So Honda has dreamed up their own definition of IMU-linked braking? Possible yes. Likely no..
Widen your search parameters to "IMU-linked braking" not the Honda articles..
-
To be honest, I received the article on a Google feed and had to do a search for IMU-linked brakes..
Apparently there are 6 azimuths measured by sensor in the most capable systems and only 5 azimuths measured by sensor in lesser systems with the 6th measurement provided by an algorithm..
It is indeed meant to provide ABS braking in a corner. There is a video by KTM which compared the two types of systems.. as well as no ABS.
Edit. IMU braking in a corner vs. only ABS
-
Honda has just released the CB300R with IMU-linked brakes, aka cornering ABS.
The trickle-down of advanced ABS tech has reached the cheaper bikes...
Well done Honda.

I bought a less than 2 year old Mazda 2 Elegance with a little over 20K km. from a tent in Bangkok. I saved over 250,000 Baht versus new price. Still had 14 months of warranty left..
I've had no problems with it.

About 6 months ago a Canadian debit card that had been working without problems for years began to not work in Kasokorn ATMs. Sporadically at first, then every time. Contacted the Canadian bank (TDCanadaTrust). No problem from their end..
They sent me a new one by UPS, same as the OP. It arrived after 3 business days! Excellent service.
So I have been using it without problems for several months. A couple of days ago, on the advice of friends, I went to a Krungsi Bank branch to make a withdrawal. In Pattaya, at this branch, there is a kiosk outside the bank where you can use a debit card without paying the ATM charge. The young teller at the kiosk confirmed that this was the case if you have your passport with you and the debit card shows your name. The card reader would not accept my card, despite several attempts. Contact your bank, I was told..
Oh crap. I went down the street to an SCB ATM. Worked no problem. It's scary. I'm here many years. The bank knows this and there are no blocks from their end.

Pop Auto Glass on Sukhumvit ( North Pattaya ) can install 3M Crystaline. They do a decent job.
Pop Auto Glass

Having just replaced a stone-damaged front windshield, I called this shop for a quote on Crystaline 2 days ago.
7000 Baht for the windshield!
The shop that changed the windshield currently has a promotion on ceramic auto film. 50% off the regular price of 12,000 Baht for the entire car, so 6000 Baht..
Guess which film I'll be buying.

See the list of countries where the MiA1 is due to be released.
They are not advertising for the benefit of grey-market importers..
Since Xiaomi is still in the process of rolling out globally (previously only officially available in China and India) they have obviously partnered with local distributors and designated them as "Authorized Re-sellers". With service and full warranties.

Yes, AOB, NASA, Link all have the Mi Mix - I assume you know the Mi Mix 2 will be launched today.
Xiaomi phones have long been available for purchase here in Thailand, both from locally sourced on-line suppliers and brick/mortar shops.
Most channels offer grey-market product, so typically no warranty. Some channels may offer some models with some sort of local warranty. Obviously, you should check to see what's included re: warranty. Not sure how big a market Thailand is for Xiaomi, so if they can get a distributor to take on all of the sales, distribution, importing, localization, marketing, support, service, etc. that shifts a lot of responsibility to the distributor (in exchange for exclusivity and a much higher discount of course). It's honestly not "hair-splitting", but rather Channel Distribution 101, basic stuff.
"Authorized re-seller" has different meanings to different people. Early on it is easier to just replace faulty product, rather than set up a service organization. Or simply send the faulty product to the nearest Xiaomi service facility.
Every shop previously selling Xiaomi were selling grey-market phones. No warranty or warranty provided by re-seller.
That's no longer the case.
Please just do a Google search. I don't know if you just don't get it, or if you are being deliberately obtuse and/or argumentative...

