  1. A 300 baht system sounds the same as a 2000 baht system @NoshowJones? Righty o... It has two 2" speakers within. I don't think they'll be pushing any amount of air 😊 Imagine someone kicking a bass drum and the amount of air that produces....and then imagine those tiny two inch speakers. Better than nothing I suppose.
  2. @GammaGlobulin " ...as you continue to tell me"? What fresh nonsense is this? When did this conversation take place? I think it extremely unlikely, since I studiously ignore anything that you post. I only need to see the username... What do you know about the medicinal effects of cannabis? Anything at all...or just more waffle from a talking head?
  3. I don't go to bars either @GammaGlobulin. This happened on a beach and in a restaurant. There were also bars etc and whilst there I made friends with some policemen from the Narcotics Suppression unit who were also taking some time out, self medicating. You are simply living inside your head, with little or no outside stimulus; namely, reality. Outside of your meaningless rambling, if you actually understood how cannabis works, you might understand that it helps you to use your mind in the way nature intended. It was useful for me when I had what seemed to be a shoulder and neck injury. Helped me to understand it and to solve it. Why don't you stop posting nonsense when you obviously don't have even the slightest clue about what is being discussed?
  4. @GammaGlobulin One of my clearest memories of when I visited the islands in the early nineties, were vendors offering me weed...for free. Simply sharing it or as a bonus for spending over a certain amount in their restaurant or bar. You clearly don't have a clue as to what happens in the real world outside your little bubble. I was surprised, when flowers were legalised, at the people who would be chatting to vendors about their products. People who you might not have imagined that would use cannabis. It's a medicine for many and you don't have a clue as to what you are writing about, as per usual.

  6. @chilly07 You seem to have got a few things mixed up. TRUE merged with DTAC, as opposed to AIS and there is no need to switch carriers in order to get the service via AIS. I've made a post here with what you need to do to get the service via AIS. The price is either 199 baht per month or 1999 baht per annum. Plus 50 baht for an AIS SIM needed to register initially.

  8. @garygooner If you have an Android TV/Amazon Fire Stick/Android Box with Widevine Level 1/AIS Playbox...you can view directly via the TV. The only caveat is one device at a time. I guess once you subscribe they send you sign in details for the website and/or application @Pumpuynarak You only need to put the AIS SIM in the phone for as long as it takes to subscribe to the service. Then you can just take it out and replace it with your usual DTAC SIM. If you have a mobile phone that takes e-SIM, take the 50 baht SIM that you purchased via Lazada to the AIS service centre to register it and request they convert it to e-SIM. Then you can more easily swap for DTAC to AIS if and when, without needing to physically remove either. If you try to obtain a SIM or eSIM from the service centre, they may try to insist that you buy an unwanted package. So grab the SIM via Lazada and then take it to the service centre for registration and topping up. Get them to do it in 10% increments, in order to extend the validity date.
  9. @Pumpuynarak Rather than paying 2999 baht annually or 299 baht monthly, go the AIS route, at 1999 baht and 199 baht respectively. That way you won't need to use your bank card either, as you can just top up the AIS SIM. Method: Obtain and register an AIS Prepaid SIM: https://www.lazada.co.th/products/pdp-i1487422386.html Top up with required amount; 2000 baht for annual. Best to do it in increments of 200 baht at a time, in order to push the validity date out to eleven months in the future. Tap in *899*1# on the mobile phone, then to hit the Call key. If you prefer to do it monthly, in order to evaluate the service, then just top up 200 baht( 10 x 20 baht to extend validity). Tap in *899*9# on the mobile phone, then to hit the Call key. Alternatively, you can top up the AIS SIM and chose to click through(or copy and paste) the below links via your mobile phone: https://www.ais.th/consumers/entertainment/sport/premier-league https://m.ais.co.th/PLmweb (Monthly) https://m.ais.co.th/PLyweb (Annual)
  10. @Airalee The Edifier M4 looks good on paper, certainly a decent choice for someone who listens using high quality music sources. The main caveat being the price being closer to 3000 baht (a link to your 2200 baht new price might have be helpful) and the lack of a low end response. I guess it will roll off around 150 Hz. A good and relatively accurate, if slightly bright sound. But missing a low end.
