  1. You missed my post then....????...............????
  2. Mine doesn't have a spring to rust away or clog up, it has a counterweight that keeps it closed until the weight of running water overcomes it... High tech eh.....????
  3. I replaced the shower drain with one that has a trap door, it opens with the water weight and remains closed at all other times. No bugs, no smell... All made from stainless steel and way better than the ones that rely on water seal.....
  4. My friend has no earths in his house electricity circuitry. I noticed he had this stainless steel cooker with three pin plug, plugged into a two pin extension lead. I said that is dangerous, you need the earth to have half a chance against electrocution, he said, ...."Well its been alright for ten years"..... ???? PS. I even offered to earth the kitchen stuff, but no....
  5. Air does not get into the braking system, water gets into the braking system via the reservoir fluid. If it were a sealed system, it would not need a reservoir... ????
  6. But, it was your usage of that vehicle, your perception of the pedal feel, you're not knowing what's going on inside your ride....A lot of your's...????
  7. So what was the ride and year of the bloke I was replying too, remind me...?
  8. Yep, I even put early day electronic ignition on British Leyland stuff, it was OK. My 1976 Pontiac had electronic ignition from factory, no ECU though... My old 1988 Volvo had an ECU, ignition, injection and even the climate control was auto controlled...Brill...
  9. That is a broad statement, I am not sure that it is fact, but it maybe...????
  10. Be interested to know the car and year, just for my ol' grey cells...
  11. Then technology has moved on in your case. Still don't understand new rotors to cure brake lights...???? What year car/truck is it...?
  12. Brake lights are usually operated by a switch on the top end of the brake pedal, if faulty can either stay on or off.
  13. Must confess I never changed the brake fluid in my 1988 Volvo 760 Estate until I had to replace a rear caliper, I will not tell you why I had to replace it....???? Auto trans fluid is in a virtually sealed environment, the fluid relies on temperature stability to maintain its structure, if my memory serves me well, its 175*F. If optimal temperature is maintained it can go on forever, 100,000 miles is no problem for auto fluid if temp has been in its operating window in those old boxes. ????
