  1. Regarding Thai kick boxing, it didn't start as the sport in the first place. Created as the Art of Killing for warzone combat. As Thailand has had the long history of territorial disputes with the neighboring countries(e.g. Burma) in old time.
  2. If it is about the fake medicine, their charge may not be as serious as the illegal narcotics. But whatever they are prosecuted for in such a case, the same hellish state of their prison. That is one thing pretty sure about...
  3. Online 90-day report. It never worked with me either, for the unknown reasons. Thailand's Digital Farce; lacking versatility(no constant same results whoever used it).
  4. Their digital failure. Similar expected in case of their Newly Introduced Online(paperless) Arrival Card, they say they will start to use in this May. Thai bureaucrats is often incapable of maintaining their online service.
  5. They seem to be rather "lucky". As they don't have to go to Thai jail.
  6. Are they likely to be promptly deported, instead of prosecuted and jailed here?
  7. Regarding Burmese, they are often Thai Yai(AKA Shan people). My apartment's landlord used to hire some of these people as janitors, more than 15 years ago.
  8. Xanax: Often used to relieve depression and anxiety.
  9. Yesterday, I looked for any support movement(sending donation to the remaining family members of the construction workers killed by the fallen building). I tried both in English and Thai(using google translate). But couldn't find any. Those people working at the construction sites, are often migrant workers(from the Isaan region of this kingdom). Due to the lack of employment opportunities back home, they are forced to come to bigger cities like BKK. Fast and shiny BTS and subway trains in the capital of this kingdom, all built by the hard work of such people(I have seen BTS under construction, during my first visit to Thailand in 98). They are mass of the nameless heroes of the nations while they are not treated well.
  10. Just like the time of typhoon back in 08. That dictator rejected all of the aid offers(other than from the ASEAN member states). Groundlessly possessed with the fear(the free world might invade their country taking advantage of the chaos). At that time, part of the US 7th fleet was standing by, near the Andaman Sea, with the sufficient readiness of immediate rescue activities(if requested). They must have made quite a positive difference(if involved in the relief mission). A lot more than poorly equipped ASEAN nations' rescue teams(whose level of readiness is quite low).
  11. I presume survival chance of those who were inside at the time of quake, is extremely slim. Judging from the way that half-built skyscraper crumbled. Very sad indeed while I still pray for some miracles...
  12. They say it will come into effect in less than 2 months time. Still, no clear explanation(not even what website to look at to do it) from any sources. And it is said to involve both govt and private sectors (including airlines, travel agents, and accommodations), according some law firm's Youtube video on this topic. So what will ever happen to the people who couldn't lodge that new paperless arrival card in time? Unable to buy their ticket to depart? Denied boarding at the port of their departure? The worst, most immediate victims: Travelers/expats planning to visit/return to this kingdom around May this year. Absolutely unsure what to do, even unable to book their airline seats. I felt truly lucky that I have been here already, and having no intention of travel abroad this year. Another example of the harm caused by the inept bureaucrats full of Empty Pride. Too eager to jump on something new while often lacking capability to handle it correctly.
  13. "New paperless digital arrival card". Looks like ending up as another mess maker. Will there be a mass deportation of the Just Arrived(who couldn't properly fill out the New Card online)?
  14. I, too, predict in the same way. Will soon fu*k up, and then, Thai bureaucrats realize they were only help creating needless mess. By introducing something they cannot maintain/handle. Their digital failure is already demonstrated by online 90 day report. Works on someone. But doesn't work on someone else. And it never worked on me. And they cannot even pinpoint why it doesn't work. Does Thailand turn away those who couldn't lodge their new paperless arrival card?
  15. Nice one. The most out of place phrase when you talk about the disaster which killed hundreds of the innocent. It is nothing like a happy event.
  16. Not my issue. As I don’t go to these places out of vanity, in the first place. As simple as that...
  17. Ignorance? She started to sell that shirt as she knows what is going on, what Ruscists are doing to Ukraine. And promoting that merchandise is her way of fighting against it. I call her Brave, not Ignorance. It would certainly make Ruscists uncomfortable though. Ruscists=Russ military expansionists(pro-invasion soldiers/civilians)
  18. You are absolutely right. These invasive "tourists" shouldn't be here. Deserves to be kicked out.
  19. Another Orc invasion to BKK garment shop, next to Ukraine. But met evenly counterattack and struggling LOL.
  20. I have this about 10 years ago at the night bazar in Thailand.
  21. That's right. None of the 3rd party business.
  22. foreign tourists demanding she stop selling shirts featuring Russian President Vladimir Putin and Adolf Hitler. Which foreigners are complaining about it? Can easily imagine who do that though. Must be Ruscists(Rus military expansionists; pro invasion soldiers/civilians), and some Pro-Xi Jing Ping Chinese. Ruscism - Wikipedia Russians with conscience and the sense of justice, won't do that, as they well know it is shameful to wage war for territorial gain.
  23. shirts featuring Russian President Vladimir Putin and Adolf Hitler. Very appropriate indeed. She better be keep going as it is. As that's what that SO* is like; started reverse Operation Barbarossa, this time from the east.
  24. Absurdly overpriced. Perfect example of the Tourist Rip Off. The estimate of original cost: Mango, 20-30B/kg. Stick rice, 30B(or so)/kg. Plus cost of electricity: 6-8B/hour. *Price quotes from the local market I frequent in Chiang Mai (e.g Muang Mai, or Chiang Mai Gate). Vendors usually buy their fruit and vegetables at these markets or discount store like Makro. They are highly unlikely to get them from Tops(where fresh produces are quite expensive). And in Chiang Mai, even the food stalls in touristy area won't charge that much. In case of Mango Sticky Rice, at most at B50. Even though the price of the eats at Champuak Gate night bazar skyrocketed after C/virus scare. They used to be at local price before that. So I never go there again, unlike yesteryears.
