My friend restores vintage motorcycles, guess how old some of the tyres are that are still used on the road.....????

My screen had cracked from one side to the other, diagonally. It started as a small crack that took about 3 days to reach the other side. One side of the phone edge started to chip off, I don't know why because I take care of the thing. If you do some Net search you will find the cheap jobbies, then the better quality ones with curved edges which cover the chips, which I have..????

My iPhone 6 plus screen cracked and bits were falling of the edges, went to my local phone shop, they said 350bht, hmmmm, OK. Went back 30 minutes later, wow, looks like new. So how did they do it. They had an incredibly thin tempered glass cover exactly same colour and shape with curved sides that has adhesive on it, it is expertly positioned on the existing screen/phone edges. You cannot see any difference and the screen is incredibly clear with no visible cracks. Highly recommended...

Tyres are made up of compounds, every type/design of tyre is different, go into a multi-story car park where the surface is very smooth, most tyres will make a noise on it.

True, my ol' Volvo V6 developed minor leaks forward and aft with syn, I had to dump it, put semi in with an oil seal 'repair' additive, was OK after that.... Not a good idea to use syn in a high mileage mineral oil application either...

Tread pattern with tyre being pushed sideways as well as forward....

Semi syn is mineral oil with stuff added, yes, semi is cheaper than syn, but the costs we are talking about are minimal for the insurance it provides. If your life is on a budget, then use whatever is the minimum manufacturers' recommendation..

My truck used semi from factory, I used syn and semi over the 11.5 years I owned it....My fun ride used mineral from factory, but I used syn in it as it was slightly modified.........????

I have had a couple of tyres on a Vigo for seven years before I changed them. Michelin gives a six year guaranty on installed tyres, just check the side walls for cracking or blisters...

Indeed, basic mineral oil is usually 5kkm, syn 10/15kkm, depends on a particular ride's recommendations, though I do use syn in my runaround, that doesn't need it, and change it at 10+kkm, I think it is good insurance to lengthen the engines life.