  11. The budget is 2000 baht. I already pointed out that the system to which I linked is also available via PowerBuy for 2000 baht. Thank you for your attention @Peter Crow Enjoy your expensive sound system. You must be so proud.
  12. I do the opposite. I slow down and allow my body to heal itself. To understand the way it works, rather than to build an artificial shell around myself. The biggest mistake many make is being too scared to slow down...
  13. @Hamus Yaigh Run a speed test using https://testmy.net The test you are using isn't reporting correctly, simply due to not wanting their speed ranking to suffer. You are seeing the speeds you might get on a Max Speed package, but the actual speed you can use is 4Mbps. Check it for yourself.
  14. Absolute nonsense @Peter Crow The OP wants to listen to music. There was no request for surround sound effects and other related nonsense. Just something with which they can listen to music. The system is which I linked is a good allround choice for under 2000 baht. I have no idea why we get these kind of people attracted to a thread that states a budget of 2000 baht. Braggadocio? Suggesting a system costing 31,000 baht more than the OP's allocated budget? Idiots.
  15. There is a way to get the Family option for 50 or 59 baht per month, but it involves getting a new AIS SIM.
  16. Unless you are paying for AIS Play Family, don't bother to waste your time in going there. It's how these companies get people to subscribe. Pull you in with certain free content and then to move that content into a paid for bundle.
  17. @NoshowJones No it is not. The one to which I have linked also doubles as a Soundbar.
  18. @scubascuba3 How do you take that outside with you?
  19. No better deals for an Unlimited data 15 Mbps 12 month SIM, for a one off payment. There is the TRUE Unlimited 6 Mbps 12 month SIM for 3399 baht. But there is a cheaper option for just data, if you have a Thai partner and can pay monthly. That is with https://gomo.th by AIS. 99 baht for their base SIM and 12 x 259 baht for their Unlimited 15 Mbps data package. Around 3250 baht in total including postage costs. (Approx. 3300 baht for 365 days). Includes unlimited AIS WiFi Hotspot usage. Only 10 minutes of free calls included(50 seconds per month) included with the 99 baht SIM. https://finnmobile.io/en Using DTAC/TRUE 850MHz/1800MHz & 2100MHz(according to their website) offers Unlimited 20 Mbps. 277 baht per month(around 3325 baht per annum). Though I haven't read anything about their service.
  20. I don't even understand why people care about such things 😊 The place is full of weirdoes. I mean real weirdos. What does it matter what they think?
  21. ...using the TV as a monitor. That can work.
  22. How do you watch that on your big TV @BritManToo?
  23. No need to do a monthly top up whilst he is away. Just do them all in one go before he leaves, to max it out to the full twelve months. 220 baht maximum. Then he doesn't need to remember, if he is due to visit before that twelve months is up. The 220 baht in credit can go towards his next package. Best packages need to be applied within seven days. 5G internet 20GB (+15Mbps internet speed 60GB per month) FUP 1Mbps Unlimited free calls to all networks (15 minutes/call) Free unlimited AIS WIFI AIS Play family free Free internet for the first month (20GB) *777*7693# Free internet for 2-6 months (20GB) *777*23002# Automatically renew for 6 months 30 days 300 baht
  24. Easier to get it converted after the fact, if from the airport. You know they do things differently there. He can contact a service centre or call centre for assistance in doing so. Best to do it from abroad if possible, but you'll be limited to certain packages initially. But cheap enough; https://www.ais.th/en/consumers/package/prepaid/prepaid-sims/Net-Marathon-Max-3-Months and choose the eSIM option. 590 baht for three months. In fact it's a nonsensical system, as you need an AIS number or any Thai number, in order to create an account to buy an eSIM. I didn't check if International mobile numbers are suitable.
