  1. That will buff out ????. From the translation it sounds like maybe the accelerator stuck so the driver applied the handbrake. Car still in gear and trying to accelerate with the handbrake on? Sounds like a recipe for heat, friction and a fire. Maybe turning the engine off would have been prudent?
  2. But the Australian politicians weren't going to acquire fabulous personal wealth from the deal so they were happy to walk away. Plus they got to irriate the hell out of Macron, and who could resist that? No way Thai politicians (or should I say Generals) are going to walk away from this deal. They wouldn't care if the subs have engines from a 30 year old Honda wave as long as they collect the coin that such a deal generates for them and their cronies. It's not like they're going to use the subs anyway, the water is too shallow. I predict a solution will be found with the CCP and the Thai Generals will acquire yet more incredible, generational wealth from this deal.
  3. The Academy ; Hey Will, the Oscars audience is down so we want you to ruin the best night of your career and overshadow your Oscar win by slapping another black guy on stage. We're going to get someone to insult your wife about her medical condition in front of millions of people and then you can bitchslap him. Everyone is going to criticize you, it's going to be a really bad look for the black community and you'll be reminded for weeks about your cheating wife's ways, your disfunctional family and your celebrity privilige. Your wife will be labelled a manipulative narcissist. People will call you a fake, call for the award to be cancelled, you'll have to resign from the academy with a grovelling apology and your career will no doubt suffer as a result. Will ; Sounds like a great idea. No such thing as bad publicity right. Seriously, how anyone can think this is fake is beyond me. Are people that oblivious to what is fake and what is real?
  4. I don't believe anything this "government" says. No Coup, I won't be PM, it will only be for 6 months, free and fair elections, covid figures, Cannabis legality. The list goes on. Bunch of charlatans.
  5. Yes it actually happened. She had an affair with her son's friend August Alsina and then admitted it and basically blamed it on him on a show called "Red Table Talk", watched by millions. So understandably he has some pent up anger issues having been humiliated and cucked in front of the nation. However, slapping a comedian at The Oscars probably wasn't the smartest way to try to regain his pride and masculinity. If I was him I would have dumped her and got a smokin' hot chick in her 20's instead. One with a full head of hair and a huge rack. But each to their own.
  6. I wonder what would have happened if one of the waiters serving the celebs had invaded the stage and done that? Would he have been allowed to simply continue on with his night's work? No charges? Nah, he'd have been thrown to the ground, roughed up and thrown in the back of a police car pronto. Makes a mockery of all this white privilige nonsense. The true privilige in America comes with wealth and celebrity and last night's events proved that. Good to see that Smith apologized. He's clearly on the edge mentally due to his dysfunctional family situation and hopefully he gets some help. It's amazing how he's ended up a cuckold like that. Sad stuff. As for the "I'd have done the same thing, good on him" remarks, you have to look at the context. If someone said that to a stranger in a pub then yes you could understand the reaction. But you're watching a comedy skit at an awards ceremony. The presenters make fun of the attendees every year. It's part of the show, you know what you're getting into. If you're mentally too fragile to take a few jibes in that context, stay at home. It seems Smith's ego is too big to stay home, and too fragile to attend.
  7. Why didn't they just come out and say "Pita may have an unfortunate accident in the next 28 days, or he may just disappear, or get very sick, or decide to retire from politics."? Or would that have been too obvious?
  8. Don't underestimate the West. Our economies may be struggling and we may depend on others for food, power and goods. But we've got the Pronouns for every situation. We've got BLM. We've got identity politics and we've got politicians who cannot define what a woman is. A heady mix to take us forward.
  9. Why would you do that act? Make yourself look like a complete tool before the highlight of your entire career? What would he have gained from that? It's not like the audience thought it was brilliant and all laughed at the in joke. Maybe the most awkward Oscars moment ever. For what? Nobody is talking about the award now. Just the slap. What a genius move. Detract from your career highlight with a staged assault and subsequent meltdown while reminding everyone about your wife's infidelity. Don't give up the day job for a career in PR Mick.
  10. Totally agree. He's been humiliated publicly by his own wife and various other comedians. Completely emasculated on the world stage. Chris Rock was just the unfortunate one in the way when the straw broke the camel's back. Now the highlight of his career, the Oscar, will be remembered for this. Very sad. I used to be a big fan back in the days of Fresh Prince, Summertime, Jazzy Jeff etc. The dangers of marrying and staying with the wrong woman I guess.
