  1. Have you ever driven a 998cc Morris 1000 ?, yes the 998cc Celerio fly's..????..
  2. Indeed, and a stamp is not mandatory, though preferred.... Fill the form in send it off, wait about a month and ring them up to find out if they received it and all is well. You will be asked a few security questions, have your N.I. number ready...
  3. I think he's on a retainer with MG......
  4. Yep, it's amazingly quiet too, just drifts along, but if you floor it in sports mode, it really fly's, bit of a delay, but makes me think how bad our small cars of yesteryear really were. It has a 3 pot 998cc engine, 68 hp. which is more than the loveable 4 pot 998cc Mini Cooper of yesteryear, about the same as the 1071 Mini Cooper S..... ????
  5. We have it's younger brother, the Suzuki Celerio, now 8 years old, has CVT with no problems, cost peanuts to run and at around 400,000bht is one of the cheapest rides out there. Small big car, 5 doors the 4 side doors are the same size as my Vigo, it has the headroom of the Vigo too.......A/C is good, power steering is good, and it stops good too. Even has seat belts for 5...????
  6. And it was nonsense............... Congrats....????
  7. There are no slippy clutches/belts in a CVT, the fact is, a CVT is more economical to run than an auto, it is guided by your engine's useable torque............????
  8. ...........wiv big pay packets for us few.............
  9. He said "Because of Brexit" blah blah blah, so a kid from Sudan knows all about Brexit................Your 'story' does read like something out of a novel...A Biggles era one.....????
  10. I had 2 cataracts done at an army hospital here, near where I live, over a month. The first op I went back after a few weeks of the second op to tell the surgeon about a 'grey' patch in my vision, was told all is OK. It got bigger, got in touch with the hospital to see the doc again, told not for a month. Went to a known eye shop in town, she said you do have a detached retina, you must fly down to BKK to get it fixed, there is nowhere nearby with the expertise to do it. That is when I went to BKK and given the info that Khon Kaen now has the tech and will save a lot of money, which I did...
  11. My repair surgeon was at a gov hospital, he is a Professor in the field. His sister is also a Professor in the field at Siph Hospital, BKK..????
  12. I don't care what it cancelled, just get on with getting stuff sorted to stop/remove the spongers....????
  13. How much is a replacement auto trans, turbo, or anything else with an ageing truck, even the cam belt must be changed at 150k or you may a have catastrophe, though they have now solved that, the 2.8 has a chain.....????
  14. Are you saying all BBC folk have the same political Party affiliation..............?
  15. Oh hello, PH, I see you are off-topic again, how tiresome...........
  16. I sold my Vigo auto at 11.5 years old, not worth the expense of 11.5 year old stuff going wrong.....
  17. Firstly, I don't read the Guardian stuff, secondly I avoid more Brexit stuff too, it is here, we get on with it, same as 1945...................????
  18. You do not hang around with a detached retina, if it starts peeling it is like stripping wallpaper.... In 2001 England I was told at my local hospital I had a detached retina, the doctor said, go home, pack a few things and get to St. Thomas's Hospital, London S.A.P, they are expecting you. I was operated on that late night. So, 2 retina probs operated on at night, one in London, one in LOS, no hanging around.
  19. I was warned that the hospital is a nightmare, they were right, I have never seen so many people in one place being ushered around like sheep. I stayed in a hotel to get to the hozzy early, think 7.30, it was packed then. I saw the Prof at I think 4.30pm...????
  20. A bloke I know (74) paid an agent to get his Thai bird (45) to Oz for a holiday, it was rejected, seems all the agent did was fill out the forms their way. He/they tried again, a few months later, paid again but did it themselves, this time she got the visit visa. Their 'plan' is to get her into Oz to work and do the washing up....
