    It occurs in the Philippines as well. I've known locals there to take out big loans just to get into 'office'. Even going to the extent of giving donations to voters outside the polling stations! It's a real bugger if they still don't get in. They spend the rest of their life paying off the loan.

    Yep I've heard this so often it's not funny. Seldom does the 'storm' come to anything. Even accuweather is fairly useless. One forecast had 90% chance of rain... we were in the remaining 10%. Sticking your head out of a window is a better way of predicting what the weather is doing!

    Well we know what happens, some outfit is making a good living by currently providing a reasonable service. Thai authorities can't have that. So let's jump onto the band wagon and undercut the current provider. We will probably run at a loss but thats ok, because so will the competitor. In the end both entities fold. And the customers have to find other forms of transportation... mini (killer) bus anyone?

    Geezus, just goes to show the damage caused two moving vehicles coming to a sudden stop. Enough to knock your fillings outta your teeth. Nasty result, I feel for those on the recovery path... It's gonna take time.

    My Mrs had 27 cats at one stage, when we were living in Mae Rim. I wasn't impressed as I'm more of a dog person. However things eased a bit when they contracted the cat flu virus. End of the day no cats (Virus cleared them out) but we adopted 2 dogs.
