YouTube Picture-In-Picture on iPhone/iPad?

It is quite simple. You hold a British passport You are a citizen of a European economic area (EEA*) country You have worked for the UK government at any time during that tax year If your spouse doesn’t qualify as one as one of these then she must pay income tax on all money received. There are very few pensions that don’t have this requirement they are not usual and very special.
-
You are correct that your statement is totally incorrect and completely bogus. Some pension are paid without tax being deducted at source. That is not tax deferred. U.K. Tax liability attaches to almost all income that originates in the U.K. the state pension and many, or even most U.K. pensions fall into that category. If your income from U.K. pensions (and any other U.K. sources) exceeds the U.K. personal allowance you must pay tax to HMRC. Depending on where you live you may have a duty to declare and pay local tax on your U.K. (as well as other) income. The U.K. has a number of dual taxation agreements that allow off setting U.K. tax paid against local tax due. The U.K. Thailand DT treaty is very limited. Thai tax law is rather different from U.K. tax law and you should draw no inferences between them. you are clearly not a tax expert and would do a poor job playing one on TV. ????

So you are agreeing with my statement! all U.K. income is taxable. if you hold a U.K. passport (various others also get this) then the first £12,570 in the tax year 2022/23 is rated a zero. Any amount paid from the U.K. (some specific exceptions exist) is taxable. If you are non resident income from outside the U.K. is not taxable in the U.K. So if your sole income is from the U.K. you gain nothing as far as U.K. tax is concerned by becoming non resident. If you have income from outside the U.K. and you structure your income wisely it can be legally tax free.

Just a FWIW. The London Thai embassy does not list the multi entry Non-O visa on the website. However they still issue them. I know of a recent case of one being issued with no special treatment. So it is perfectly possible that the German Thai embassy will also issue that visa. If @stocchi can get the ME Non-O that is his best option

The benefit of being nonresident for U.K. tax only really exist if you are earning income from outside the U.K. If your sole income is from U.K. pensions becoming non U.K. tax resident makes no difference as the pensions are still taxable in the U.K. as they are U.K. income. If you want to try to evade paying tax (in my opinion an extremely poor choice in the long term) that is something I will not give any help with.

Incorrect information. It is a little more complex than that. Incorrect information, just go down to the local area tax office (you will need a Thai speaker) you can get a taxi ID. If you have a bank savings account you are already paying tax and can get it back. Live in Thailand for more than 180/190 days and you are automatically tax resistant. But you can be tax resident in more than 1 country. Also it is extremely likely that you must declare your U.K. pension income on your Thai tax return if you get HMRC to accept that you are non tax resident in the U.K. and that your state pension is exempt from U.K. tax. How to get HMRC is quite easy https://www.gov.uk/tax-right-retire-abroad-return-to-uk But your other pension providers have no compulsion to pay your pension like that so they will probably be treated as U.K. income for tax purposes. I have seen no information that the U.K. state pension can be excluded from your U.K. income. AFIK How or where the pension is paid is irrelevant as far a liability for U.K. tax is concerned you need a U.K. taxation specialist to advise you

Samsung Tab A, glass broken
sometimewoodworker replied to THAIPHUKET's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
Both central Plazas in my nearest cities have repair techs who can replace the displays. I can’t give you prices as every phone and tablet is different and I haven’t checked on Android devices. One warning, a cheaper price usually means a lower quality display not a better deal. -
a bit earlier than that with a 6502 CPU, a 300/75 modem that used the phone handset as rj45 plugs were rare, a cassette tape as storage and 8k EPROMs for programs if you were advanced

Metal vs plastic electric wall boxes
sometimewoodworker replied to OneMoreFarang's topic in The Electrical Forum
On a slightly more serious note as long as (where needed) the colours are consistent it’s perfectly OK. I have a lighting setup were there are 3 different circuits running side by side (fake dimming) so to make troubleshooting easy neutral is common and white and the circuits lines are red yellow and blue. With 1mm square wire and being 3.8 metres up it’s no problem -

No no no, Thailand electricity will get confused and not understand which colour it should go down ???? -
So it’s not a Torx but a socket cap. There are quite a few non metric sizes and if you have a tight fastener the wrong size is quite capable of rounding the socket. I probably have the correct size as I have virtually every one of the smaller sizes, but, sorry, you need to be here ????

Best Hardware store chain in Thailand?

There is none. Different stores have different products that are goo at any one time. You may find that the items you want are only available in 1 of the 5 or so big ones -
Metal vs plastic electric wall boxes

Mounted inside or outside is immaterial it’s the correct method of mounting that is relevant, the point is that done correctly it takes time. -

Unless you have actually seen the qualifications that situation is as rare a hen’s teeth here. There are vanishing few actual electricians working in house building. No, as I haven’t read the Thai electrical code, however it’s extremely likely that they are going from the codes that it is based on. The incentive is that it’s vastly easier and faster to use plastic conduit, so if they are charging on a piece rate as every electrician I’ve employed, both licensed and unlicensed, does that seems like a rather large financial incentive. these are correctly mounted metal conduits, I can be sure that they took more than 4 times longer to install than plastic would have done yes @Crossy has the links to buy it -
