  1. You make a good point, this award is about as pointless as awarding the best volcanoes or mountains in the world. They exist naturally despite the people who live near them.
  2. Pfizer has replaced it completely, in the UK too - they stopped using it long ago.
  3. This is an interesting development, I did my TE 1 year extension in November (I think) and there was no photo. I hear the Elite visa is popular with the Chinese, there's been a lot of talk about them abusing visas - I have to wonder if this is why the photo requirement has now appeared and why they're doing it. I wonder if it's to combat passport sharing among overstayers.
  4. I'm tending to not believe a single word the murder gang say, there's a shiny bullet waiting for each of them in China anyway. They will have their day in the sports stadium one day soon.
  5. No, I don't sell in Thailand at all and when I buy it's from an exchange.
  6. No, but it does appear to be a lie. The woman owed money and wanted to borrow more according to another poster who got a Thai translation of the article. So he was murdered for not lending more money, perhaps just a few thousand Baht to someone who doesn't repay their debts. Every word they said was a lie, I have previously found that when someone lands in a 'bit of a pickle', like when they've been caught murdering someone they have a tendency to lie. Clearer for you now?
  7. I have an account with UpBit Thailand in Thailand, works well and I linked it to my bank account for withdrawals / deposits which makes the entire process very quick. You could request come cash from UpBit, confirm the payment, buy some crypto and withdraw it all within a few minutes - they do take a little while to confirm the withdrawal. I almost never sell any crypto, only buy in Thailand.
  8. Me either, the whole thing stinks of lies. I wonder how many other people they kidnapped before this one went wrong?
  9. Yep, I can believe this 100% and they will have the flight arrival data and CCTV to prove it as well. Blaming the tourist seems to be the first and last step in any solution to a problem here. I bet they kick her out and blacklist her to make this story go away. I wonder what happened to the other Dutch dude who got arrested for the same thing? I also wonder how many others are out there with missing stamps in their passport blissfully unaware of what awaits them when they turn up at the airport to go home....
  10. I wonder how much the salary was, I kind of need to know to understand the motive here.
  11. I must have missed the part where they explain the real motive, what exactly was it again if not to get the money?
  12. Wow, so the country isn't overrun with Chinese gangsters, just a bunch of friends helping out their buddy with a heinous murder for no reason at all ????
  13. Interesting, what kind of proof do they deem acceptable? Are you supposed to have someone following you around making video? This insurance sounds like it's not worth the paper it's written on - I wonder which insurance company it is?
  14. Unless the 'hacker' is lying then the information is already in the wild. There's no way of knowing how many people he already sold the information to and these types are not to be trusted, ever.
  15. Yes it was better, 90 days would have been even better. I guess they got the high season out the way now they don't care at all. The money is flowing into all the right peoples wallets and all is well, so why not make things a little bit harder for the average tourist and make them pay that 1900 Baht if they want to stay a little longer.
  16. For sure, I'm very surprised they went to China and will be even more surprised if they're still there.
  17. To much truth in one post. There's a lot of truth getting out recently but the gatekeepers are very active Topic unfollowed.
  18. The victims were acting in self defence yet you would deport them. I would like to argue instead, that you should be deported
  19. Yes, it's useful when you're using a language you don't use all the time, it's quicker than reading the reference guides or going to a various stackoverflow / stackexchange type pages to get an example of what you want. I took out a subscription to it as I do find it useful at times.
