A man met a beautiful blonde lady and decided he wanted to marry her right away.
She said, 'But we don't know anything about each other.'
He said, 'That's all right, we'll learn about each other as we go along.'
So she consented, they were married, and off they went on a honeymoon at a very nice resort.
One morning they were lying by the pool, when he got up off of his towel, climbed up to the 10 meter board and did a two and a half tuck, followed by three rotations in the pike position, at which point he straightened out and cut the water like a knife.
After a few more demonstrations, he came back and lay down on the towel.
She said, 'That was incredible!'
He said, 'I used to be an Olympic diving champion. You see, I told you we'd learn more about each other as we went along.'
So she got up, jumped in the pool and started doing lengths.
After seventy -five lengths she climbed out of the pool, lay down on her towel and was hardly out of breath.
He said, 'That was incredible! Were you an Olympic endurance swimmer?'
'No,' she said, 'I was a prostitute in Memphis but I worked both sides of the Mississippi.

200 dollar oil may decrease the number of plastic bags floating around. 1 ton of plastic requires 16+- bbl of oil.
Hmm 7/11 could help here by not giving out so many plastic bags!, and also straws

If you want emails to come straight to your phone without you having to keep checking (Push email), get a Blackberry. I believe you can get one in Thailand for about 30k but not sure as never seen one here in Phuket. I've been told they are much cheaper somewhere like Singapore. Blackberrys do Push email very well and has a qwerty keypad which makes typing emails a lot easier. Everyone i've met who has one swears by them and can't do without their Blackberry.
Being a cheap skate and not being able to find a shop selling Blackberrys in Phuket, i opted for a Nokia E61i which also has a qwerty keypad. It supports Push email using either Blackberry's own Blackberry Connect application, or an application from Nokia which i haven't looked into yet. AIS charges around 800 baht/month to use Blackberry Connect push email. Not sure if its easy to set up a gmail account to use BB Connect though.
I haven't subscribed yet and am currently checking and replying to my emails using a Java app from Google to access my personal gmail account, as well as a separate app (Mail by Google) to access my google apps email. This uses the IMAP protocol and is working quite well, although i have to check for new mails each time.
To avoid having to check yourself, u can configure your phone to retrieve mail at regular intervals using the POP protocol as 2008bangkok has mentioned. if u do this you probably want to be on a data plan and pay monthly. I use AIS who charge 350 baht for 100 hours, or 900 something for unlimited. I imagine Dtac has something similar.
ps. i'm using my nokia e61i for web browsing and its pretty good for light web browsing. Web browsing on the Iphone is much better but the Iphone lacks a lot of functions which are vital for business use. Looking forward to seeing the new Iphone though.
I agree, i own a blackberry, and cannot live without it
Go with true, and it will only cost 850THB a month for unlimited GPRS.
they seem to do a special offer in MBK on the old model for 4500 THB...

better to apply, as having a Thai Licence when you have an accident helps alot!, esspecially when it is not your fault

Max height of 12 metres, if you are sent back from the beach.
All areas of Samui are different, depends on what the Zoning Law is where you intend to build
-
all beaches in Thailand are public, there are no ' Private Beaches ', the only time it could be private is where there is no access to the beach apart from the owners land...
-
you are looking at around 350 Million THB a Rai, if directly on the road
-
so you are only planning to stay in the job for a month and a half?
be careful, as some employers may not pay you at all!
-
try looking into inside trading IE new companies that are about to float with intersting products!
or wait till there is another market crash in Thailand, then buy
-
i take it the shop must be owned by an indivdual and not a corporate company?
what where you buying?
-
i think most people do the note thing... the rest is individual.

If you get your mail in your home country forwarded regularly to Thailand by someone, try sending them your address written in both Thai and English on sticky labels. Or send them it as a .jpg or Word file, if they can print it onto such labels.
not a bad Idea, will try this

Australian accused of pushing Thai wife out of window in Singapore
SINGAPORE: -- An Australian man was charged in a Singapore court with attempted murder in pushing his Thai wife out of a fourth-floor window, news reports said on Wednesday.
If it weren't in Singapore, but in Thailand, and if it wasn't the wife, but the farang husband who was pushed, how would the police/courts call it then - attempted suicide?
i was just thinking the same
