Has Thailand Caught Up with the 21st Century?
black tabby12345 replied to SoCal1990's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Hi, again, Thank you for sharing your experience. While you were in hospital bed, which kind of meal was provided? Can you request specific type of meal(Thai, Chinese, or Western)? Or it is set by the hospital reflecting on your medical condition? -
Hi, I have never believed their whole movement from the beginning. If they really value human lives, they would say Everyone's Life Matters. But they were only single outing One Color instead. That was my first impression and what felt odd. All they wanted is, not the Equality. But the Privilege(of the few among them) above other colors and ethnicities. So disgusting, even tricking the people of their kind.

Hi thank you for your comment. Their price was also very reasonable. With all the check ups and treatments, costed me only THB600 on that day. -
Has Thailand Caught Up with the 21st Century?

It depends on the field. In case of the public hospital's ER(emergency room), it looks like pretty much like in the state of the 21st century. Their triage is fast and efficient. And they can handle foreign patients very smoothly; no language barrier as everyone(doctors, nurses, and clerks) there have sound understanding of the English language. So the sick/wounded doesn't be expert in Thai language. According to my experience 2 years ago, when I fell ill on New Year's Eve. -
Have you been scammed/overcharged at 7-11?
black tabby12345 replied to JoseThailand's topic in General Topics
Not in my experience. I don't buy stuff at that shop very often. But I remember a few occasions where their barcoded price is not the same as the shelf price(@Tesco Lotus). When I report it to the Customer Service people, they usually correct it. -

I have met quite a number of attempted dog attacks in the past. Even in the temple yard. That is why I always carry this with me when I am out and about... -
Banged up: Thai prison nightmare exposed by British tourist

Thank you for your correction. Immigration offence is one thing. Common Crime is another. Big difference: Immigration rule violation alone, makes no real victims. While the latter(usually/often) does. -

Can you allow me some question. More than 2 decades ago, I have read a book written by the ex-convicts(did his time in Hotel California; max security stockade) after his conviction as the drug case fixer in that same state(he was previously a successful businessman selling European cars). And that author said that high security prison often has the part of the area named Gun Point; at which the convicts can get shot on the spot without warning. It is said to happen when the prisoner does something violating prison rule. Have you heard of this? You seem to know well about America's correctional institution. -

Banged up: Thai prison nightmare exposed by British tourist

I certainly do. But do they always pay out 'sufficient' amount to make up for victims' losses altogether? Very much in doubt indeed. One of best friend fell a robbery/armed assault victim when he was in his 30s. He has been an honest hardworking descent man without any bad records. One day, he was savagely attacked by the thug he has never met, with the baseball bat while walking down the street near his home. And he was then half-killed. His spine badly damaged. And it took him so many years to regain his relative freedom to move again. He is now in his 70s. And still must undertake periodic check up for that. And still some awful pain from time to time. In his case, all he got from the public compensation scheme was only A$70000-. Do you really believe that is the right amount for the level of his overall losses? I don't; compared to his overall losses in his life for many decades to come. Because of that injury, he could no longer work again in his trade. And had to live on small welfare payout(so much below his previous earning). He had been previously an active man. But could not play any sports again, ever after.. Regarding the aggressor of that case, eventually arrested and convicted. But surprisingly, that robber/attempted murderer, was even allowed to write threatening letters of repeatedly to him and his mother from behind the bars. This is the Freedom of the Convicts, one like you value so much Above Victims' Human Rights. Hope none of you or someone you value will face lifelong ordeal as happened to my close friend. -

Hi, thank you for your comment. There is one Big Weak Point with them while they often might look as if Invincible. The level of their success is measured by the amount of money they manage to make in their activities. When any of their Big Budget Movies ended up as the Box Office Disaster(due to too much emphasis of the Political Correctness in its making process), they have to concede their failure/defeat. As long as the main economic driving force of the free world is the Capitalism, Money is their prime concern. So that is one of the effective ways by which mass of the seemingly powerless individuals can counter them; refusing to buy what they try to sell. They can panic. Pretty easy. Isn't it? No real grim determination to risk own ordinary daily life needed... -

That condition that man experienced in this kingdom. Honestly, bit sympathized with him if his offence is really no more than minor immigration rule violation. As he didn't victimize others(not a thief, robber, rapist, murderer, arsonists, or reckless driver/rider risked other people's life and property). While I always believe the Real Criminal(actively, intentionally victimizing the innocent) for own gain/selfish-reasons) should face realistic enough consequences... -

So what do you say to the Barbaric Act the criminal did to the innocent? People of your kind rarely(or never?) think of the victims. Only talking about the Human Rights of the Bad Guys, totally forgetting about the people was forced it unprovoked. That is the idea what I call Sick. And my view doesn't have to be the same as yours. -

The left is now more unpopular worldwide than any time since the Cold War.. The lefts declining popularity is only expected to continue... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Simply because they have done More Harm Than Good all over the 1st world in the past decade. Doing their best to destroy own society From Inside. That's the first and biggest reason behind the current change. Twisting the Normal and Abnormal awfully. Promoting the takeover of the system by the Cunning Minority; only interested in engineering the world to maximize own gain. Eventually, too many people got sick and tired of the Nonsense they force 24/7, round the clock, around the glove. One most important thing in this world: Proper Balance, AKA Happy Medium. But they have gone Too Far. Well beyond the limit people can put up with. And now, they are just facing their Own Consequences... Great to know that Ordinary People in the Free World still retained the energy and passion to pursue justice: The courage to stand up and say No to the lunacy of Peacetime Fascism by the Extreme Left. -

Mostly agree. They are there for reasons: For what they have done to others(unless sentenced guilty for the crime they didn't commit). One Imposing unfair suffering on the good people should face the same: Consequences. That is fairness. Some other countries have even more sick sociology. Absolutely pampering the convicts; Providing luxurious accommodation (business hotel like) to the mass murders. As well as the level of the freedom enjoyed by the innocent outside. -

Canadian Arrested After Chaotic Car Chase in Phuket

Mr. Jackson, who was allegedly attacked and injured during the dispute, fled the scene in a black Ford pickup truck in an attempt to evade further confrontation and the police. ----------------------------------------------- Quite puzzling. If he was really the genuine assault victim, why fled from cops as well? He was supposed to be glad to see them for help instead. It suggests he might have been doing something illicit...
