  1. From another AN thread: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From the US embassy re: Thai Post Office Dear ..., With the current mailing limitations of Thailand Post, you are able to instead mail the completed and signed SSA-7162 form directly to the Social Security Administration office in Manila, Philippines at the address below.     Social Security Administration U.S. Embassy – Manila Attention: FEQ 1201 Roxas Boulevard, Ermita Manila, Philippines 0930 We advise using a trackable courier service (FedEx, DHL, UPS, etc,) so you can check the status of the package instantaneously. Please be advised that the Social Security Administration office does not accept electronic or faxed forms. Please note that this is a temporary procedure only during Thailand Post mailing disruptions. Forms should be mailed to the standard mailing address / PO box once the mailing system resumes service. Regards, American Citizens Services │U.S. Embassy Bangkok 95 Witthayu Road, Lumphini, Bangkok 10330, Thailand 02-205-4000 (Thailand) │+1-202-640-2632 (USA) │ +66-2-205-4000 (International) Website: https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/ https://lightmailer.mail.com/inline/1756283629861877282/MGI1ZDUyMjYtNDBmNi00MGU3LTlmNzEtNmVhYTgzOWFjZDc5 SP-RCS
  2. Some indication of last year in Nan vs just a few weeks ago. Last year my truck was safe.... not so fortunate this year.
  3. Why not? I plan to contact them letting them know the tardiness of the forms arriving without any announcement as well as the current mailing situation. I will be cordial with them as always and again express the need and desire to have the 7162 process online.
  4. Just like what Thailand did with their great cannabis laws when it was legalized.....right?
  5. Got mine today so obviously it didn't get swept down the Nan River like my poor truck nearly did. (Dated July 31st) Now the question is, do I send it back by Pony Express or Homing Pigeon? ..... suggestions? Note: unable to rotate the pic for some reason 🤔
  6. Hang Dong area has always been an issue.... First one needs to know what area... A1..A2...A3...B1...B2...C1...so on.... then what Soi.... it's a maze in there until you actually live there.
  7. Source? "The SSA will let us know...." Sounds like it didn't come from the SSA.....so more BS fear mongering...
  8. I'm guessing it has the July 31st date like all the others?
  9. Too funny... gee, you can't make this crap up.... The FBU gave folks an opportunity to meet with them in CM last month but apparently too many were PAM on this forum and neglected to go. NOTE: I have yet to receive my form and not overly concerned at the moment. I reside in Nan and with all the recent flooding as well as a recent holiday I can truly understand why the mail is late. Fingers crossed that it isn't floating down the Nan river. Regardless, I can surely survive for months without my SS. If halted I will just go through the relentless process of getting it reinstated. Not stressed...not losing sleep or appetite....just patiently waiting
  10. I trust the US Postal Service about as much as Thailand's. If I were to fly back I would hand carry it back, personally deliver it, and watch them tick that little box on their computer saying I'm alive.. 😀😃🙂🙃😊
  11. It's embarrassing that none of the so called educated ones who like to ramble on with how much they know, didn't create a new thread. Something like: What's the best way to send your 7162 back to the USA?
  12. Ain't you gotcha sum good schooling now? I worked with PhDs over the years and most could barely dress themselves....but they sure could write and publish numerous White papers as well sumbit/acquire many patents.
  13. Oh wow, here comes the fear mongering posts from nearly 3 years ago.... and Mr Renowned smarter than all, what does the statistics say about who had past problems with delivery?
  14. Are you even reading the posts in this thread? It appears nobody received them in June this year....or July!
  15. If I recall wasn't there a forum member here that is a representative for BKK Bank?
  16. Awesome....and much as I expected. Let's now see how quickly it gets received throughout other parts of Thailand. Due to flooding I won't be at my Nan residence for a few more days. Hopefully if it arrives before I do it doesn't get 'smudged'.
  17. Yepper....freeze the account like they have done mine. If I were wanting to leave Thailand tomorrow and never come back I'd have to do it minus 800k THB frozen in my BBK Bank account! TIT
  18. Wow, could you have written them a longer email? I would have ignored it after the first few sentences. One could only imagine what your resume must have looked like.
  19. .....and yet apparently not a single went and met with the FBU in CM.
  20. ....and it appears not a single person took the opportunity to meet with the FBU... LOL
  21. If I recall somewhere (maybe the form, not sure) it's states not to use a courier service. And as Pib (I believe) posted back to me once, tracking doesn't work. That was exactly true for me last year as I sent it normal mail through Thai post with tracking and the tracking stopped at incoming International mail at JFK.
  22. It appears that with as many folks worrying and complaining nobody took a trip to listen to or express their concerns to the Manila FBU when they were recently in CM. .....And yet some claim to actually live in CM or nearby (Lamphun). Too friggin funny. You just can't make this chit up. TIT
