Long-term, heavy THC use can have several potential side effects, affecting both mental and physical health. It's important to note that research is ongoing, and the extent and permanence of some of these effects are still being studied. Here's a breakdown of the potential long-term side effects of THC use: Cognitive Effects: Impaired Memory and Learning: Chronic heavy use, especially when started in adolescence, may lead to difficulties with memory, learning, and attention. Some studies suggest these effects may persist even after stopping use, particularly if use began during brain development (before age 25). Lowered IQ: Some research has linked heavy cannabis use starting in adolescence with a decline in IQ. However, other studies have not found this connection, and it's a subject of ongoing debate. Impaired Thinking and Decision-Making: Long-term use can affect the ability to think clearly, make sound judgments, and solve problems. Reduced Concentration and Attention Span: Chronic users may experience difficulties focusing and maintaining attention. Mental Health Effects: Increased Risk of Mental Health Disorders: Long-term, heavy use is associated with an increased risk of developing or worsening certain mental health conditions, including: Psychosis and Schizophrenia: Cannabis use, particularly high-potency products and use starting at a young age, can increase the risk of psychotic episodes and may contribute to the development of schizophrenia in vulnerable individuals (those with a genetic predisposition). It can also worsen symptoms in those already diagnosed. Anxiety and Depression: Some studies have linked chronic cannabis use with an increased risk of anxiety and depression. Suicidal Thoughts and Behaviors: An association has been found between cannabis use and suicidal ideation, particularly among adolescents and military veterans. Good that you asked, a lot of tourists and even long time expats don't take the time to understand Thai Culture and act appropriately when in country. There are quite a few things about Thai culture, that once understood, can make a visit and long term stay quite a lot more enjoyable. Thai people are generally quite modest when it comes to nudity. Aside from the odd stripper and Tik Tok girl, most all Thai women would never even where a bikini on a beach here let alone go topless. Go to Pattaya or Jomtien beaches on the weekend and there are loads of Thais. Observe: Most all the women and girls where full t-shirts and regular shorts in the water. They don't even wear one piece bathing suites. Compare that to the Russians women, some of the large and rolly pollys wear bikinis LOL! it's a site you cannot un-see!

British Expat Finds Bliss in Thai Paradise, Won’t Return Home
StandardIssue replied to webfact's topic in Koh Samui News
You've missed my point. How long will it last? Show me somebody who has had a long and steady career as a Youtube influencer/blogger etc.. Here's my prediction -- she will: 1) Run out of material for her channel 2) find ever increasing competition from others that see her videos and want to do the exact same thing. 3) will probably not invest the money and even if she did, by some miracle, she was able to bank and invest $3k USD a month for 10 years, that's still not that much money! She will go back to blightly with NO CAREER skills except for "influencer" or Youtube blogger. How does that look on a CV these days. Now, digital nomads that are expert programmers, web front end designers, IT professionals (like myself) who actually make real money have a better chance. THIS ALL MAY BE AN APRIL FOOLS PRANK POST ANYWAY from Tiger -
British Expat Finds Bliss in Thai Paradise, Won’t Return Home

Let's see where she is in 10 years. In my experience Thailand is a trap for those who arrive early in life with the dream of making a career here. It's possible, don't get me wrong, but certainly a career as an influencer on Youtube cannot be anything that will last unless one is very lucky ... rock star lucky. What I have seen happen time and time again are guys who show up as young men (30's). Have stayed for several years on earnings that give them a living here (no way in the west), with a job, like English teacher and stayed for years later to find in their 50's that they have absolutely NO RETIREMENT prospects whatsoever. No pension, no 401k fund, no means of support in old age.- 126 replies

Nothing is wrong with you. Myself sfter spending 12 years in Thailand I felt the same if I frequented these places of debauchery, like Soi 6. If you expose yourself to these places that are setup to take advantage of tourists by exploiting poor women you're gonna feel the evil that lurks there. You are normal. Hold it together, go by the Pattaya Orphanage and donate some money. Go to the Father Ray Foundation on Sukumvit Road and donate some money to the poor there. It can uplift your heart.

Dr. Sunchapop Pufinjai of the Thai Ministry of Health is currently campaigning for new legislation requiring all tourists be required to obtain licenses and health certification to use Marijuana and all cannabis products by 2026. He has stated that the number of tourists reporting to Thai hospitals with cannabis related health problems has been on the rise since the legalization of it's sale and use and has cost the Thai people upwards of millions of Thai Baht offsetting any potentional benefit to the Thai general public.

The left wants to destroy the Greatest country on Earth.
StandardIssue replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
This guy will not destroy the USA but certainly make it NOT GREAT for awhile. Anybody who believes he has their best interest at heart has been fooled like a moth to a flame. They bought the Fox New / News Max and all the so called conservative "truth" hook line and sinker and believe they voted for someone who is going to help them.. what a load of horse s#!t -
How did the OP come up with this conclusion? It'd be good to see some stats, although I would wager it would be extremely difficult to get accurate statistics on such a thing. While I am not a fan of Trump at all, being reasonable would be appropriate. I would hope that, even the many slow thinking Trump supporters would wake up if they get kicked in the crotch enough and admit the guy is NOT taking actions in their best interest.

Either a Troll ...or another case of why not to post while flying high on the wacky weed and Jello shots. Whoa! -
Conduct your own due diligence. This thread is asking will you buy or not. Not here to prove to someone (who may be in the BKK real estate business) what is obvious. Nobody here has to prove anything to you. I know one thing. I won't be buying any condos in BKK without knowing that the building has been thoroughly evaluated for structural soundness by a qualified engineer. And given the scope of work that will need to be done, it is doubtful, that inspections in BKK will be done by actually qualified personnel. TIT

Poll -- Should Hegseth Resign or Be Fired?
StandardIssue replied to Jingthing's topic in Political Soapbox
He's very good as the lead in the clown circus. If you look closely he's the one driving the clown car that goes up in flames as the finale! Of course he's responsible for the lead in the Signal mishap. He's the ferkin' US Nation SECURITY advisor for cry'n out loud! He's the guy that should be spearing heading security measures in all facets including COMMUNICATION security. He's just another of Trumps mopes and a total failure. With all due respect how anyone can say he's doing a good job so far is laughable and based on no evidence. -
Who actually, with any reliability and confidence, could assess all Bangkok high rise buildings for structural soundness in two/three days? If you believe this is possible then I've got a bridge in ..... to sell you. It often takes weeks for civil engineers to evaluate a single entire building in the west. Part of the problem IHMO is this snap declaration that all but 6 buildings are OK according to some local institution with vested interests in not uncovering a wide spread issue.
