Sunbeam, after a long life of buying stuff, I can categorically state that I can't think of one 100% made Chinese item that didn't last the course. If the Chinese auto stuff was known worldwide to be great, then they would already be sweeping the auto market with winners, they haven't, they bought a British brand name and history to get on that sales wagon...

There is tech out there to do exactly that, but the rebuild costs will be rising. Looking at the internal state of the engine, I would not be surprised if they find the turbo is stuffed.
