  1. "Move the Country Forward". You've answered your own question there buddy. Align with MFP or your sacrifice will be to face complete obliteration of Phue-Thai. The party would never recover from aligning with the Junta. It would be Game Over.
  2. Musk does seem to make some strange decisions when it comes to Twitter. I'm not sure why you would change such a recognizable logo/brand. Maybe he's just joking, you never know with Musk. As long as it remains a free speech platform it will continue to be used by people who value said freedom of speech. It's an increasingly rare commodity in these times of Woke/Cancel culture.
  3. In my experience it is only foreigners who need the money in the bank to cover the card. I don't think it applies now as I have 2 KTC credit cards in my name with no associated KTB bank account (although it was applied for through my employer's HR department so that might be the reason). A few years ago it was double the limit of the card that had to be held in a bank account (this was with Bangkok Bank). This policy does not appear to apply to Thai nationals. Hence the huge debts.
  4. Rishi Sunak (or Rashid Sanook as Joe calls him) has much more important issues to deal with. He has no time to listen to the decrepid old man across the pond. There will be no 'special relationship' while Biden is in power.
  5. Wow - the problems are certainly piling up for Joe and Hunter. The Dems are going to need some pretty big shovels if they're going to bury all of this until the next election. At least they have experience, they'll know to dig the hole a bit deeper than they did last time with the laptop.
  6. Joe Biden needs to stay out of UK affairs. The British run our own country and we certainly don't answer to Biden. If he's that worried about this guy, he can send a plane over to come and collect him and bring him to the US. Whenever you're ready, Joe.
  7. No surprise here. The US continues it's decline towards banana republic status under the Biden regime. It's genuinely sad to see.
  8. Well from where I'm sitting it certainly appears that you lack one ????.
  9. As an Englishman with a sense of humour I would love to see that happen. It would be absolutely hilarious. Side splittingly hilarious. For decades… Please, take this idea further.
  10. Of course. That's why the charges were brought. The fact that he will likely be exonerated after the election will not matter if Biden has already won. Same as Hunter's laptop, as long as the truth remained buried until after the election it was job done as far as the Democrats were concerned. Politically motivated. Dirty, but often effective. If Biden is re-elected the USA will be the ultimate loser.
  11. We were talking about justice for the business owners who had their businesses torched by the BLM rioters.
  12. While I think Pita should have sorted out the issue with the shares, it really wouldn't have made any difference. They'd have found or created some other reason to ban him, and failing that the tanks would have rolled onto the streets once again. I do feel that Pita has given them an easy path though. Let's see what happens. This could get messy.
  13. A good decision. The sentence will hopefully quell riots from the usual violent demographic and it runs concurrently so it's not significant to the defendant. The original sentence was appropriate. As for justice for the business owners? No chance. Hard working Americans are considered secondary to violent, drug taking criminals like Floyd.
  14. Revenge politics. This is not about equality. It's about revenge. BLM is a great example. Sure to end well. I mean, what could go wrong ?
  15. Disgraceful behaviour from the monk. If the dog was a problem, he should have dealt with it in keeping with Buddhist precepts. He should be defrocked immediately - before he abuses his authority to do even worse things (assuming he hasn't already).
  16. A Sarong isn't a dress. You could argue it is a skirt (although it's not, it's actually a wrap) but even then, the Indian and Malay males (and some Issan Thai males) that wear them aren't pretending to be women (which was they key point of the argument that you conveniently ignored). I have no issue in referring to a transwoman as "she" if it makes them happy (I have no desire to insult, demean or belittle them). I will happily call them Jospehina instead of Joseph. But as someone who respects science it would be dishonest of me to say they are women when I know they are biologically male. I prefer the correct term, transwoman or if speaking Thai, Katoey.
  17. Maybe he could offer up a prolific arms trader nicknamed the Merchant Of Death in exchange like he did with Britney Griner?
  18. Absolutely true. But that's because the student knows that a Thai teacher would be backed up by the school director and they'd be in big trouble. If the actions against the black teacher were reported to the directors they'd probably have a good laugh about it and make a racist comment of their own. That's the problem when the racism runs all the way through the system, right up to the likes of Anutin.
  19. The worst bits of US and the UK culture always seem to filter through to Australia eventually. Normally it takes a couple of decades but in this case it seems to have been quicker. Prepare for race relations to get a whole lot worse when these type of policies spring up. Different rules/systems based on race/heritage never ends well. I also wonder how the "selection" of this body will work. Elections where only certain Demographics can vote? Or "selected" behind closed doors? Doesn't sound very Democratic to me. What next? An Asian body to advise the government on issues affecting Asian Australians? If not, why not? How about a separate body for each race/religion/background. That should really drive the wedge between everyone. Nah, not for me. Better to treat all disadvantaged groups the same, no matter the race or heritage.
  20. I'm talking about the real, guttural reaction from the crowd. Not some carefully scripted PR statement after the event for damage limitation.
  21. Trans exclusionary radical feminist. Basically a code word for traditional feminists that believe in women's rights.
  22. Unfortunately we run the risk of violence when we refuse to pretend. Here is a trans activist encouraging people to "punch a TERF in the f*****g face". Now if he was booed or even met with awkward silence that would be one thing. But the most disturbing part is the cheers from the crowd.
  23. I've done thousands of kms on plugs, including high speeds on large sports bikes. Never an issue. I also tried to remove a plug on an old tyre after it was replaced. No way that sucker was coming out. I'd say you have a much higher chance of getting a new puncture on a separate section of the tyre than an existing plug failing. Of course, the tyre companies will tell you they are temporary, better to buy a new tyre ASAP etc.
  24. Every cop 'directing traffic' just seems to be waving me along to go faster. "Hurry up!!!" is the cry... Which is particularly annoying when I am 50cm from the car in front, travelling at walking pace or slower.
