So the law requiring mandatory retirement does not count? can see a lot more such cases lining up, and the rich and powerful will hang on to their position until they die.
Khunying Jaruvan was hailed as a saint during the days of Taksin's downfall. Looks like she's as bigger meglomanic as Sondhi.

Having a BKK Eye maybe a good idea if they can put up a 3G antenna on top of it too
How about putting antenna on opposing sides. Then 3G could emulate the come go come go come go speed of land-line internet!

<deleted>. What we are seeing today is miles apart from the build up to the 90's bubble. The influx of capital is going into generally mature projects unlike the pre-bubble era when anyone including foreigners could walk in and secure a 40 million baht loan by mortgaging a rai of land 500 km upcountry in Nakorn Nowhere. The bubble started as early as 91/92. In 95 standing on a 15 story building in Sukhumvit you could see over 300 construction cranes building surplus, useless, shopping malls, ridiculous accommodation, massage parlors or just plain phallic symbols to their owners. Some of these white elephants buried entire generations in debt. Stupid is as stupid does!
There is a very different set of fundamentals on the table today.
Sounds like somewhere we know.

Whatever the fundamentals, the danger will be the same when long term obligations are funded by short term debts.
If we end up with the financial sector full of short term instruments then I would agree, however we are nowhere near the 25% of GDP required to service that debt (as was circa '96). This is the tripping point, miles off today. Foregin reserves are not being used to support a floored system as was in place in the 90's.

Most all men know the answer to that. The dick is everything. Read some FREUD and get back to me. I think your line of discussion is just silly, much sillier than the jokes.~snip~
How do these fears differ? Both concern possible death and both would have profound psychological effects that would change and most likely damage a person for life. Only difference is one involves male genitalia and the other doesn't.
Next ...
Breast Cancer and "the Chop". two very different subjects. Breast cancer is brought on by unknown health conditions. As a medical condition brought on within the body there is no second party through which to consider the infidelity and jealousy involved. That ain't the case here. The reasons behind "the Chop" are enough to see a humorous side.

hope this wasn't a TV member......
I don't know of any 19 year old foreigners who have liked up and stayed with a lady 14 years there senior!!! Chances of being a TV member is low!
BTW, I see this scenario quite often. I know of a 22 years old Thai guy with a 57 year old lady, and yes, living together for a couple of years, and a 28 year old guy living with a 54 year old........... sort of screws with my head thinking about it. Both guys do not work. Their partners provide the bacon in both cases.

Thai men should learn to teat us with more respect. Else ... you know what may happen.
You looking for a boyfriend......... Not!

I have many a Muslim friend who got a belly laugh from this too.

Appears Japanese courts rule in favour of the Thai's and the Thai courts rule in favour of the Japanese!!!!!!!!!

I made my own oven and I just used regular cement; it ain't too pretty, but it was the first thing I had made out of bricks.
It makes good pizza, and it has been working for about a year and a half.
Sensational.......... lol

you can ask for Siam Cement "refractory"products. They are distributed country wide but might not be in stock. Take a trusted Thai lieutenant to translate at Home Pro or similar store. They will have access. You don't need farangs to help with this.

Did it recently, but you have to be prepared. If the Labor Department process the visa quickly then it might go through, in my case I was exceptionally well connected. The Labour Dept processed documents within 1 hour. It then left the rest of the seven days allowed once your previous visa is canceled to process the immigration visa. The secret is to have ALL documentation for the new visa ready, the second (and I mean one minute later after work permit canceled) submit all new documentation.

1 post deleted, please play the ball not the man.
Fair enough, but all said and done, if he had a work permit and social security (as governed by Thai law through his employer), then he would not be in this predicament.
The reality is he was likely in the Boiler Rooms. I have lost many good Thai staff (pre-call centers, then leads passed onto the farang telemarketing staff) to these places as Chiangmai is becoming a new hub for them after Philippines appears to be less in favor. If others read this and understand the consequences of working without a work permit, and or working in a less than legitimate business, then maybe we will not see THAILAND shown in such poor light by farangs that seem to think it's Thailand's fault. Thailand has the infrastructure and rules to prevent the above from being a serious financial burden on families whether foreign or Thai.

I have an idea Acharn Nu, based in Nonthaburi does this. His famous farang client is Angelina J. It's the 5 or 7 point tatoo on the back of the left shoulder. You'll have to ask some Thai's for the contact, however, having gone there, it is a nice place that recieves farangs.

Almost twenty years to the day. Was taken out by the towns police chief and headmaster. As the project I was overseeing was a remote upcountry location, no other foreigners had lived there. At about midnight the said police chief got up and left. He drove his pickup 50 meters towards the towns main intersection. Plastered (excessively drunk) as he was, he lost control at the intersection. The pickup spun around 180 degrees out of control and came to rest a meter away from the intersections police box, The on-duty junior officer ran out of the box fearing his life........ Once he realized it was the police chief he straightened up like a light pole and gave the biggest salute to the police chief that I have ever seen!!!
Said police chief drove off(probably to mia noi's house)

English teacher, from milton keynes. married to a charming lady from Chakarat, a small village near Korat (where the picture was taken) The Chap seems very happy with his lot. I didn't ask if the car was in his wife's name... didn't seem appropriate.
Is he teaching English at a Boiler Room. JR

Did anyone seriously expect drivers to respect the BRT lane?
Gotta cry when you think of the stupidity. BKK already has only 8% of it's surface area commited to roads, a far cry from the 20% plus in well laid out cities. The only way to do it is up in the air or underground. Let cars fight it out on the street.

I say the politicians must have got this one sewed up weeks ago. I wonder which room Newin is booked into!!!!!!!

Slippery bugger.
I have always laughed at Thai crimes when they get caught and transported back to the clink. They just sit there resolute to the fact they are caught. As this guy showed, it ain't the same with all nationals.
I love the Thai re-enacting the scene, a bit morbid in some cases, but is a little strange how easily they show how it was done!!

Has it crashed yet?
Will they use it on the aircraft carrier?
<deleted>.............. what a f8king joke this country can be... 55555
PS. None of the harriers are flying now. The carrier is probably earmarked for scuttling in the artificial reef program along with Chinese tanks.

While your all gloating at your funny posts (point of the article was what!), remember the Army run this country. So all the above is irrelevant!
Thailand's TOT To Have 3G Auction By November
in Thailand News
Posted
That's how I understood this. TOT are having an auction of there own to sell their 3G system. Since the auction of 3G to the private sector is conveniently delayed TOT are frothing at the bite to see big dollars rolling in. The only problem are that they are a state enterprise and will manage this no different than every other state enterprise. A few spring to mind: State Railway, Bangkok buses, road construction in general in Thailand, Internet/CAT, or should I just stop here. The private sector should be allowed to run 3G services without these idiots involved.
