House GOP unveils $14.3 billion Israel aid package
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
No surprise that The Democrats object to this. Balancing the books has never been their forte. In their mind they can just spend, spend and spend some more. Just pluck more money from the magic money tree. Thank goodness the Republicans won back control of the house in 2022. -
Wishful thinking. More likely Biden sits himself down somewhere and the Dems get someone who can walk and talk properly.

House elects Mike Johnson as Speaker, ending GOP chaos

Wrong again. Been to Vegas many times. Marvellous place. The fact that Congress sets the budget does not excuse Biden for the way his administration spends it. Yes I saw the thread. Did you see the link I posted? https://www.defense.gov/News/Releases/Release/Article/3569812/biden-administration-announces-additional-security-assistance-for-ukraine/#:~:text=Today%2C the Department of Defense, for Ukraine since August 2021. -

It's never his fault, is it? 😆 Your assumptions are once again wide of the mark. Yes, Congress sets the budget. The Biden administration decides exactly where it is spent. https://www.defense.gov/News/Releases/Release/Article/3569812/biden-administration-announces-additional-security-assistance-for-ukraine/#:~:text=Today%2C the Department of Defense, for Ukraine since August 2021. -
Well, the murder was virtually identical. In terms of the release of images, the Thai police had a responsibility to ensure that those crime scene photos were not released. Do you think those photos would have been released if the victim was a member of a prominent Thai family? It was a disgrace and ultimately the government was responsible for the behaviour of the RTP. But when a Thai is the victim they expect the images to remain hidden. They expect respect to be shown. A classic Thai double standard.

Indeed. I would concur that Trump laid the foundations for a speedy recovery. It's a shame that Biden seems intent on spending much of it funding overseas conflicts but you can't win 'em all. -
Why do I ask? I'm hoping she returns to the fold to create more havoc for Labour. It's always fascinating when someone of her ilk takes centre stage because she lacks the ability to stop her virtue mask from slipping and the true beliefs of Labour are exposed for all to see (as with her anti-semitic comments comparing Jews to Ginger people). It's highly entertaining. 😃 Plus the Tories need some help and she could be just the woman to provide it. Although Labour have plenty more gems like Rayner, Lammy, Phillips, Thornberry up their sleeve. All accidents waiting to happen. Come back Diane. We misss youuuuuuuu.... xxx

You mean when Covid struck? 😆 -
12 months should be plenty of time for Labour to screw it up. Again. Now, where's Diane Abbott? Get her back pronto. I'm sure she'll have some wonderful, insightful observations about the current wave of anti-semitism. https://news.sky.com/story/diane-abbott-accused-of-hateful-antisemitism-after-suggesting-jews-do-not-face-racism-12864141

You finally admitted he was a Democrat after Emdog claimed it was a lame accusation and I exposed that statement for all to see. I don't frequently spill my coffee hence no meds are required. I prefer exercise and a healthy diet. If you're in Bangkok you are more than welcome to join me for an early morning run.

I can only speak for myself. As a somewhat lefty Uni student (left wing views back then would probably be described as right wing now) who voted Labour in 97 I was disgusted by Blair. I remember talking to friends in the pub in disbelief that he would team up with the US to invade. That was before I knew WMD was a lie. I mean I suspected it was but I didnt know for sure. I voted Labour to help poor working class Brits. Not to invade Iraq with Bush. I firmly believe Blair is evil. A black soul. And I was one that was fooled by him, albeit as a naive young adult.

Speaker Johnson sees ‘cognitive decline’ in Biden: ‘It’s just reality’
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Democrats know he is in decline as well. He is not Trump, that's all that matters. They'd vote for Kermit the frog to keep Trump out. Ironically Kermit would do a better job. -

Just speaking the truth. Not a popular thing to do in 2023 but everyone can see it. -
You shouldn't keep skipping your meds. I either criticize him or defend him, depending on the incident. Unlike you I have no obsession with the guy so I make my judgements based on his behaviour, not simply by the fact he is Trump. It's called objectivity, you should google it to find the meaning and then maybe give it a go.

He's not my boy, I think Trump is an idiot. However, I know bias when I see it and I call it how I see it. The justice legal system is being weaponized by the Democrats for political gain and it's not a good look for a country that claims to be the gold standard for justice, liberty etc. These things make the place look like a banana republic.
