  1. I trust using the correct or Suzuki recommended oil. CVT's have a reputation for being picky about the oil.
  2. I wouldn't be embarrassed. Fortunately you don't live anywhere near me, I hope!
  3. Two Irish guys are walking along a road and one of them spots something in the hedge so he goes to look. "What is it?" says his friend. "It is a gravestone" says the first guy brushing away some undergrowth. "Does it say who it was?" replies his mate. Yeah it says it was "MIles from Dublin"
  4. I think we are wondering what is yours. Why do the signs need to be that accurate? Even if I were riding a bicycle 5 or 10kms would not make that much difference. Maybe there were two signs to instal that day and they are the wrong way round? So what...You would have to be going at some speed before any decision you made after seeing the discrepancy made any difference to your immediate driving decisions. One sees ostensibly wacky things in Asia almost everyday. I don't dwell on them.
  5. Some people get caught up in the numbers without realizing. Then there is selfishness, possession et al. I usually think what can I buy with the money or how would, say, 100 baht help me if it was my last 100. Of course if I took a cab every day on the exact same route and it is always 200 baht and one day a guy wanted 300 i might argue but even then. these numbers are too round for a metered cab fare.
  6. Crossing a double yellow line. Tut, tut
  7. Which are Tylenol/paracetamol. Again, I haven't heard a word of complaint about the local hospital here.
  8. Suit is filed in Florida which has or endorses high standards of free speech so it may all fizzle. Plus the Beeb may settle out of court. Last time I looked the sky was still there.
  9. ^ then don't think it is all abysmal just because your local one is crap. Travel a bit further to a larger one. Gees!
  10. To consume or not consume is a personal choice. It has little to do with selling. Some people may not use petrol / gasoline but that doesn't mean they shouldn't sell it. As for Islam. In Indonesia one can still purchase alcohol. They even have a "national" beer in Bintang. It is up to the individuals belief system whether or not they consume it
  11. ^ No one where I live complains about the local hospital.
  12. It is not the health care that is abysmal as you say. It is getting to the nearest hospital from the countryside village.
  13. Indian with a dot or Indian with a feather? Just for clarity.
  14. I believe the White Temple (or more technically Wat Rong Khun) is a private attraction like ,say, Mini Siam in Pattaya or The Ancient City in Samut Prakan . So they are free to charge whatever they wish. I have visited with a small group but didn't enter as it is not my thing. I sat in the a/c Cafe across the carpark from the entrance. It was quite pleasant.
  15. Isn't that Ad hominem? Not something one would expect from a member of an intellectual milieu? I wasn't born into nor educated in a divisive two party culture so I see nothing wrong with socialism in areas such as education, healthcare et al. It is mostly in the number one divisive country that socialism is considered communism-lite.
  16. Mitigating (in Yorkshire)
  17. I was thinking more "Oh, the Irony" Nothing wrong with socialism. I think a Fire Dept. is socialism . But apparently they are OK?
  18. When did the F (******) Stop
  19. Duplicate post. Sometimes this site is annoying and opinions are poles apart.
  20. Maybe the stuff Aussies in NSW can get for 3hrs at lunchtime?