^^
What a lot of hair-splitting.....
The point is that fans and potential purchasers of Xiaomi's phones no longer have to order from China..
"Authorized re-seller" means manufacturer approved Service and Warranty in Thailand.
While Xiaomi has a lot of money from their IPO and a recent $1 Billion dollar loan, Global expansion is an expensive undertaking...
No more nit-picking ok? I was just passing on the information. Correct information.

I would be a bit careful with pronouncements like this. Yes, some models sold through some channels may have some sort of local warranty service/repair. Obviously, you should expect to pay more for those versions, and you should ask about this. Many of the hot models are grey-market imports and volume shops like NASA clearly say "no warranty".
During the launch last week of the A1, a slide did say it would be launched here. Localizing a product can involve some expense, time, cost, staff, training, spares, parts, etc.
I get a Xiaomi news feed from Google..
The article included pic of Xiaomi executive and Thai executive. My obvious conclusion is that the Xiaomi Official Store in Thailand services and warranties every model they sell.
It's just a cheaper way to get a foothold here. I had to order my Redmi Note 4X thru AliExpress. Waited about 15 days and warranty goes back to China, so a bit of a gamble. Not going to have that problem as long as you buy the models they are selling here.

It appears the Lazada's "Xiaomi Official Store" is really just an authorized reseller/'distributor' (FansLink) who have opened affiliate stores with that name on Lazada, 11th St, Shopee, Priceza, Facebook, Line, etc.
Same same.
Warranty and service now provided in Thailand.

Blatant copy of the far higher quality Yamaha. Is this all Honda can offer , after 7 years. Im assuming , as with other Hondas , it uses many Chinese made components , but where is is put together. Many Hondas come from India , Brazil Thailand etc and this will effect its price. As most Hondas are 20% overpriced , it needs to be cheap , but its a very nice looking bike - like a Yamaha.
Hondas are not over-priced here, They are a bargain compared to Kawasaki (rip off as they are built here) and Yamaha (imported ). Who cares if it's similar to M-Slaz (with better specs).
Like for like Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha all sell for similar prices in the developed markets. Here Honda is up to 30% less expensive.
We already know you don't like Honda.

Xiaomi has now made it's phones officially available in Thailand, although not all models are currently available...
The Xiaomi Store can be found on Lazada Thailand.
The new Xiaomi MiA1 Android One will be sold in Thailand starting next week, probably selling for about 7500 baht.
I don't think I will be buying one though as I have the Redmi Note 4X, which has the same Snapdragon 625 processor. I also have the Imobile Android One which is a couple of years old now. I'm interested to see if it receives the Oreo Android 8, as it is currently running Android 7.1.1 so it should be able to handle 8.

thanks for your swift reply this we tried yesterday but the problem was NO TOOLS ICON.
Ha!. I just went through this..
This morning I received an email from Skype saying that I was using an older version and needed to d/l the latest version for W10 or I would not be able to sign in after Sept. 4. So I did that, following the link in the email.
This is the part that might be causing your problem. I went to the Start menu and opened Skype. No video available. Wasted a few minutes on Google, which said open Tools and go to Options. Only problem was no Menu in Skype to open Tools. I got annoyed and decided to uninstall Skype. I did that. Then I opened Start Menu again. There had been 2 Skype icons, now only one. So I opened it and saw the Skype page, complete with Menu, including Tools. The version I had just d/l.
You cannot have 2 versions of Skype on the computer. I was trying to open the version that came pre-installed..
Check in your start menu. If you see 2 Skype icons, delete the older one. If all goes well you can go to Tools and change language.

Roundabouts are not common in North America. Even well-educated drivers with little to no experience using them are not comfortable using them..
The Soi Watboon roundabout did move traffic faster than the current intersection but that was not the point. Intersections with traffic lights are universal and everybody understands how they work.
This is what works..
Sensors in the road controlling the traffic lights. Red light cameras. Fines that get steeper for re-offenders.. Easy. Red light runners are way worse than speeders, as they transgress the basic rule of the road, that is that you are safe if you follow the directions of the traffic lights.
Plus plus that the Police/Municipal authorities get to sit back and watch the money roll in from all the offenders until the offenders get tired of being hit in the wallet for their selfish driving habits and start to wise up and follow the rules of the road.

