  1. I must admit to not have bothered to read all the bickering so I may have missed something in this thread, but might this be virtually nothing to do with politics (rightist, leftist, racist or communist) and more to do with a business deal? Lots of minerals in Ukraine apparently, and Trump & Putin are carving up the spoils? No evidence, just my guess.
  2. If he gets put up by the Reps, and the Dems fail to put up anyone decent this time, then he might be right?
  3. I think I'd be surprised if they accepted it...
  4. Amongst all the craziness in the world right now, here's some good news, albeit with a sad ending. RIP James Harrison. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c5y4xqe60gyo
  5. Wonder what those additional costs were...
  6. Absolutely. And about a hundred other basic things to make people safer on the roads, e.g. traffic law enforcement, maintenance standards, corruption and basic driver training so they can handle down hill stretches of road.
  7. Something smells a bit off in this story. And it's not just the milk.
  8. My confidence levels in this or in anyone involved in this is about as high as my confidence in Man Utd winning the Premier League any time soon. The culture and direction of pretty much every organisation comes from the very top of that organisation. I've never come across any exceptions to that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samir_Shah
  9. A very trustworthy leader calling another trustworthy. Hmmm... 🤧🙄
  10. I read this as 600 across Hong Kong, but it isn't clear. 81k Baht is about 18k HKD. If accommodation and food is already paid for then that's more than enough to enjoy Hong Kong. Domestic helpers get about 5k per month, and most of them get out and enjoy themselves on their day off, whilst sending a decent amount of their salary back home to their family.
  11. All those people shuffling between those racks will most likely bust all the networks anyhow 😆
  12. Any high-voltage power cables just about the statue? Maybe they're just fibre cables...Any high-voltage power cables just about the statue? Maybe they're just fibre cables...
  13. I kind of hope it really was a success. Maybe I'll wait for 6 months to a year, then look back to see if it was or not.
  14. My guess is he couldn't count and didn't want a mistake because of this to be docked from his pay. Shame on the petrol station owner for hiring someone not capable of doing the job.
  15. London Gatwick's single runway can do 55 per hour. Great step forward, but still some way to go. Digital Towers and Multilateration systems are just 2 of the many systems and safety tools that are useful. Again, a great step forward, but still some way to go.
  16. Yeah, good example. I'm sure we could each quote dozens of broken promises, lies or partial lies across parties of all colours. For balance, I'm sure we could both quote good stuff each party has done too. But I'm fed up with all of them.
  17. I guess next time more people need get out and vote for the FPO so they get over 50% and the other parties then can't do what they've done this time. Tough tollies, the FPO needs to build a bridge and get over it. Österreich has its own constitutional electoral system and the voters have spoken. Unlucky FPO.
  18. Ooh! Can its name be changed to the Gulf of Canada? 😂
  19. Jeez! The mask was ugly!! The face must be really bad!! 🤪 In my memory, every prospective government has lied to get it, then backtracked on most things when they have got in. Or maybe they just saw reality under the hood when they got access to the real facts that the previous lot left behind. Maybe a mixture. I've got no political allegiance in the UK, they are all 💩. It's just the depth that varies.
  20. Didn't Trump cases go through Grand Juries too? They were politically motivated too apparently? Lacessit got it right above. Nero fiddling. Judging with what DOGE is finding, it's not just Nero who has been fiddling.
  21. Yeah. Everyone, no matter who they are, should face the consequences if they break the law.
  22. I'm sure Trump has a few members of staff helping him. I'm sure Trump doesn't do everything himself, and different departments are dealing with Ukraine and Jack Smith. But it is a waste of time & money nevertheless.
  23. I'm all for frivolous court cases and law suits to be jumped upon, with those bringing them made to pay all costs associated with them. I'm assuming this Jack Smith case comes under this banner. Same goes for any politically motivated case.
  24. Wow. Economic numbers that many farang countries can only dream about. Looking at the G7 stats sleepy Joe was the best of a terrible bunch too. https://www.oecd.org/en/data/insights/statistical-releases/2025/02/gdp-growth-fourth-quarter-2024-oecd.html
  25. Well done to the RTP. Plenty more fish to catch of course, maybe the next ones will be called Ford, Chevvy or BMW?
