Correct, but the fine stands. My friend who was caught, fews years back now, but his pension dropped to what it was in 2009, the date they said he left. He was not fined, but he got the bill to pay back, which he did. The other bloke I know was fined, and his pension dropped to what he should have got when he left. He went back to the UK, he was a friend of the chap above. A member of staff here has his own story, chap got caught, and his daughter in the UK was involved in the repercussions as she was his "middleman"..😱

I bet in the USA a vast number of those hats are being discretely put in the trash......................🤭

But, if you get caught they reduce your pension to what the amount should have been when they say you left, my friend had to pay the over payments back. What happens if you have no money, dunno...But fore sure, if they have the evidence, you will not still get the pension of the day.. UK revenue, has fines, caught fiddling the pension is/was 1000 quid. Late tax return, 100 quid. 😢

I know one bloke who paid the 1000 quid fine and whatever else, never went to court because DWP had the evidence. My own friend got away with the 1000quid fine by a hospital letter stating he had had brain surgery, which was true, his sister did his paperwork in the UK, because he couldn't, nobody knew about the locked pension like me, they thought they just got it......But he still had to pay the overpayment back, and his pension reduced to the time he left for LOS.........😥

Actually, when I moved here I had no idea my FUTURE state pension would be locked, even my accountant didn't mention it, so it seems not many did at the time. I retired 8 years early, so only came to my attention later on reading on here, so don't jump to conclusions ol' chum, eh......😉

My chums pension was reduced to what it should have been at the time THEY said he left the UK.... He had to paid back the overpayments..........😥

OK, thanks, just that something tells me, though I could be wrong, the 60 extension date was set at the day I went to immigration, not from the day my permission to stay ended. Can you tell me which. ?

Is there something in there about prosecution to get their money back, and/or to revert your pension to the date they estimate you left the UK to claim that money back, if so, could you point it out please.....? 😉 I mean, this was sent to me regarding my pension.....
