It was very bad when I was there last on January 15th. There are entrances to Immigration labelled VIP, I think, that they were turning people away from. A friend suggested this might be a privilege you can get at a price - a privilege card or something - but I couldn't see anything on the airport website. Does anyone know anything about this?

I have a silver-card for Etihad,on check -in they give me 2 papers:

1 paper to pass trough the vip immigration (no waiting) and 1 paper

for the vip-lounch ( verry good food and service)

I gave a copper 1000b once for a 400b fine.

Got 600b change.

2 days ago ,i came back from Hua Hin,on the toll gates,police were waching for farangs in

cars.The stopped me ,and told my lady that i could not drive my Ford Ranger,4-door ,pickup,

without a hard top on the back .??????? " things can fall off,so all pickups must have a hard-top.

If i did not like it ,he would give me a ticket and i have to leave my car and take a taxi to the center of

Bangkok,to pay the fine. I could choose also to pay him 400 bht,and drive on ,wich i did.

10 minutes later ,on the next toll gate ,they stopped me again . I had to take the most left tollgate

of the 6 gates....because i drove a pick-up !!!!????????

Same story....pay or laeve the car...........

Is there nothing you can do to prevent these robberies???????

Like so many other people that have brought a KLX250 I loved it but was disappointed with its lack of power. Especially going up mountains and a maximum speed of about 115 on the flat.

Luckily I have managed to find a guy that can derestrict the KLX250, Since he has done mine I can fly up mountains and maintain a speed of 131kmh all day long, if I tuck in then I see speeds of 140+.

He charged me 2000 baht to do the work needed. I have since done over 2500kms with no problems. The bike pulls threw out the rev range and feels a lot more responsive.

What exactly did he change?

In Pattaya they change the exhaust (17000 bht and they add a little black box this is 12000 bht .So 30 000 bht to gain 10km/h ?????

For 2,000 Baht I would be very interested to know what this guy could do... Anything I can think of what brings more power to the engine costs more then 2,000 Baht

132 km/h for FREE

1. Disconnect ECU from the rubber base (A)

2. Locate the light green wire (

3. Cut the light green wire close to ECU

4. Add a piece of wire to the light green wire (that you just have cut) to the side that comes out of the ECU (E) long enough to reach (F)

5. Disconnect (F)

6. Connect the wire you added in parallel to the black/red wire (G)

7. Connect again (F)

Ready

I just did it and the maX is only 120 km/h with 10 000 rpm

so "a little bit "better

As a thought all he did was take off the exhaust and bash out what ever restricter Kawasaki had put in there. Normal sort of stuff we did in the Uk on the restricted 125's..............might be wrong though

My stock exaust has plenty (hundreds) of holes in it ,and can be pulled out.

Before they make new laws:

confiscate the vehicles of the following groups of people,and destroy those vehicles:

all drivers without driving license

all taxi- drivers without proper license

all truck-drivers .. .... ....

From this left-over group :

confiscate the vehicle if they are not sufficient insured.

If there are still thai-drivers in this group :

Check if the vehicle is not stolen and then check the lights,if

this is done ; throw the drunk driver in the yail.

I think that there will be only farangs on the road ?

In Big C, people park double park near the entrance, wait for it, cos it's less distance to walk to the door in a lot of cases, not cos theres no spaces.

Cose to my house is the new 7RD extension to Pattaya,new,3 lanes......and nobody wants to drive on the left slow traffique -lane (in europe :if the road is free ,you have to drive on the slow lane ),most of the thais drive in the middle at 70km/h,or in the fast lane ,same slow speed AND a GSM in the hand .

I use to pass them left ,giving a horn when i'm close to them ,to wake them up ! Probably theyno bno dont understand the whole thing ,no liscens,no inshurance ,no active brain........

In the night ,normaly there are no tail lights ,(cars &motorcycles&cycles),if there is light in the front :it is blinding you ,not ajusted.Turn signals :dont thrust them !

If the pick-up car in front of you has 15 to 20 people in the back,completly normal,wach out for empty "Lipo" bottles trown in front of your wheels .

NO thai ever looks in his rear mirrors ,exept to check there looks !In their "mind" there is only an empty street behind them ,even if they just past you.

Driving against traffique is permitted if it saves you time?
