  1. So you repeated this now a few times. Would you mind and tell us when exactly this bull run was? 1year USD-THB -11.63% 1year CHF-THB +0.64% 10yrs USD-THB -3.79% 10yrs CHF-THB +14.58%
  2. I would guess too, its fungus. If so, take 70% Ethanol (not higher or lower) and clean EVERTHING that has got cotact with. Spray it, let it have contact for min. 60sec. , then clean. As it's a living organism, your dog can drag it around while walking through it. So that's not really helpfull. 70% Ethanol -> the reason is, that it has to have the 30% (distilled / boiled water) that the ethanol doesen't evaporte too quickly. So a higher percentage of Ethanol istn't better... And have all windowas and doors open when you spray! Do it stepwise - max 0.5sqm. And take a break if you fell dizzy... Tables, chairs etc - take them outside and clean them there too. Sunlight is helpfull It's really important that youre not too lazy and leave certain items or spots whithout cleaning. Try to keep the contaminated sourrounding as dry as possible. If you have an AC - set to dry mode 24hrs, during cleaning and after that for a few days, regardless of the electricity bill! And even then, the chance that it will come again ist still high. Sorry to tell you this. Side info: I worked earlier as a service engineer on lab equipment. So fungus can be a pain in the neck... Especially in an incubator where expensive cells were breeding and had to be dumped because of fungus. I had success, but an incubator isn't a kitchen or household. I wish you good luck.
  3. Not sure if still the same. At BKK Bank it was like this... You need three accepted official documents. - Certificate of Residence -> get at Immigration. - Passport with the Visa stamps etc. - Thai Drivers licence (CoR needed there too) - being registered in the yellow housebook of your wife you don't need to go through the process to make a CoR. Might be too short now, but for the future I strongly recommend it. You don't have to run every time to immigration to get a CoR. For the CoR you can find what is needed to get that. I have heard, that they don't make them quickly anymore. A few months ago you could pay a "express fee" of 500bht to get your CoR on the next day. In CNX somebody told me, that they don't do this anymore. You have to wait 4 weeks. You can also try to get some help at a visa-office. That costs money of course. But sometimes they have "connections" to make your life easier. Good luck.
  4. So I can't see any new restrictions. And the small shop around the corner out in the nowhere sells you a can Leo for 35B anytime. No difference IMHO
  5. No way. Moldova has russian speaking people too, it has to be protected by the Kremlln. And Estonia. And Latvia. And Lithuania. After that he has to protect these countries against the western influence too with a so called "buffer zone". It goes on with.... etc.pp.
  6. P.S. Costs with Viber were about the same as with Skype...
  7. I had the same problem, as with "Teams" I wasn't able to call landlines. The only options I found to call from Thailand to a landline in Europe were from my mobile to landline. I tried the apps "Yolla" and "Viber". Prepaid 10US$. The connection seemed a bit better on Viber, but that always can differ. Of course they want you to give them all your datas (contacts etc.) I refused that. So I have to type every time the number again in manually. If you or somebody else finds a better solution, let me know.
  8. Well, you thought wrong. Beer in Bavaria / Germany counts as staple food (Grundnahrunsmittel). So if you take a beer, you must also have something to drink -> second beer...
  9. I just completed this quiz. My Score 80/100 My Time 214 seconds
  10. I just completed this quiz. My Score 16/100 My Time 182 seconds
  11. Wrong title IMHO. This is something I would give this name. "Pollo Tonnato with Foccacia". Unfortunatley I don't have a shot from the chicken club sandwich my wife makes.
  12. We also have a breadmaker. Is very convenient and the result is satisfying/good. You have to experience a bit, as the recipe given in the manuals might differ to the ingrediences you get here. For Chiang Mai: Yok has a wide range of different needs. Imported ingriedences for bread-making are not really expensive, as you need only small amounts of them. Bread making has to do with try and learn - learn and try. Good luck. And stick to it. It's woth it.
