    If the defendants are ordered to appear before the court and fail to do so surely the minimum they should be charged with is contempt of court not walk away without fear of further charges.

    I planned my retirement in Thailand in 2003 and was fully aware of the frozen pensions issue. It's unfair but to move to a foreign country without understanding the financial implications is not a wise thing to do.

    Busses should not burn that quickly trapping so many inside. If this bus is one of those fitted with a cheap gas conversion somebody has blood on their hands.

    "While the injuries suggest a blunt object was used...." The fact that Police consider that a blunt instrument may have been used suggests very much the son is a suspect if they rule out an innocent fall.

    A few years ago wifey and I were at a big party for a friend's son Monk Ordination. There was a well known local comedian entertaining the guests and he spotted me, the only farang in the audience, and I started to get a few jokes aimed my way. 'We have a sex tourist here tonight, where's the best prostitutes?' got a big laugh. 'Your house' I replied and got a big laugh in response. Thais know exactly what their country is famous for.

    Here in the village somebody in ALL the houses near us possesses a firearm of some sort. Not aware of a single one that is legally owned and not a single person seems to care.

    Absolutely the drivers fault but that accident looks very survivable as proved by the driver being alive and no it wasn't his amulet. I'd like to know it the two passengers were wearing seatbelts. I'm guessing no.