Craig krup...
I'm not a Brit, but I have just started reading this thread, as I have some British friends who unfortunately are being affected by the current situation.
I just wanted to post to say that I am enjoying the way you write, and what you are writing is tickling my remaining brain cells.
I have a reasonable amount of assets here in Thailand. A nice condo, a car, motorcycle, the big screen 4K television, blah blah. I've been here 15 years. But at least half of my money is in cash, in my home country, earning nothing or next to it. It makes me feel comfortable though, as I always have access to cash. It's not that I don't know anything about investing, as I have researched. BTW, what I came away with from that research was...buy ETFs. Low fees, spread the risk. But...
It scares me. I'm afraid that I'll screw it up somehow and lose most of my cash money. It's not particularly rational, as I know about inflation eating cash holdings. Add in FX fluctuations...
How does a guy like me pull the trigger? Whack in 20% like you say, and watch what happens? Get used to the sensation, and add on downturns?
Don't worry, I won't come looking for you if my fears are realized!
Sorry, I just realized this might be going off topic.

You can usually review the specs, read reviews online, watch reviews on Youtube, download and read the user's manual to get a feel for the "Smarts".
Some brands/models, e.g. LG, natively support Android, so that makes it convenient for utilizing Play Store apps.
I was pretty surprised that my new Samsung included a Synology app, making my NAS a "source", and I can "cast" pretty much anything from any Android device easily (so no need to use a Chromecast). Also has many of the paid subscriptions included (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu). But I cannot sideload an Android APK, say NFL Gamepass - for some reason I thought that GP was supported on Samsung TVs. For that, I have to use an Android TV box. (Obviously, you can use a wireless keyboard/mouse with an Android TV box.)
Unfortunately there are no reviews online for my model. There is a different 50 UHD model sold in the United States that comes with Roku built in. Mine is a very poor Android system. No Netflix, as it is not certified for Netflix according to Netflix customer service. I downloaded the Netflix app from Playstore (can access Playstore) but after an update to the app it no longer worked. The Android on my TV is KitKat (4+) and the new app requires Lollipop (5).
Also, the built in media player does not support many files playable on Samsung and LG.
I use a Minix box to get around this problem, but this is not necessary with Samsung and LG. This is an unnecessary expense with the TCL, offsetting the cheaper price. I would sell it in a heartbeat...

The model in the OP is UHD, which I'm assuming to be 4K.
Edit: To the OP, I've been real pleased with the price and performance of my TCL Brand TV's. I've got a 40" FHD, a 40" 4K and a 50" 4K. Like HiSense, it's a very popular brand in China and significantly lower in price than the famous names in Thailand.
I also have a TCL 50 UHD. I'm not that happy with it, as it has a very poor "smart" interface.
You can't test this in the shop, so it was an unpleasant surprise compared to friends UHD Samsungs and LGs.

It only took that long because it was a new machine and had to download and install the Creators update.
Still seems like an excessive length of time though.
Bottom line? You can't change how long it's going to take to update. You can only change when it's going to happen.

My Redmi Note 4X received the MIUI 8.5 update 2 days ago. Had to check the Updater app to see it was available. This updates to Android 7 or Nougat...
The Global roll-out of MIUI 9 is still on track for this month or next.

Is certainly not a factor in (more expensive) phones with more RAM. These days I wouldn't recommend anything less than 32gb.
I think you mean ROM....

I think I recall reading that Samsung blocks using the sd card as internal memory, as is possible with a less skinned version of Marshmallow. Also, no apps on the card. Only photos and videos can go on the card..
I know someone with this phone. IMHO the phone is just barely usable because of the inability to delete Samsung bloatware.
Having it rooted is an option, but selling it would be a better option...
