Yes probably right. All the videos are in the public domain. We can all see what happened. Just a shame that the copper lost his temper, fully understandable I think under the circumstances. But it was lucky the totally innocent man in Starbucks wasn't very seriously injured or the police or other members if the public in the car park.

Are you talking about the cctv footage released at the time taken in the car park? My guess it was somebody from security at the airport. Sorry but the vicious assault of "two" female officers does make a difference. Two hunking great, very violent men against two weaker women. That is like saying an assault by a violent adult against a 14 year old boy isn't more significant had it been against an adult male. Or may be a violent young male against a 70 year old male.

I only saw a video of the initial assault 2 or 3 nights ago. On the BBC news site they had the actual assault in Starbucks plus some new footage in the car park. I looked again the next day to post here and it was gone. Whether it was a leak before it was shown in court so the BBC took it down I don't know. This was the only time I have seen footage, and I have searched a lot, of the Starbucks assault that kicked this all off. If anybody does have a link can they post it here.

Why do you say botched arrest? It was clear neither of them were prepared to go quietly. I suppose when they give their evidence we will be told why they resisted arrest so violently. It is ironic that the police go mob handed to arrest somebody who said some hurty words but send two police women and one police man to arrest two extremely violent thugs.

The Post Office themselves brought the prosecutions not the CPS however the, so called, legal profession were necessarily involved and it now appears perjury and perverting the course of justice was employed to get the accused found guilty.

One case charges brought in less than a month. The other case charges brought in 5 months in what was a very simple, uncomplicated case. They are not different. Both were unprovoked extreme violence. Absolutely stinks of a conspiracy.

Takes a fool to recognise a fool. Assault was on the 26 Oct 2024, charged on the 7 Nov 2024, so offense to being charged less than a month. On the flimsiest video evidense but not to dissimilar to the Manchester case. Court hearing 24 Feb 2025 being charged to court hearing 3 months. Pleading guilty of not the plea would not have been until he attended court.

It seemed to work to get Michael Amesbury prosecuted for an equally violent assault. Strangely that didn't take 5 months to press charges. Notice the differences.

His view on doing justice is out of the Horizon scandal book of how to seek justice. Been going on for 25 years and my guess is at least another 10 years to go. Legal profession makes a killing prosecuting and defending the poor sub post masters and mistresses. It then all blows up and the legal profession makes another killing as it all goes through the public inquiry phase. Then they make a third killing when it all goes back to court to sort out the compensation and the prosecution for perjury and perverting the course justice by the Post Office and its legal teams. Then we have Grenfell Tower still to play out. What great times to be a legal person jumping on the gravy trains in the UK now.

No wonder justice in the UK takes so long and is so expensive. If the bleeding obvious case take 5 months then the chances the culprit would die of old age in a complicated one.

A guy goes up to a member of the public in Star Bucks and head butts him. In full view of all the customers and staff and on any amount of cctv and the CPS take 5 months to decide whether to charge or not. Imagine how long they would take if it was actually a difficult case.

Star Bucks was mentioned on Friday at the opening session of the court, not today. Exactly, why has it taken until now for the first assault to come to light. They went to arrest the two violent thugs in the car part because of the previous assault.

You will already have to my response. There is absolutely nothing complex about the assault of a member of the public in Star Bucks then resisting arrest. At an airport so oozing with cctv. "If the evidence is not absolutely nailed down before charges are brought and they get off on a technicality what do you think would happen? Riots on the streets probably, so let them do their jobs." Well if they got off on a technicality of the first assault then no doubt we will all know where we stand.

Utter BS. Not complex at all. It is all on cctv. Accusations of police brutality. This all began in Star Bucks long before the police got involved. It took 21 weeks to bring charges for a very simple assault on a member of the public in Star Bucks.
