  1. 12 weeks and counting for a passport application is not a very good service. I don't blame the office in Bangkok but the whole lousy process that sends an application back to the UK where the system is obviously near to breaking.
  2. Submitted an application for my daughter's renewal at the beginning of July and still waiting for notification to pick it up from vfs. <deleted> service in my opinion.
  3. The Thai King officially appointed Prayut as PM of Thailand in August 2014. He was the only candidate put forward and told reporters after the ceremony that he was ready for the position of Prime Minister and would work to restore democracy. His 8 years are definitely up. He only stays on if some loophole can be found by his friends at court.
  4. "...... the fee collection system is now being prepared."
  5. I had what sounds like the same problem with my Triton at a similar mileage. Turned out to be the suction control valve, scv.
  6. The Tory's seem to be on a mission to wreck the UK all by themselves.
  7. "in league with the gangs" Did it really take so long to realise the truth?
  8. Does that mean they have more money to pay back those still awaiting refunds for cancelled flights?
  9. Four minutes? He was spoiling her or maybe that included the afters cigarette.
  10. Very difficult to vote out of power a Govt with 250 appointed Senators loyal to the mob now in control. The opposition will need a huge majority of elected MPs, 376 out of 500.
  11. An infection of between 60 and 70% of the population would suggest an average of around 50000 people being infected every single day since covid hit Thailand. Makes rather a mockery of the absurdly low figures being churned out month after month.
  12. I was responding to his call on a total sugar ban and what some may see as a logical follow on with the banning on alcohol. Personally I would not want to see the banning of either just the encouragement of moderate and healthy consumption. A tax rate on both is part of that encouragement.
  13. Are mosquito's kept as pets? Plenty of schemes already in place to try and eradicate the threat from them though.
  14. "I would imagine that the damage caused by sugar is a bigger burden on society than the damage caused by all illegal drugs put together Sugar should be banned as a food additive and should only be allowed for use in the production of alcohol" Alcohol is also a bigger burden on society than the damage caused by all illegal drugs put together as well. If you want to totally ban sugar makes sense to ban alcohol too.
  15. He was a shooter for the 'winning' side in the 2014 coup. He was always going to be released early.
  16. It was a sack used to be filled with corn. Spent cartridges are ejected and remain in the bag in an attempt to make the weapon harder to identify.
  17. That's an average of 35000 bht for every single tourist.
  18. More likely on it's last couple of lives for not coming up with any winners.
  19. Spot on, I understand now, thanks.
  20. Ok thanks for that. I see that the surcharge added 355.97 bht but we received a discount of 117.73 bht. An overall increase of 238.24 bht.
  21. We got our electric bill today. 381 units at a cost of 1860.70 bht. By coincidence last months bill was also for 381 units and the princely sum of 1706.76 bht so this months bill shows a price rise of about 9%. Any Govt help isn't showing up just yet.
  22. Poor guy, now he's lost the 50% commission he was going to earn from all the 'next Tiger Woods' he was about to churn out at his school project.
  23. 15 years ago when we were building our house one of the truckers delivering soil was taking yabaa. He said it kept him awake 2 days straight so he could make alot of money when many deliveries were required in a short timescale.
  24. If they were being handed out with the workers wages then there's the possibility the employer was in on the supply as a means of improving productivity.
