Sunbeam, after a long life of buying stuff, I can categorically state that I can't think of one 100% made Chinese item that didn't last the course.

Yes, Triumph went into liquidation way back, Bloor took it on near 40 years back and made a success of it, so much so, Triumph now has six factories producing the bikes, England, Brazil and Thailand. Triumph is 100% British owned. ????
There is tech out there to do exactly that, but the rebuild costs will be rising. Looking at the internal state of the engine, I would not be surprised if they find the turbo is stuffed.
