There is zero excuse for this litter not to be picked up and recycled. One of wifeys friends and her husband runs a very successful outdoor movie and entertainment business. After the show they organise for the site to be cleared and the recyclables taken away. Easy money, at a recent show they earned an extra 20k bht just by organising the clearing away of the rubbish and cashing it in.
A so called democrat joins a party created to further the agenda of the coup makers. Contemptible self interest at it's finest. Is there actually a Thai word for integrity?
It was a suggestion for the rate that could be offered a reduced number of days worked. Casual labour is a minefield to negotiate in Thailand and I have never come across a contract drawn up for days off, employers absence etc.
Is it fair? Absolutely not. Will casual employee rights improve on a widespread basis? Never in Thailand.
Here in the village interest rates can be between 2 and 7 percent for large loans of thousands of bht over many months. For the old ladies borrowing 100 bht a day then they are required to repay between 130 and 150 bht the next day.
If you don't think lessening your chances of dieing, if admitted to hospital, by 75% is a crock then there's no point in carrying on this exchange. Stay well.
If you consider that those vaccinated and admitted to hospital with covid were 4 times less likely to die than those who were unvaccinated I'd argue the vaccine was very effective.
Of course the vaccine works. Of the approx 5000 admitted to hospital at least 4000 would most likely have been vaccinated, according to Govt stats, of which 36 died so of the 1000 who were unvaccinated 38 died, a significantly higher death rate.
"The delay happened mostly with THAI because it downsized its organization and workforce"
To coin a well known phrase, 'Well there's your problem'.
Having worked as ground crew in the past, prolonged delays to the delivery of luggage to the collection belts are almost totally the result of not enough staff.
Not surprising that the banks are pushing for everyone to use digital payments as they will get a percentage of every single transaction. This is not some philanthropic suggestion but motivated by the greed of already rich institutions. The cost, as always, will be transferred to those using their cards and smartphones.
Hopefully you're over covid now and wasn't trying to diminish your symptoms in any way. All the people we know who've had it recently are young and been vaccinated so guess that helped for them. Nurse friend at the local small hospital also told us cases are on the rise as is the number they're sending to the large hospital for further treatment.
Personally I'm still being very careful as luckily avoided covid so far and don't want it at 63 years old either.
