Good news. The sentence was obscenely harsh for hiring prostitutes, some of which later turned out to be underage. It was a warning to keep her mouth shut about who she was actually hiring them for. 5 years would have been more appropriate. She's already served that. A pardon would be sensible. I suspect she will serve the rest of her sentence in relative luxury in exchange for silence about the clients on BOTH sides.

The guilty verdict was the easy part. There was too much footage for anything else and it was a jury rather than a member of the 2 tier "justice" system who decided that. Well done to the jury. Bringing charges in the first place was the second most difficult part. They desperately wanted it to just go away and they hung on for as long as they could. We have to offer Nigel Farage huge thanks for holding their feet to the fire on this and forcing them to eventually bring charges by threatening to do it himself. The most difficult part will be the sentencing. The judge will be very reluctant to impose an appropriately long sentence. Fortunately, this has blown up into such a huge story now that he may have no choice. Let's hope so. At least the racist 2 tier sentencing guidelines will not give him an out. For now.

This is an excellent point. There have been a few women's footballers who have made some ridiculous statements. Megan Rapinoe and Eni Aluko spring to mind. They also come across as quite entitled, especially Rapinoe. Not great PR for one of the biggest names in the women's game to be a stupid, anti American, Blue haired entitled brat.
