I'm not convinced that this is a factual statement. Most Thai people would have work-related health insurance and those that don't would be covered by the 30 Baht program. Try rocking up to a government hospital without insurance and I'm pretty sure that you are looking a sizeable bill. They bill by the day, plus medication. And Thai hospitals don't actually have palliative care per se.. Those beds are valuable assets, not to be occupied for a lengthy period of just looking after you, as opposed to "treating" you. That uses the same resources as does treatment for people who actually have a reasonable chance of recovery..

While I have always applauded the 30 Baht Medical program he introduced, as it was truly revolutionary for low-income Thai people, this man has absolutely zero credibility when it comes to drugs.. State encouraged extra-judicial executions given wide publicity.. Pretty sure that Duterte was influenced by that program. Thai people tolerated it for a few months and then the public outcry put paid to that literally murderous policy. Yesterday's man.

Not to mention that this supports K. Anutin's position.. so highly unlikely to be a roll-back.. Wondering how many Americans are currently incarcerated for simple possession.. I wouldn't think that many these days. But given America's ridiculously large prison population I could be surprised. Thailand released over 3,000 prisoners, and for more than simple possession I believe. as long as case involved cannabis only. Over to you America.

Thanks.. I just read it. Looks like it covers all the bases.. As a Canadian "person ineligible for entry" I, and the many (hundreds of thousands) Canadian citizens as well as others from other countries, particularly appreciate the following clause.. "prohibits the denial of benefits and protections under immigration laws on the basis of a cannabis-related event (e.g., conduct or a conviction)"

The milk of human kindness is in short supply in this thread.. I'm going to attempt to steer the conversation in a different direction.. It's no secret that medical costs in Thailand are not inexpensive. This impacts people's thinking. We have almost on our doorstep a huge country, with less expensive (in some cases much less expensive) medical care. It's hospitals are filled with the same people who are doing the same job in our own countries. With the added benefit that they are mostly fluent in English. Yes, I'm talking about India. Perhaps the idea of sourcing anything more than routine medical care there is an idea that should be higher up in the minds of the older long-term residents.

Does this look like gorilla glue or is it fake?
bobbin replied to onebaht's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
I have purchased "Gorilla Glue" twice now , based on reputation.. Both looked better than your example. Both were weak. I've already decided not to buy this "strain" again.. -

Technology.. I love it! i read a few days ago that California is going to ban natural gas furnaces. Apparently air quality issues, but I always figured natural gas was pretty clean. As a Canadian, we loved our natural gas furnaces. They were the only thing saving us from becoming icicles .. Central air cons not particularly common, as it's the opposite problem to Thailand. Only relatively short periods of use.. So maybe this is the future.. Combination air/heat units. Energy efficient. Same eco footprint as regular air unit because the heat is generated by the compressed gas. I didn't know this... Sounds good to me, but hey... need to expand the outside temperature range to minus 30 Celsius to be useful in Canada! -

I had Leowood laminate installed over 15 years ago. It still looks great.. I had the existing tile removed and new concrete applied and leveled. This makes for the best installation. I did buy some extra boxes in case of damage. They have not been used.. yet. Well, actually less than one box has been used. But you will fear rain. My condo is sea-facing with aluminum windows and in extreme weather, strong wind and rain, some water was entering. Result was water-swollen boards that abutted the windows. That was the first year. Windows were resealed with silicone inside and outside. Now I only fear cyclone/typhoon wind and rain. After all this time, I'm still pleased with the look and performance...

Phil, you are posting good stuff, but please avoid the use of the word "drunk" when describing cannabis effects.. It will confuse the new canna-curious people, Drunk is too tied to the use of alcohol. For cannabis we already have many good words to describe it's effects.. Stoned Wasted Fried High (as a kite) Blasted Etc. Many more. Might be a good game to see how many other words we use..

As I noted, there is no extraction in hash (IMO) so theoretically possible. Extracts is the word they are using, but Gummies from USA available. Extracts have the potential for explosions and fire when attempted by the inexperienced. Industry, of course, has the equipment and knowledge to safely produce extracts. Seems to be no problem getting Nepali and to a lesser extent Afghan hash

The reference would be clear to Canadian readers of the original article from a Canadian news outlet.. There are several criminal organizations in British Columbia who have made a lot of money in the criminal drug trade. Of course this is possible only because the products they deal in are illegal. The United Nations gang is, just as the name implies, an organization that does not discriminate based on ethnic/national origin.

Why even say something like this? So you are ok with even more violence in the illegal drug trade? The obvious approach is to decriminalize all drug use and source clean safe products for people.. But you don't like that idea. You want to continue the 70 year old unwinnable War on Drugs. You have already made many posts to this effect in discussions regarding Thailand's efforts to liberalize (humanize) formerly harsh laws , whose only effect was to over-fill their prisons..
