  1. What year Chevy Impala and what V8 cc are you referring too, I mean, some did come with well over 400HP engines, in a car that could not go round corners using it....???? There were over 512,000 MGBs made during its production years, guess how many of those went to the USA.....? Wait for it.......Near 300,000, so I think the USA liked them, except you.???? Can you tell me how many Chevy Impala's were exported to the UK...?
  2. No, the Chinese MG truck is a Maxus T70 with no performance add-ons, very different. The Union Jack and "Brit" on the tailgate is not a performance item, it is a Chinese sales gimmick to sell a 100% Chinese truck.. You'll catch on in the end. ????
  3. You really should read up on the British Motor Corporation/British Leyland controlled and owned before you post. They were not rebadging other companies cars because they all belonged to BMC/BL. ???? They all had the same basic power plant selection, even the sports cars were basically the same engines. There were a couple exceptions though, the Maxi comes to mind, 1500 and 1750cc overhead cam.. Well at least you are learning something today, eh...????
  4. British Leyland put a turbo on the Mini Metro in 1982, it was badged MG, why, because it was a performance version of a basic Metro car. ???? Virtually all BMC/BL car range had an MG option, a tuned up version. BL sports car range were all tuned up basic BL power plants....... MGB MGB GT MGC MGB V8 MG Midget Austin Healey 3000 Austin Healey Sprite etc..
  5. BMC/BL car range that were increased in power via twin carbs etc were badge MG, and I believe Riley and Wolseley. After 1980, you will have to Google that info, but the MG Metro 6R4 was interesting in that period....????
  6. That's because you know nothing about the cars that wore the MG badge, of which a huge number were exported to the USA. ???? Even one of the most iconic cars ever made, the Austin/Morris Mini Cooper would have been badged an MG if it wasn't for John Cooper, though in later years it was adopted to the Mini Metro.....????
  7. I read somewhere that the ZS will have its 1500cc replaced with a 1000cc + turbo, now I am not sure if that's a step forwards or backwards....????
  8. I know you would, even if were badged Chow Ming, but I do wonder why the Maxus T60/70 was never sold here before, only after the "Brit" performance advertising .. ????
  9. Not me, it is the use of a British performance brand name on non-performance rides just to sell their Chinese stuff. I would probably stay quiet if they called your ride a Morris Oxford....????
  10. But, it is an underpowered 1500cc from the start....???? At least the Chinese equivalent Chery has a 1500cc with a turbo that will trounce a ZS..
  11. The MG truck is a 100% Chinese truck with an MG badge on it, but it has a Union Jack and Brit on the tail gate, sadly in the MG tradition, it has nothing added performance wise, just stuff to fool the buyer......????
  12. The MGB was a great car, except it was a rust bucket. But you are talking different era's. The last MGB was produced over 40 years ago, did the Chinese even have cars 40 + years back........????
  13. It says "Brit", now don't be afraid to say it... Would you have bought it it it said "Chow Ming".....???? You inferred folk took no notice of the Brit link, if that is the case, why use it. ????
  14. It is clear you know nothing about MG and its history, you are getting confused with the British Motor Corporation regarding the collapse of all the brands under the BMC control. Spend a bit more time reading on it..????
  15. A bit like Italian some sports cars using American engines eh.... Brough Superior motorcycles using J.A.P engines and another's suspension, worth a fortune now....????
  16. Yes, a bought name and history. Tell me why you think they never offered their rides with a Chinese name and history...?...????
  17. No, Morris Garages used the MG badge for their race cars back then. Morris badge was used for the run a rounds... The Chinese use the MG performance history in their advertising, a rip off...
