Scientists warn earth near irreversible “hothouse” state
https://holoceneclimate.com/temperature-versus-co2-the-big-picture.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Late_Cenozoic_Ice_Age https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_age we are still stuck in the deepest ice age since before complex life evolved, (Quaternary ice age) and almost all lives lost are due to cold, not warmth https://ourworldindata.org/part-one-how-many-people-die-from-extreme-temperatures-and-how-could-this-change-in-the-future Globally, cold deaths are 9 times higher than heat-related ones. In no region is this ratio less than 3, and in many, it’s over 10 times higher. Cold is more deadly than heat, even in the hottest parts of the world. The myth is that climate was lovely during little ice age 1300-1850. Reality is that crops would routinely freeze over before they had time to ripen, and famine was the norm, and europeans migrated to americas in a last attempt to stave off starvation

Scientists warn earth near irreversible “hothouse” state
Heat accounts for approximately 50% of the world’s total final energy consumption. This makes heating the largest single end-use of energy, significantly more than electricity (20%) or transportation (30%). Scientists warn earth near irreversible “hothouse” state
despite most of all the worlds energy production goes into heating to stay alive, cold still claims 9 times more lives than warmth, and even in the hottest regions of the world. beside living in a more pleasant world with more biomass and biodiversity in a warmer world, we would cut energy need in half and subsequently get a lower electric bill. its a win in every measurable way if only we could exit this deep ice age, the worst since before complex life even evolved. it boggles the mind that anyone wants even colder climate and daydream of a return to little ice age climate 1300-1850, when, as the saying went, even the pigs were starving

Scientists warn earth near irreversible “hothouse” state
https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2004/feb/22/usnews.theobserver A secret report, suppressed by US defence chiefs and obtained by The Observer, warns that major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a ‘Siberian’ climate by 2020. Nuclear conflict, mega-droughts, famine and widespread rioting will erupt across the world. The findings will prove humiliating to the Bush administration, which has repeatedly denied that climate change even exists. Experts said that they will also make unsettling reading for a President who has insisted national defence is a priority. https://cei.org/blog/wrong-again-50-years-of-failed-eco-pocalyptic-predictions/

the 16 trillion USD campaign havnt altered the climate by even one tenth of one degree celsius, which is a good thing since current temperature is too low to be optimal already

Is The World Is Falling Out Of Love With Trump
for me, it went the other way around, after he cancelled the endangerment finding President of the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow Craig Rucker said in a statement to The Center Square that “at its core, the Endangerment Finding defies basic science and common sense.” “CO2, the odorless, colorless, gas you just exhaled, is essential to life,” Rucker said. “It is what plants rely on for photosynthesis to produce oxygen and food.” “We are all made of that carbon,” Rucker stated; thus, labeling CO2 “a ‘pollutant’ is absurd, akin to declaring water vapor a threat.” Rucker said that “a rigorous cost/benefit analysis reveals the folly: trillions in economic costs from climate mandates that yield no meaningful environmental benefits, stifle innovation, jobs, and energy independence and distract from genuine environmental priorities.” Similar to Rucker, president of the Heartland Institute James Taylor told The Center Square in a statement that the Endangerment Finding defied science. “CO2 is the gift of life for planet Earth, not a pollutant or a threat to public health and welfare,” Rucker said.

Scientists warn earth near irreversible “hothouse” state
scholar Bjorn Lomborg recently calculated that across the globe, governments have spent at least $16 trillion feeding the climate change industrial complex. And for what? Arguably, not a single life has been or will be saved by this shameful and colossal misallocation of human resources. The war on safe and abundant fossil fuels has cost countless lives in poor countries and made those countries poorer by blocking affordable energy. Since the global warming crusade started some 30 years ago, the temperature of the planet has not been altered by one-tenth of a degree — as even the alarmists will admit. In other words, $16 trillion has been spent — a lot of people got very, very rich off the government largesse — but there is not a penny of measurable payoff. Yet it’s much worse than that. In economics there is a concept called opportunity cost: What could we have done with $16 trillion to make the world better off?
