Well said Major General .... however I don't think Khun Prayut is too worried about these comics ....
Well if he can't take the heat he should get out of the kitchen.

The old PM really is pi!@ing into the wind here.
Most brass have had fewer education options than they probably would have liked. As a result their 'proper' career options are limited to the low wage sector. By contrast prostitution along the lines of what 'sex tourists' come for offers far greater financial rewards, for relatively short working hours.
So until the government can offer the masses of uneducated girls from rural areas a job that pays 50'000 baht a month or so. He's wasting his time. 300 baht a day or 50'000 a month?

And of those 200'000 Chinese arrivals most of them will have not filled out their arrivals card when they arrive at the immigration window.
Hope immigration has a good supply of pens!

It' not the police filing charges,
It's not the public filing charges,
It's not the courts filing charges,
It's not businesses filing charges,
It's the government!
No one else has an issue, except the NCPO.
Interpret that as you wish.

My thoughts exactly - what he said was hardly a lie and lets be frank about it, a fair number of those tourist have gone on to marry the lady (or man) who made their eyes pop in the first place!

Sounds like the intro to a 3rd rate soap opera with C list actors on Cable TV.
He is a marginally better PM than song-writer I guess.

Yep - A military coup against an elected government and the indefinite delay of elections is a pretty good way to create false perceptions.
Maybe the PM should reflect on how he has created those perceptions. Don't blame others for the mess you have created.

The media publishes photos because a) the public are interested in them and
to highlight the fact they have yet to be brought to justice

The General is playing with the media. The Junta have absolutely no plan whatsoever to give up power, I know this and all these things are playing right into his hand.
For once steve I agree with you.
But if people no longer fear the Junta and protests become bigger, bolder and more vocal..then in the absence of an election the only way forward out of the impasse would be to remove Prayut and his buddies in a coup, and I bet Prayut knows that too.

The other option is to sign a power of attorney and get someone else to do the 90 report for you.
I have not done a 90 report in 8 years - my offices government liaison officer does it for me.
Obviously there needs to be a certain level of trust in this one through

So the PM has been inspired by the US doctrine which has seen the US lose its position, reputation, influence, friends and allies around the world and has seen the US been roundly defeated at the UN. And this is the policy you want to follow?
And Mr PM just because a US general didn't mention the elections, that does not mean the US is not interested in elections. It means a US general, being a general is a military man and he sticks to being a military man..not a politician so he leaves such questions to ...yep politicians (like the one with the funny hair you promised an election to on your one and only visit) .
You should not judge the officers and armies of the world by the same shoddy yard stick you use to judge and justify the actions of your army and its officers.

Your dislike is understandable, but the junta and the inept civil service are doing all the work for him. As bad as he was, he did not have ultimate power and he was elected fairly. The same cannot be said in the next or all future elections with junta appointed MP's. The junta has aligned Mr.T with the average Thai who wants an election. He is most likely involved in some way, but how bad is that given he state of things?
I would hope that Taksin is consigned to the history books in the same way coups would be. If the only choice the electorate have is between military coups following the re-election of Taksin (under the guise of puppet party, it's a poor choice, with little hope for change or progress.
Political change is overdue - but it's just the same old dinosaurs being wheeled out spouting the same old junk, time and time again. A perfect way to disenfranchise in order to keep the young, progressive and inspiring people out of the political machine and maintain the status quo

Don't agree. You really beieve he's not still very active in pushing his agenda and using money to gain power and control?
He absolutely is - but then again what politician isn't - I would guess most politicians are highly ambitious people who seek power, control and a legacy. That is the nature of the beast unfortunately and its attracts like for like. There are very few people who enter politics on truly altruistic grounds.

I think he might actually be screwed. During the day the police seem to have searched his house and among many other animal items, they have turned up 4 rather large and complete elephant tusks.

So let me get this right - To play darts you need a dartboard license...but the license doesn't exist.
I recommend the police go to Toys R Us - Lots of dartboards there there - and openly being sold too!! Lock em up!

The fact she has called the place she is living 'Farangland' shows the mentality of this lady - she doesn't even know where she is living. Its like me calling Thailand 'Asialand'- seriously i'd be locked up for being so dumb.

Quite hard to prove your innocence if you are dead though, isn't it?
I would be delighted to be proved to be wrong, if you would show, by means of a practical demonstration how your innocence could be proven by yourself, once you are dead. You up for it??

Anybody who invested in mines in 3rd world countries knows 100% they remain in the business by avoiding environmental impact studies and closure in the way of astronomical sized brown envelopes.
The PM knocked that corruption on the head like he has been constantly doing for years now
The mine will reopen its suspended not stolen but the goal posts for Kingsgate will have taken a adjustment
Good move!Actually it was the PMs use of article 44 which is the entire reason for the problems, he sidestepped legal process as it was length and inconvenient. The outcome is now very likely to be high compensation cost incurred by the Kingdom of Thailand as a result of the PM impatience or poor advisement, or more likely both!
Arbitration is most likely to favour Kingsgate and their requests.
No goal posts have been moved. In fact they remain in exactly the same place as part of the Thai / Australia FTA, which is why this foreign entity can challenge the use of article 44, and potentially over turn it...but regular Thais can't.
Strange old world eh?
