, I know how she feels....
  8. Trump and Musk are two despicables who will soon prove utterly destructive to our country (USA).
  9. I must be among the 31%. I trust CNN, but certainly not Fox. Also, in thinking about all these surveys, remember that Trump won the general election vote by about 52% to 47%, so it certainly appears the majority of at least the voting public in the USA can't be trusted to make rational decisions either.
  10. I primarily watch CNN, and it doesn't seem "in shambles" to me.
  11. There are no forms of energy that we harvest from any source that does not harm the environment. All technology harms the environment.
  12. You're correct, except the ergs out /ergs in always show a net "loss" of ergs. These ergs are called "lost' because they are unusable by humans and are called "pollution." Most of them are egrs in the form of heat.
  13. There is no such thing as "renewable" or "green" energy. Those are just marketing terms. All technology, especially "energy-creating" technology, pollutes and costs more energy than it ever makes available for human use. No technology "creates" energy; it just harvests existing energy from one source, usually converts it, and then makes it available for human use in another source. Good examples of these are both solar and wind-powered energy technologies.
  14. Trump's presidency will affect me because virtually EVERYTHING he stands for is against my values. But more disappointing than that is knowing that over half of the voting public in my home country was either so dumb they were conned by his lies or, worse yet, actually have the same agenda he does. I am deeply saddened right now.
  15. I suggest you put the divorce on hold and extend your marriage until you can get some other type of visa... 😉
  16. Strike three! Democracy and any hope of a sane government are now out...
  17. Why? Because he is and will continue to throughout his presidency and in his personal life. He's a convicted felon, after all. What do you expect?
  18. I wish there were some truth to these conspiracy theories, but I don't believe any of them. If I did, it would be because I would welcome them NOT to overturn Trump's election but to restore some vestige of faith in my fellow US citizens that the majority of them would NEVER vote for someone like Trump.
  19. Well, technically, we have about 70 days left, but I'm sure Trump will be in the headlines every day between then and now - much to my disappointment.
  20. He's going to be a disaster for the USA, IMO. But that's evidently what the majority of the voters want. I'm very, very disappointed in his election.
  21. This sounds like a gender/trans-related extension of all titles, male and female, similar to the change in the use of Mrs. or Miss on the names of females in the 1980s. The preferred "marriage-neutral" title for females is now "Ms."
  22. I retired in Thailand about 14 years ago after living in Thailand and being married to a Thai wife for about six years before that.
  23. I've lived in Thailand for over 20 years and do part-time work on my PC. I also live outside of Bangkok, up in northeastern Thailand. I've always found many Thais that do excellent work on computers. Many speak English very well. I'm just posting this in case you can't find a technician like you want, and suggest you try some Thais.