  11. That 'slap' would have KO'd 90% of forum members. Their wigs would have been pushed right back. Shaken to their sandals ????. Watch again. Smith was close to tears of anger as he sat down and yelled expletives at Rock. That was real. 100%.
  12. It's hilarious watching the mainstream media trying to navigate their way through this. Wealthy black man assaults another wealthy black man due to his tasteless joke about wealthy black woman. Hmmmm. That's tough. 50/50? Charges won't be brought. Smith is fabulously rich and famous. He is handsome and black. A celebrity in tinseltown. There would probably be riots if the LAPD tried to arrest him. He can slap who he wants when he wants. The very definition of privilege. Having said that, given the state of his wife and kids, I can sympathise. I'd have anger issues too if my wife shagged my son's best mate and then announced it on national TV. He reminds me of Harry. Ruined and humiliated by a poor choice of woman.
  13. Nothing to do with arrogance. The Thai leaders will make more personal gain by dealing with China than dealing with the West. They both do business the same way, corruptly. Prayut aspires to be "leader for life" like Xi. They both have disdain for human rights and Democracy. They're like 2 peas in a pod. At his point, Thailand (under the current regime) choosing China over the West is a compliment to The West.
  14. Fortunately for Will, he is black. So 5 minutes later he was winning an Oscar for Best Actor. The audience looked on adoringly. Applause all round. That's real privilige.
  15. So, just a few 'negotiations' pending regarding who gets paid what to allow another monopoly to proceed. It must be very profitable being a Thai regulator.
  16. It was an F15 last week. The fields of Issan are becoming a dangerous place with the incompetent police and military playing with their toys (purchased from more advanced countries) above the farms of the peasants. It would appear they fly as well as they drive.
  17. Even with no experience she would be better than the current posse of thugs and charlatans.
  18. Even Caitlyn Jenner has come out and said its unfair. I guess she can now be labelled a far right bigoted transphobe. No doubt racist too lol. The left need to focus on winning arguments instead of throwing out lazy insults.
  19. Hey muppets. Debate the law. Then legislate. Then enforce. It's not that difficult. More advanced countries have been doing it for centuries. Just copy us again and pretend "certain people" invented it if it makes you feel better about yourselves.
  20. It's nothing to do with left wing and right wing. Nothing to do with Bigotry and Intolerance. This is about scientific fact, Human Biology and fundamental fairness in sport. Biological men are stronger than biological women. What is it going to take for people to acknowledge such a simple statement of truth? Maybe when they see a biological man beating a biological woman into unconsciousness in a boxing ring the penny will finally drop? Maybe then they will acknowledge that it is not fair to a biological woman to have to compete in sport against a biological man, no matter how that biological man "feels inside"? The longer this continues, the more trans women will start competing in women's sport and obliterating the opposition with huge margins of victory like Lia Thomas did. Women's sport is fantastic, why ruin it to appease a tiny minority of people who have an unfair advantage over their competitors?
  21. Allowing individuals born male to compete against females is grossly unfair to females. If this continues it will destroy women's sport. Trans Women should be respected 100%. But if they wish to compete in sport they should compete against other biological males. Since scientifically that is what they are. The only solution I can see is a third category for trans. Or maybe create a new category for women who were born women and allow the current "women's" group to continue to be open to trans women and biological women. Let biological women choose which category they wish to compete in. See how that pans out. Destroying women's sport for a small minority of trans people is grossly unfair and in my opinion, deeply misogynistic. It's funny how the people telling us to follow "The Science" for 2 years are now completely ignoring it.
  22. I firmly believe that many of the people that were vaccinated with Sinovac during the first round will now have minimal protection. The authorities are blaming their poor decisions on the populace. Are these Sinovaxed people rushing to get vaccinated again? Probably not. Even people who have been vaccinated with the better vaccines catch it and can have quite bad symptoms. In the company I work for everyone has been triple vaxxed and we still get around 10 positive cases per week. Mask compliance has been very high in Thailand as well. Stop blaming the people, most people have done pretty much everything asked of them.
  23. Sometimes when you know nothing about someone's situation, it's best to keep quiet and not embarrass yourself ????. We have a farm near Korat and the dogs live on the farm. 4 of them we rescued (in very poor condition) from the streets, we took them in, fed them, vaccinated them, spayed them. They never leave the farm and they don't bother anyone who doesn't enter the farm. If taking in starving strays, vaccinating and spaying them and giving them 2 quality meals a day and a very pleasant life snoozing in the shade on a farm is irresponsible, then I guess I am guilty as charged ????. As you can see, it's a terrible environment for dogs to live.
