  1. Smudge? I don't think my form would be smudged if I would be able to receive it. It would be totally drenched and covered in nasty slimming mud. Trying to recover from the recent flood in Nan... 😢
  2. Just curious, how many folks went to Chiang Mai and met with the FBU when they were there a week or so ago?
  3. Cool.... The best post you've made on this thread so far.... cheers!
  4. Are you really that ignorant? They are not frozen (except now by BKK Bank)....nor untouchable I got my extension last week. Why would I be stupid enough to take my balance below 800k (if I could) if I'm expecting to get another extension next year? Move on, quit trolling people. You obviously don't understand. If I were to leave the country next week and wanting to never return why can't I take all my money out of BKK Bank and leave? Not because of immigration but because BKK Bank froze them!!! Oh my 'hypothetically'... lmao
  5. All of it... Problem? Must be.....too funny
  6. No paywall for me, and I don't use a VPN. A potential new Social Security Administration policy would force 3.4 million more people to visit field offices to update their addresses and make other routine requests at a time when the agency’s staffing has been cut and field offices face long wait times for appointments. According to a regulatory filing, the SSA aims to expand the use of multi-step verification to generate a personal identification number (PIN) in order for beneficiaries to make changes to their address, check the status of claims, request benefit-verification letters or ask for tax forms by phone. If a beneficiary can’t handle the PIN process, they would be required to make the changes online or at a field office.
  7. The funds were never FROZEN or untouchable. It was always the individual's responsibility to maintain Immigration's requirements. Is that really so hard to understand?
  8. Just read this: https://www.marketwatch.com/story/social-security-wants-to-make-a-change-that-would-cause-3-4-million-more-people-to-have-to-visit-its-field-offices-fcc697a8
  9. No, immigration does not freeze funds! They merely state the requirements and it's the individual's responsibility to ensure he/she meets those requirements.
  10. Yes, because I don't give a <deleted> about dormant accounts or minimum balance required to keep an account closed.
  11. Can someone start a new thread about banks closing or not closing accounts due to low balance or inactivity? This thread is being hijacked by too many other topics!
  12. Please show me.. I didn't get a copy.
  13. Where's my copy.....?? As I said, I was just signing where the representative was pointing to thinking it was the usual signing requirement to receive my needed statement and letter.
  14. Of course I won't spend every baht. I was being facetious. But I definitely will be spending most or transferring some every month to my daughter's bank.
  15. I know one thing for me... I will be switching to the 65k/month method, pull all my assets out of BKK Bank, and spend every baht of that 65k each month.
  16. Signing that affidavit was really unknown by me and perhaps my fault that I can't read Thai....but I will still seek legal assistance if needed. I thought I was signing just to receive my statement and letter not to approve my assets to be FROZEN! The representative said in English I can't withdraw for 4 months....not that it would be FROZEN! I blew that remark off knowing that immigration's requirement is only 3 months. Besides that, isn't the bank legally required to give me a copy of all the docs I signed? I got none!
  17. I apologize, I just found this thread and haven't read all of it. I just want to say I renewed my retirement extension last week at Nan Immigration. I went in the week prior to BKK Bank and requested a 12 month statement. When going back to pick it up I requested the usual bank letter. At that time they told me that the 800k needed to stay in my account for 4 months, not 3 months like immigration requires. I said that is not right and how long would it take to close my account and receive my money to put into another bank? They said I couldn't do that until 4 months as the assets were frozen. Looking at my balance on my phone app it was minus 800k. I asked the bank representative and she showed me if I dug down into the app menu I would still see that 800k amount in a different field (ledger balance). I have written an email and will be sending it soon to BKK Bank's head office telling them that this requirement is immigration's and not the bank's. And if they don't remove the freeze or allow me to close the account and receive MY money for 4 months then I will be seeking legal assistance. On another note...I didn't see it until recently but on the BBK Bank mobile app a person can request a 12 month statement and receive it via email. Has anyone done this and used it for immigration?
  18. You need to stay away from the yaba or else have your head examined.
  19. If they were up your a$$ you would know!

It's a shut off switch..... start it and then flip the lever. The compressor should stop.
  21. For cheese & rice.....can't you old geezers go to another thread and PAM about politics? I thought this thread was about the 7162?????
  22. ...and yet there are AN members who post about using poison to control soi dogs....
  23. All great information, now go to CM on the 22nd and relay all that to the FBU.......and tell them to fix it or provide better resources!
  24. I take it that you don't read the other posts? I posted this on July 7th: "Looking at my records from last year, my form was dated June 6 when I received it. I mailed it out on June 26th so I'm thinking it probably took a few weeks from the time it was created and mailed to me. After weeks had passed with mailing it I emailed the FBU mid-August and asked if they had received my signed form. They replied saying that since the process is undertaken by the US Central Office they couldn't tell me if it had been received at that time and to query them again in 1-2 months."
  25. Eliminate their jobs? Seriously? They should know that they are overwhelmed if it takes them days/weeks to respond to an email.....and months to react to various requests.....or perhaps the inability for a person to contact them via phone. One would think that they would accept and appreciate some help. Again.....folks should (if they are able) take the time and meet with the FBU in CM and at least be vocal let them know they lack supporting us properly.