  13. Good bread is the most important. And you or your wife have to make it yourselfs. The rest you can get here. Most of it of course imported, but affordable. Smoked dryed ham: TH, Coppa: TH, cheese: CH, USA, FR, salami (italian hard to get, but french and spanish products available -> chorizo is not what I mean). A soft boiled egg: TH , butter: NZ (pure, not the mixed up stuff that looks somehow like it). Jam homemade. Coffee and juice. Et voila...
  14. After real hard thinking... T.I.T. This is Thailand
  15. For high-stressed people it might be a relief. But not more. In other words - being cought in an iron trap - a toothpick won't help you to get out of it. All these individuals with burnout syndroms like the idea that they make a few sessions (of whatsoever) and go on with the pressure they have. That doesen't work on the long run. I saw this enough times around me.
  16. Every morning I say to myself - I try to do my best. And every evening I must admit - I failed. But tomorrow is a new day. Try and learn - learn and try.
  17. The Gripen has a Volvo RM12-Turbofan, prduced in Sweden... Reaktionsmotor 12 (RM12) is a low-bypass afterburning turbofan jet engine developed for the Saab JAS 39 Gripen fighter. A version of the General Electric F404, the RM12 was produced by Volvo Aero (now GKN Aerospace Engine Systems). The last of the 254 engines was produced on 24 May 2011, at which time it had reached 160,000 flight hours without any serious incidents. Just saying 🤷‍♂️
  18. I thought about russians. But as mentioned, rude people can be found everywhere.
  19. In Thailand, there is no lithium-ion battery recycling plant, therefore, the entreprenuers will export used lithium-ion batteries to foreign countries for recycling. Last remark on this homepage: https://www.entec.or.th/knowledge-batteries/
  20. Having smoking "rooms" without bothering non-smokers is technically absolutly no problem. With a underpressurized room not one tiny bit of smoke can ever leave this. In Europe as far as I experianced everywhere possible. Zurich - Switzerland for sure. On the other hand - the ventilation system has to be separated completely from the rest. As I am a strong smoker, honestly - I always survived if it took me a few hours longer without my addiction. But if there are not any other urgent problems that should be solved here in Thailand - fine with me to discuss this "issue".
  21. I personally agree with you. Anyway from a certain point on I don't react anymore -> don't feed the trolls. The just repeat themselves. Also from the same point on I don't give any reactions to them. The reason is simple. They have the feedback that their B.S. has arrived. Just my point of view how to deal with russian trolls
  22. Yes, we are happy. My better half - my wife - and my humble self are just settling now in our new location. We are both farang. That made a few things more complicated with Tessaban and Amper. Yes - happy so far.
  23. I have sent in the last 12 months amounts between 4k and 600k from Wise to BKK Bank. There was never a issue. And if I have to wait up to 24 hours - so what. I am happy with Wise. In total I have transferred over 4 million BHT from WISE to BKK Bank. No complaints at all.
  24. Yep. So this thread will fade away until sombody else opens the same discussion again- So we all are allowed to read the same russian propaganda again. Thats how it works. Everywhere. Propaganda techniques -> Wikipedia Interesting if you have the time and want to know more about this. Ad nauseam This uses tireless repetition of an idea. An idea, especially a simple slogan, that is repeated enough times, may begin to be taken as the truth. This approach is more effective alongside the propagandist limiting or controlling the media.
  25. Lots of letters rowed in lines and most of it is of whataboutism. Lets keep it simple. In your oppinion - and that is clear russian propaganda - the bully (russia) has all the rights to take what he wants to because he has nuclear weapons. And the rest of the world shall nod their heads and say - sure go and take it. Thats not how it works. But you will find out that the ideas of Putin will not have success. Even all of his bots try to hammer it into the heads by repeating the same bulls excrement again and again. Worldwide in many threads. I just have to repeat myself -> boring.
