Thailand Holds Off on 30-Day Visa-Free Change Decision
black tabby12345 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The longer they stay, often started to spend lesser. It is often the visitors(staying here very short period). who tend to spend more. Due to their ignorance of local prices, and holidaymakers' psychology. -

Hi, thank you for your post. Looks like a bit of misunderstanding here. Yes, as you point out, I went to the walk-up window for 90-day report, straight away(without stopping anywhere else). This time, I could do both 90-day report and visa extension on One Same Day(as the dates coincided in the convenient way). I went to the 90-day report, while on the que of the document inspection(for Retirement O extension). I wonder if all sounds clear now?

Yakuza, it actually means "Good For Nothing/Useless As*hole" in their language. Salute to the successful joint operation by Japan' foreign department, and Thai police. The only thing I pity, they will be immediately deported to face lukewarm justice out there, instead of suffering much in the hellish Thai stockade...

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, I am posting to share what I recently noticed at Chiang Mai immigration(near airport). It is about 90-day report, and Retirement O extension. 90 day report: On their receipt of notification of report(what they issue to each foreigner), they now add the Expiry Date of our current Stay Permit, at the Left Bottom. Before(reported on Dec.27, 2024) Now(reported on Mar.21,2025) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Retirement O extension: Now need to attach the photocopy of the most recent receipt of 90-day report. That advice came from the document inspection desk. I have never been requested to do so, previously though. But, no real problems, as they have a photocopy shop behind the 90-day report window; 2 baht for one copy. You can get it copied at that place, and add to your batch of documents needed. Other than that, no changes to the types of the papers you need to prepare for your extension. Thank you for your attention, and, have a good day.

Bangkok Grapples with Alarming Air Pollution Levels
black tabby12345 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Bangkok Grapples with Alarming Air Pollution Levels Mostly thanks to 2 of the Pheu Thai Premiers after 2000. Thaksin and Yingluck(his sister) Shinawatra, both introduced the policy encouraging even low income people to buy cars. Because of what they did, BKK's air quality worsened again (temporally bettered after the completion of the BTS). As well as more and more people went into the debt they struggle to repay. -

Hi, thank you for sharing your personal experience. On the flying plane, it is even more dangerous, isn't it? Can be quite fatal if some drunk idiot damages the structure of the aircraft during the flight(e.g. breaking cabin window, or attempting to break into the cockpit). Even though many airliners of the world secretly place at least one Sky Marshal on their flight(allowed to shoot the aggressor in some cases to prevent the worst. As well as the stewards/stewardesses are said to be trained to physically control and suppress the violent on board.
